Dr. Chesnut provides excellent medical services for me and my wife. She's so personable, and very thorough during our medical examinations.

My wife has been seeing Dr. Chestnut for several years but she will be finding a new doctor. She had severe ear pain last night. This office refused to see her because we traveled to Utah to ski over spring break recently. Apparently that is too much of a covid19 concern. Well, that's ridiculous. We were at less risk in wide open Utah and an airbnb than the grocery store here at home. Plus, isn't the doctor and her staff vaccinated by now? What an unscientific policy. Dr. Chestnut told my wife to go see urgent care instead. She did, and we'll certainly be seeing a new doctor from now on, too. read more

Wouldn't it be great if you could bypass the office staff when you evaluate your "going to the doctor" experience? Especially if you go to this office. I called because I forgot when my appointment to just talk to the doctor was: no call back. I remembered on my own when I was supposed to be there and then was in for more excitement. Kelly at the desk never smiled, just asked for my insurance card, and stuck papers in front of me to fill out and sign. The waiting room had KISS.FM blasting: good thing we all like that kind of music, and oh, wow, the plasma flat screen with drug promotions for diabetes and sleep meds was a nice touch! Almost as good as watching TV ads at home. Allen took me back to the room, and didn't introduce himself until I asked him what his name is. By the time the doc got into the room, I was primed. I supposed it is important to have someone to go to in an emergency. Everytime I deal with the medical establishment, it is more incentive to stay healthy. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Chestnut's for over 10 years, following her from 3 offices, even though she has moved farther and farther from my home. Why would I do that, you might ask? I like her because she is a physician that continually keeps up with current developments in her field, she consistently has shown a long term concern for my health and she has always seemed devoted to not just me but all her patients. But all of these aren't the main reason I still see her. I have continued to follow her because for me the most important quality of a physician is the quality of person they are. I like that Dr. Chestnut is a person of integrity and a quality human being... unlike other doctors I've had. She isn't the type of MD who is just a blank prescription pad. Some of the other reviews here seem to heap the failings of the entire healthcare field into their critique, I don't think that's fair. I also don't go to her office to watch TV so I don't mind the plasma TV with promo's. Bottom line I've had serious medical conditions, ( Happily they are no longer present) and I trust her judgment... I've staked my life on it... and I can't think of a more ringing endorsement from a patient for a MD!!! read more

Dr. Chesnut's assistant, Allan, did finally call me back. But his message to me was, "don't pay the insurance, we're working on something". I'm glad that I actually paid because I don't want creditors banging on my door - because Dr. Chesnut / her office never called back or followed up with me. My bill was only a little over $100 and I can afford to have this kind of uncalculated expenses once in awhile. But what if this happened to someone who can't afford it? I, personally, really like Dr. Chesnut. She is always very thorough and I feel comfortable with her. Fortunately I've only had to see her a couple times thanks to good health but every time has been fine. I'm never kept waiting long, I feel good with the results and I'm pleased with her examination. One gripe is that they recently switched to electronic files and sent me a questionaire which I filled out and returned but they went over the exact same questions in the office. Why do the survey if they were just going to ask me the questions when I came in? I will continue to see Dr. Chesnut! read more

