That's honestly what I think they're doing with the music here. They're trying to sedate us. Don't get me wrong. I love some good '90s/early-2000s R&B. But when I'm splashing around in a wave pool with my five-year-old, I'm not sure I need to hear: Sparkle - "Be Careful" Brian McKnight - "Anytime" Brian McKnight - "Back at One" 112 - "Cupid" Joe - "I Wanna Know" Boyz II Men - "A Song for Mama" Like, I love the sappy, nostalgic stuff from the BET Best of Planet Groove album as much as the next person but maybe not while I'm standing waist-deep in a wave pool trying to prevent my five-year-old from wandering into the deep end. At one point I genuinely thought: Are you trying to put me to sleep, or are you trying to make me reflect on my first girlfriend? Because it was working. I'm standing there thinking about how we used to eat at the Kmart Cafe before the Birds game on a Sunday afternoon in ninth grade. Ahh, life was simpler then. Now I'm trying to explain to my kid that he cannot go any farther into the wave pool because he doesn't know how to swim. Does he understand? No. Does Brian McKnight understand what I'm going through? Apparently not because he's serenading me like I'm sitting alone in my bedroom staring at an old photo album. I'm just asking for a little more BPM. I'm not saying turn the place into Disney Jr. radio but maybe we can at least move the R&B selection from "Anytime" to something with a little more bop. Give me "Honey". Give me "I Get Lonely". Give me early 90s Janet. Give me literally anything that makes me feel like I'm at a water park instead of recovering from a breakup in 2002. The music selection is so bizarre and noticeable that it actually became one of the defining parts of my experience. At some point I started wondering if I needed to be evaluated for some sort of condition. The fact that I'm writing this review probably means I do. As for the rides: my five-year-old absolutely loves them. He'll pretty much go on anything except the two rides tucked into the corner of the park. One lifts you way up into the air for a nice view of the park and the other spins you around real fast. Everything else is extremely tame. My eight-year-old daughter will do everything and is gradually getting bored with a decent chunk of the ride section of the park. She absolutely loves the rock-climbing wall and rope course, though, and would probably spend the entire day going back and forth between those two if I let her. She also loves the entire water park. One big tip is if you're local, keep an eye out for the Black Friday season-pass sale. They usually have a fantastic deal and if you're planning on going at least twice over the course of the year, I'd strongly recommend just buying the season pass when it goes on sale over the holiday. I believe it's around $80 per person for the season pass, give or take $10. I honestly don't remember the exact price. Friends of mine who went recently said they paid around $50 per person for a single day. I do not think it's worth it at that price. Overall the kids love it, there's plenty to do, and the water park is adequate for kids. Just be prepared for the possibility that you'll spend your afternoon fighting the waves while Brian McKnight emotionally transports you back to a relationship you haven't thought about in 20 years.

We had to register through the company and sign waivers beforehand before we could rent out the Segway for the tour. I was so nervous because I wasn't 100% happy about driving the Segway in Center city Philadelphia traffic- Philly drivers are the worse! ( I know cause I am one of them!) So we got assigned our Segway and had about 5 minutes to practice and feel comfortable before going out on the street. I wasn't feeling comfortable and I was so scared but I sucked it up and headed out on the road. It was kinda cool zipping through the different streets and getting some information about some of the older buildings and learning about my city a little more. We had a chance to learn about Philadelphia and also had a chance to stop at a sandwich shop I never been to before and had a nice lunch on the spot when we had a chance to take a break. I was nervous the whole time I road the Segway and had the picture of me getting bumped off the road and getting hurt many times- as I rode the Segway I was gripping it so hard my hands were throbbing. Before no time we were racing into the end of the tour and I was kissing the ground that we made it back. That was marked off my to-do list and never again for me.

EXCELLENT TRIP TO GERMANY, SWITZERLAND & AUSTRIA…read more========================== My husband and I booked the eleven day itinerary, but added one day to the beginning and two days to the end. Their website describes the day by day activities and hotels, so you can see the list there. I liked about half of the hotels, but some I would not stay in again like the Hilton in Central Munich, Germany. The breakfast was awful in my opinion and the one dinner wasn't that much better. Our room was alright, but the refrigerator didn't work. They brought an extra one that took up space on the floor. Since Gate 1 books your hotels you don't have control over their hotel choices. Our room at the Hyatt in Mainz smelled like mold, but the hotel kindly switched that room for us. I think my favorite hotel was the AC Marriott in Innsbruck. The food, rooms and location were great. Nadine Sandranowsky was our tour director for our small group of 24. She was great and always did a great job from start to beginning. I would recommend Gate 1 Travel as you do get more bang for your buck.

We have a membership and although we don't use it every month, it's just nice to have as backup option. Never had a problem making an appointment either. They recently added some arcade stuff which was pretty cool and gives them more reason to stay longer. Birthdays - I haven't had the pleasure of hosting yet (was supposed to a few years ago, but covid hit). The manager was very nice, offered a discount on my next birthday booking, and refunded everything back to me without any issues. No fighting, or making multiple calls to try and get a refund. Loved that! Now as for regular staffing, I do think a few need to be trained to speak up more, but I do understand how some teens could be really shy about trying to enforce rules, but it's def needed for safety. Too many times, I have teens trample my kids and nothing was said to them. Also, the long running trampoline area should be monitored more. A few times, my kids wanted to test their flipping skills, but tons of teens are just laying down on it not letting anyone use it. We would come back and check to see if its free to use, but again, same people would be there. I think it should have a line system like the other attractions there. Run down, flip, run back , flip, then get back in line. I've also had issues with kids constantly cutting in front of my daughter and the staff said nothing. I had to step in and tell them they can't have all their friends cutting in front. This happened at the ninja course. Will I be back? Of course. My kids love it. Are there adjustments that are needed? Most definitely.

Despite the fact that the venue was not crowded, I purchased a parent pass only to find myself closely followed by staff members while we tried out the trampolines. I was then informed that only one person was allowed on the trampoline at a time, which seemed restrictive and inconvenient given that I had my children with me. What was most disheartening was an incident involving my child sitting down in one of the massage chairs. Immediately, an announcement blared over the loudspeaker, instructing her to get out of the chair if she was not paying. This public embarrassment was completely unacceptable and far from the friendly atmosphere I hoped for. I spent over a hundred dollars expecting an enjoyable and kid-friendly experience, but instead, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our visit. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider adjustments to improve the environment for families !
