We returned to this store after three years to take advantage of their kids bike trade in program. The policy is for the kids bike only, not adult bikes. We can bring back the bike we bought from their store within 3 years. They will give us half of the price credit towards another new bike in the store. This time Staff Claudia assisted us. She was at first little occupied but she was friendly overall. She was knowledgeable and helpful. The reason was minus one star is limited display bikes. Many of the rack are empty. Claudia said they have boxes of bike in the back, but they are not built yet. So I picked two styles of bike for them to build, so my son can try them on before buying. We will have to return in a week's time. Another worth mentioning is we fix the brakes on my daughter's bike. They fixe bikes from everywhere including those bought from other places. Technician John McAllister was very helpful and patient. Obviously he was very knowledgeable in what he was doing. He even adjusted seat and adjust other minor parts for free. Friendly knowledgeable technicians, clear explanations on what needs to be done and why, choice of replacement options, fair prices and assurance that the parts used will be correct for my Trek bike. The store looks upscale and may seem intimidating from the outside (like a luxury car dealer) but the people inside are down to earth, professional and wonderful. Repairs that were done on my 40 year old Trek Mountain Bike were meticulous and the bike is better than ever! Parking can be difficult but wasn't a problem on Saturday morning or Friday late afternoon. Only caveat are their hours which are 11-7 most days and they are closed Monday so riders who might prefer to get accessories or quick adjustments before a morning ride are out of luck. read more

Really nice morden bike shop,the decor is impressive,nice wooden floors,cool lighting,great set up.They have some really good trek bicycles. I own a trek my self, and have been riding the same one for about a decade. Last time I was at this particular trek bikes, I was looking for a large bike saddle ,during the pandemic, and they didn't have it ,but the staff was great, really good customer service, they treated me really well. Showed me some different style seats and some other accessories, which were really cool. This is definitely a top notch clean bicycle shop in forest hills queens. read more

The business, needs to have a ticket number to get service. I walked in on a Sunday and no one at the front desk which seems to be for another type of service. Maybe at the bare minimum a sign that says SERVICE or what other service is offered. So as I walk to the back of the store where I see a worker with a customer, I wait patiently and an apparent second worker comes out and ignores me and took some other customer. So after trying to maintain my composure, I interrupted her and asked her if they can fix a flat tire. After an apology I was told I can get a flat fixed to bring it in and that other employee was for service. Certainly, focusing on one customer is great customer service, the confusion for new first time visitors could drive them away, a simple excuse me to the current customer and acknowledgement to the other customers would go a big way. Needless to say I did not give them my business and I went to a much friendlier place Spin City Cycle and the service was cheaper. read more

Had my bikes serviced here in June...very reasonable and friendly service. Recently, wife was having issues with her gears. Gave them a call, they said come over. Took us in right away...explained the issue. They started working on the bike while we waited and explained everything they were doing. It is so good to have a bike shop in the area again. Brought my Specialized bike in for service after a pretty bad crash. They fixed it up nice after another local shop had it and missed a bunch of stuff. Staff was friendly, Joshua (tech who worked on my bike) didn't try to oversell me anything, explained and showed me what they found and what they would do, and kept it all in my budget. read more

I was really impressed with the service provided at Trek Forest Hills. Every single employee who I talked to was extremely courteous, kind, knowledgable, and really made sure to understand what the problem was with my bike. Joshua ended up helping me and he did a great job and totally restored my bike. He also went above and beyond to help me attach a basket to my bike that was a brand that he was unfamiliar with. I brought my Trek FX3 bike here after another bike shop butchered the assembly. The Trek team here was readily able to figure out what was wrong and fix it in a timely manner. I was able to pick up my bike within 48 hours of dropping it off. I would highly recommend this store for tune ups or for buying a new bike. read more

Amazing customer service here. Brought my bike in for service since my pedal came off (did not purchase bike here), and on top of quickly fixing the pedal, they fixed the brake wires which were tangled and added air to my tires for such a low price! Highly recommend. read more

I went to this bike shop to get my flat tire fixed. This is a high end bike shop that sells quality bikes and ebikes. But when I got there the manager told me that he would not be able to work on my ebike unless It had a Bosch motor. He stated that with Bosch motor bikes he would be able to fix it as he had the parts available and fixing any other motorized bike would pose a liability. My issue was I simply needed a flat fixed, the motor would not have to be touched at all. That is the reasoning for the 1 star review, my bike is extremely important for my job as an essential worker delivering medication and food to those unable to go out during these times. Tried to see if the manager could understand my situation and while I understand his liability concerns, I just needed a patch work, no work on the motor at all. read more

Simple perfect. I brought my new Trek FX 6 in for a brake adjustment and gear adjustment. Josh went over the whole bike and did not charge me extra for the safety check. The brakes still squeaked a few weeks later and I brought the bike back and it was fixed at no charge. I was prepared to buy new brakes and Josh told me I did not need them. I also thought my chain may need to be replaced and Josh also told me it was not necessary. They are honest and reliable. Highly recommended. Only problem is there is no parking in Forest Hills. read more

When he mentioned that the parts I needed were not available from his vendor, I asked for specifics which he provided promptly. I needed to fix my headset on my bike and i usually look on google maps for bike shops near me . I don't trust any other bike shop because they'll charge an arm and a leg for a non-existent problem , so i was looking for q good one with good reviews and saw this trek bike shop one and originally thought they only sold bikes and i read that they also did repairs and based off the good reviews decided this was the best bike shop to pick from. So i went early in the morning asked if they serviced bikes and the lady upfront by the counter said "yes" and directed me towards the maintenance guy , i approach him and greeted him and he greets me too and i told him i had a headset issue and he says he'll check it out in the back and then i asked how much and he said he will see how much after he can diagnose the issue . He comes back no more than 10 minutes later and confirms the headset was loose and it needed a quick adjustment i asked him how much was it and he said its free it was a quick adjustment took no time , so i left and will continue coming here for repairs or maintenance in the future . read more