I love dr. chesnut and her staff. She diagnosed my diabetes and takes good care of me. While my blood pressure rises at my appointment. I have been a patient of hers for about 4 years. She schedules my follow up visits in a timelly manner. Her office staff has always been pleasant to me. I have no problems with her being my doctor.. I hate to give bad reviews but this one I tried hard to make work with zero help on the office's part. I've finally had enough. I had high hopes of finding our primary doctor in Dr. Chesnut but this office experience was repeatedly a poor and negative experience. Dr. Chesnut is decent with well-patient care, but anytime we needed a doctor because we were sick or had specific issues of concern, we had to wait months (as in 4-6 months). What is the point of that?! The front office staff is rude and disorganized. Any phone or personal interaction with them left us frustrated as patients due to the lack of caring and concern. In the 1-1.5 years that we tried to make things work at Dr. Chesnut's practice, the Urgent Care has way more of our records than our primary doctor because we were diverted to Urgent Care more often than not. They argue that they have a designated of sick appointments that they sometimes have available each day, but I tried daily to call in and if you are not one of the people who makes it through to their busy phone lines before 8:10 a.m., you are out of luck. We felt insignificant and helpless. More often than not, it was the attitude of "Too bad; go to Urgent Care" or "If you don't like the way it is, go somewhere else". They could easily hire a PA or NP to cover any overage needs in the schedule, but they truly don't care as long as they continue to have patients that pay to be seen. My husband and I seriously found ourselves plotting about scheduling a "well" appointment for the cold season 6 months in advance just so that we could be seen when we typically needed our doctor. This is not the care we were used to prior to moving to this area. We have decided that we will keep looking to find a doctor and doctor's office that cares about the health of the individual rather than the dollar figure represented by how many patients can be seen in one day. read more

I went to Dr. Chesnut once, and will not be going back. I got to the office at 9:45 for a 10:00 appointment, and wasn't called back until well after 11:00. I understand that sometimes things like this happen, but there was no sort of attempt at an apology or explanation. Ironically, while I was waiting another patient came in a few minutes late and was chewed out by the receptionist. During my long wait I got a good look at the waiting room. It was very sterile, with few magazines and a tv running ads for pharmaceutical companies. I also got to witness a pharmaceutical rep coming in and flirting with the receptionist, who then told him all about how she got roofied at a club the previous weekend. UNPROFESSIONAL!! When I finally got called in, there was nothing on the exam room walls except a poster explaining how to be a good patient, including tips like being on time, which I found kind of condescending and frankly a slap in the face considering the circumstances. When Dr. Chesnut finally came in, she was nice enough. I kind of got the feeling that she didn't take my concerns seriously, but to be fair she did order some tests and give me a referral to a specialist, so I guess that is all that really matters. Yes, when going to a doctor, the most important thing is accurate diagnosis and treatment. However, if this were any other business, the things that I noticed would be unacceptable. Dr. Chesnut may be a good doctor, but living in L.A. I am sure I can find another good doctor that will provide an all-around better experience. read more

I am not sure what happened the day that this person was there, but I have been a patient of Dr. Chestnuts for over a year and on any occasion in which I have left a message, I received a call back in a short time. The office staff Amy being the main appointment setter and greeter, has never been anything but pleasant, professional and accomodating. Dr. Chestnut is all that you could ask for in a physician. She takes time to listen to you and doesn't make you feel rushed. She errs on the side of caution and is not one to take the wait and see approach. I switched to Dr. Chesnut when I moved to the area, and I couldn't be happier. On my first visit, she diagnosed me with a condition that I had been to my previous doctor about 5 times for. She knew right away what it was, and what would help. After two weeks of following her orders, my pain was alleviated. That is one thing I like about her . . she really knows her stuff. Also, all of the physicians she has referred me to are top notch. She really thinks about who would be best for you before she gives you a name. I still drive 15 minutes to get to her, but it is really worth it for the care that I receive. Dr. Chestnut has been our family physician for 10 years, and we recommend her highly. We have appreciated her cheerful, caring spirit and her highly professional service. During these ten years we have had some medical concerns which turned out not be be serious. In every case, Dr. Chestnut did tests and referred us appropriately. Her care was prompt, caring, and we trusted her as a clinician who seemed to be up on the latest findings. Staff changes from time to time but they are always kind and responsive. I would challenge that negative review. I TOTALLY agree with Michael K. We are new patients (husband, son, and I) of Dr. Chestnut. We are also new to an HMO. I have had so many questions in regard to having our first Primary Care physician and in regard to all the HMO rules. Amy has been uber patient and helpful (answers the phone). Dr. Chestnut took a lot of time with all of us, she dotted every "I", and crossed every "t." She is a true doctor...the way they all USE to be before all the docs had to run more patients thru to make more money from the insurance claims. She actually LISTENED to my health history and followed up with things that I needed to do. Suggestions that the supposed FIVE star docs have never done!!! Alan called and sent the approvals immediately. She is also witty...and thoughtful. She is one of the best docs that our family has ever had. We move a lot...so...THAT says something!!! read more

