Went to the location because it's close to our house. We have received a bunch of emails about the sales going on. The guy at the store said he didn't know about a sale. He also said that there were a few floor models available, but he couldn't order anything. We asked if he could please call a few other locations and he agreed to do that. The bike we wanted was available at a location an hour+ away. This location lost the sale because they didn't care to do the work. The store itself is nice. Good inventory, and supply of parts and accessories also. Friendly, helpful sales staff. But the new location on Airport Road is definitely not bike friendly. It's at the convergence of some of the most heavily traveled truck & car roads in the Lehigh Valley. My wife and I used to hold Allentown Trek in high esteem. We had our ebikes seviced there @ 6 times in past few years - even though it is 90 min drive from our home. Last visit, however, was very disappointing. My Electra Townie Go 7D developed weird noise from rear hub. Steady soft grinding noise, whenever the pedals were in motion. So we took it to Allentown Trek, and a few days later they called and told us to come pick it up. So we did, but when I then rode it, after we got home, the same weird grinding noise was present. I recall the tech at the shop told us all diagnostic test results were normal, and there was no charge. Well, I'm guessing they don't use their ears as a diagnostic test device. Great service. Took two bikes in for routine service. They do a once over on the bikes before checking them in which was a straight forward way to avoid surprises. Speedy service, Was back within 24 hours for pick up. Will definitely be going back. read more

Thank you Trek Bicycle Allentown for making our Ellie's birthday extra special! My in-law's purchased Ellie's bike in November for her birthday and for unforeseeable reasons and at no fault of Trek's her bike never arrived. After waiting a few months she finally received her new bike!! The employees at Trek went above and beyond to make it extra special for her once she finally got her bike. They decked out her bike, gave her cupcakes, cool merch and made her feel like it was her birthday all over again. Customer service like that is hard to come by these days and they outdid themselves. I was visiting the area over the weekend and got a flat on my tire on Sunday afternoon. They replaced the tube super quick, but having learned I was from out of the area they helped me via suggesting safe routes to places of interest. It was very much appreciated that they understand safety of cyclists. Great people in that store. read more

We wandered in here after visiting another bike shop in the Lehigh Valley. We were on the hunt for a men's road bike in XL and struck out at the last place so we decided to give this place a whirl. The sales guy was fine I guess...he greeted us by kinda making us feel like they don't have bikes in our price range and that everything they had was expensive. Mind you, all he said to us up to this point was "hello, how can I help you?" and my husband had said "good, I'm just looking for an XL road bike, I'm kinda new to riding." I think the sales guy took that as we were looking for something cheap?? I have no idea, but I didn't appreciate being judged right off the bat. The bikes were not out of our price range as far as what we were expecting to pay. I already have a Trek Mountain bike so I'm very familiar with the brand. We ended up only being there maybe 15 minutes because like the last place, they didn't have any access to any XL bikes anymore this year until the new model year bikes come out. We probably won't be buying here since they made us feel kinda weird right off the bat. read more

I've done a lot of bike business at Bike Line (which is now called "Trek") in Allentown. Recently I called and said that I was having trouble inflating my tires, and given that I bought both bike and pump there, could they help? They encouraged me to come right over and were immediately helpful. They taught me how to inflate the tire, and then realized that there was a problem with the pump, which they replaced (with a better model) for free. I was so pleased that I came back later to purchase a few items. In chatting the employee talked about what a great place it is to work, underscoring the idea that happy employees lead to happy customers. I will always do business with these guys. (Although they need to hire some women for diversity.) read more

I took my bike in to get fixed and said I wanted a full tuneup before I moved. I ended up paying for the cheapest option which I Think was around $80. They said I didn't need the more expensive options which required fully taking apart my bike but only for about $40-$50 more. I told them the bike was about 10 years old and they said it looks fine. I also told him specific problems that I wanted fixed. When I got the bike back it looked as if they hadn't touched it. The pedal ended up falling off two weeks later while I was riding it. The gears were also never fixed properly back into place. I pretty much paid for them to hold it in their shop for a week and then give it back to me. read more

I was in this morning to buy a bike. I was waited on after several minutes. The man waiting on me showed me a bike or two, and answered several questions. As we were talking, he saw a couple looking at the clearance bikes. He began discussing with them the differences in the new and old models. Although they were being helped, he acted as if I was no longer there. I had plenty of other questions for him regarding the gear I would need to go with the bike. Although I wasn't sure of buying it today, I planned on buying it at that shop because I like to shop locally.
