The staff sends you reminders once you book, the closer you get to your reservation window. COVID-19 precautions are practiced here. All of the equipment is sterilized, after use. So its clean when it's your turn to put the gear on. Since the VR goggles are worn on your face, you are given a disposable mask to put on that sits between your VR goggles and your face. The goggles never touch your face. There are several choices of games to pick from. Ranging from Easy to Hard. My wife and I had never played VR type games before. Our fun here was worth the price of admission! I suggest getting here a few minutes before your scheduled time. The staff has to set you up and get you positioned. Date night classes can fill up to 8 guest total--however there was only one other couple there when we went so it was still pretty intimate. They also offer complimentary refreshments which was nice because I love me some chai tea lol. Also, since doing this class we both now qualify for open range since we've been through the safety protocols and have an idea of how to shoot an arrow now. We were assigned a "lane" which is basically a large room all to ourselves with hatchets, 2 target boards to throw at (or into), couches, chairs, and a coffee table. One of the staff members came over to us and gave us lessons on how to throw which wasn't as easy as we thought. The more you practice the better you'll get though and the staff member hung around for a while and assessed our throws and offered us tips. She was there whenever we needed assistance or had questions and even taught us some fun scoring games. Its also BYOB and BYO-food so we ordered in some sushi delivery and brought our own wine and beer. The staff brought our food right to us when it arrived at the front. We all can't wait to go back as this is just a fun place to go for something different. Try it. Even if you don't think ax throwing isn't for you there's plenty to do and you just might have a lot more fun than you expect. I sure did!

We all do escape rooms regularly, including the kids. We've only not made it out of maybe one or two escape rooms so this is right up our alley. We booked in advance and didn't have to wait long like others have stated, so that was great. It was pretty empty for a weekend afternoon. There was one birthday party going on. A lot of employees hanging out but not surprised because it wasn't busy. Our game hostess was fine. Just told us that the screens would tell us what to do and don't move to the next room until the room you're in tells you to (because there was a party in front of us). Also the doors aren't locked so feel free to leave anytime, but the clock won't stop. She also told us to take absolutely everything on us and put it in a locker. Told us she "highly recommended" that we took nothing with us in the game rooms. Again, really common for escape rooms because they don't want you to give it away or take photos. Made sense. It took us at least two tries on each game in each room to understand what we were supposed to do, which wasted time. The instructions weren't amazing, but we figured it was supposed to be hard so didn't think that was complaint-worthy initially. Got to level 8 or so on most rooms, not much higher. Nothing to compare it to since there's nothing like this near us. Screen kept saying we were doing "alright". The room we thought we did the best in said we did "abysmal". Eh, okay, all part of the gag we thought. Maybe no one gets "great" or "nice work". Then we got to the laser room where things went downhill. The screens were supposed to let you switch the laser pattern, but only one screen on one side worked. We did our best and still tried to make the best of it. All in the name of having fun for my son's bday. At the end of the laser room a 10 minute countdown started and a voice said "feel free to take photos while you wait for the next room", which would have been amazing if we weren't encouraged to put them in a locker at the start of the games!!! Waiting for the bomb (foam) in the hallway and are the only team on the screen that chose foam when our team's name disappears from the list. The team in front of us goes ahead and I notice our team name is on their video screen and they are playing as us with our remaining bomb time. And they are going to get foam, not what they actually chose. I flag down a worker and he starts running around to his coworkers who are all chuckling at the mistake, not sincerely worried at all about giving the team already in the bomb room the wrong experience or the wrong amount of time. They got foam - and I don't think they got to do it again. I would not have been happy, but that's up to them to talk to the staff about. The worker then tells us he THINKS he can get us the foam we asked for but that he doesn't know how much time we had on the bomb, so we needed to give him a number. He also says we might have to email for our photos/video since the team before us will be attached to our team name. He tells us that his coworker was supposed to check the team's bands before us to confirm who they were and their bomb type, but forgot. Meantime, the workers behind him continue to be completely unconcerned and are chatting and laughing about it, hanging out, no big deal. No apologies, no concern over the screw up. That was disappointing. We get into our bomb room and everything is covered in slime including the controllers we need to use. We get our controllers and the whole thing shuts down. Computer .exe error. They get it back up and running pretty quickly and we realize as we start to play that at least two of the controllers aren't doing anything. Foam starts to come out before the bomb even goes off and at least one mask fails and we can't even see to finish the game (we were at five completed when this started). I ended up having to just take off my mask and turn around because foam is covering my mouth and I can't breathe. Photos and videos are terrible and we got someone else's video because they went under our team name. I hope they got their stuff eventually! The manager fixed it to our satisfaction, which is why I'm giving it three stars. He asked if we were staying to do other games, but didn't even know that was included or an option, so better communication too would have been great. I wish we could go back and try again to give it another chance, but there isn't one within four states of us. Hoping everyone else has a good experience because this could be amazing! We found another fun experience to finish the birthday and honestly believe you should give this a chance. Leaving this review more for the manager and staff so they know where it all went wrong.

In fact we will probably come back here to do another room and we wouldn't bother if it had not been for how friendly the staff is, especially (but not exclusively) someone named Jack. Seriously, whomever owns/runs this place, take note: you need to give this man a raise, because without him and the other people working there, we would never come back. We did the horror/spooky themed room "The Estate" which is fairly high tech in many ways. Lots of really cool digital effects, in theory a very well designed room. Unfortunately our *very first* two puzzles did not function properly. One of the very first doors that is meant to spring open didn't do so; it popped open a crack but we couldn't pull it open easily and given the rules to never force things open, we didn't want to pull it HARD, which it turns out we should have. Also, after solving the very first puzzle, a door that was supposed to spring open did not do so. They have a rule that you cannot ask for a hint for the first ten minutes, so for ten minutes we milled around feeling stupid until we finally asked for a clue that literally spelled out how to solve the next major puzzle - and when we did, a door opened with a prop hidden inside that had *the way to solve the puzzle we just solved* written inside of it. So that was pretty damned frustrating. Certain other things were a bit off here and there, but the deisgn and concept were very immersive so ultimately we let it go and as a duo of only two we managed to finish with ten minutes left (but it would have been more if we hadn't wasted the first ten.) If this place could get it's sh*t together to not have broken puzzles/doors/portions, they'd probably avoid these negative reviews. My advice: come here, give it a try, but say to your gamemaster before you start "I have read some recent reviews saying that some puzzles and traps are having problems. Can you please be very attentive during our experience and make sure nothing goes wrong, and if it does, help to correct it quickly?"

Our game master was Allan. Allan was very energetic and gave out clues if our group was stumped and we requested a clue (all while wearing a hilarious oversized Alice in Wonderland hat) .We actually made it through both rooms and were informed we beat the other groups that tried to solve the escape room earlier. If you love solving puzzles and working with a team, this could be your jam. If you get flustered easily, escape rooms are probably not your thing. As always people SYOY!!!