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Chesnut since her days at Community Medical Group. We followed her to Regal and have only had excellent and timely responses from the doctor and staff. Sorry for the negatves that were previously shared, but I have found staff at all levels to be courteous, friendly, helpful, timely in responding, and efficient. Prescription requests and routine telephone calls are handled within 24 hours. I rarely wait even 5 minutes past my appointment time, and do not feel rushed during my office visit. My comments and observations are over nearly 10 years. During that time if there was a consistent pattern of the difficulties cited by the other reviewers, I would have been long gone..... no negative experiences to report from this family.... quite the contrary. read more

Dr Chestnut is a wonderful doctor and very kind and thorough. However, as a new patient it took me 3 months to get in. When I visited the office to establish, my Rxs were never sent to Medco mail order as I requested. Thank goodness I had meds to last a few weeks. Now it's time to fill so Medco called the office, faxed, emailed and nothing. I have also left her assistant Jessica 2 messages. I got one message back asking me to take blood work but nothing in regards to the actual Rx issue. I also reported blood in my stool and they can't fit me in the schedule. It's ridiculous. I need to find another PCP ASAP. If I can't get in not get my meds, then I don't really have a doctor do I. I would be better off going to urgent care. I don't have an HMO so there is no reason to go back. The unfortunate part is that I really like Dr Chestnut. She was recommended by another Dr but too hard to actual see her and be managed by the office. read more

Dr. Chesnut has been my primary care provider for about 12 years. She has been the most competent, professional and personable doctor I have had in my 6 decades of life. She pretty much knows everything about my physical and emotional well being. When I go in for physicals, we have a long back and forth chat to address past issues, current problems, and advice to avoid future issues. Its not a one way conversation, she is actually a very good listener. I've had Drs. that do all the talking and never listen to you. Not so here. She is extremely thorough, and goes over my health timeline from top to bottom (no pun intended). Whenever I needed to see a specialist, she pushes my referrals through quickly and always follows up. Her diagnosis and medical advice has always been spot on for me. She surrounds herself with a friendly, professional staff, who have always made me feel comfortable (yes, love that Jessica). I've had excellent staff support regarding appointments, lab work, insurance issues, explanation of benefits, etc... If you are looking for a competent health care professional, who will care for you as a Dr. and a friend, look no further. So, I give a huge thumbs up for Dr. Chesnut and her staff! read more

Dr. Treise Chesnut and her staff are extremely attentive and professional. I am very discerning when it comes to medical care, and have been going to her since she was with Community Medical Group, and when she opened up her new practice, I followed her a short time later, and moved all my records to her office. She is very thorough as far as I am concerned. When Dr Chesnut was with a larger group practice, my PCP was there also but every time I had an urgent issue, my doctor was not available and I'd get another doctor. Strange things happened to me over the years, and the only one who fixed me was (I later realized) Dr. Chesnut. So when she started her own practice (I noticed in the newspaper) I switched doctors and now she fixes all my bizarre afflictions every time they pop up. I love her sense of humor and her comforting care, and she is just really good at figuring out what is wrong, and making sure that I get to specialists when needed. Very attentive. My husband recently switched to her also and he especially likes the doctor's assistant (?) Jessica who often fixes his issues directly. It may take a while to get a check-up appt scheduled but for urgent issues they will always get you in. Oh also, while Dr Chesnut was out on vacation I was tended to by her partner Dr. Lee who is also very good. The office staff are all very pleasant. There is a Quest Diagnostics lab right next door and the medical center building is very lovely. Big steps up to the door but I think there is a handicap rail car you can ride up if needed. read more
