Ryan was very responsive and came out to evaluate the space and provided a sketch design within a week. Once I gave the word to proceed, he ordered the new rocks and plants. Once he knew when the rock would be delivered, he arranged for his team to complete the work the same day. They did the project in one day, while I and my significant other were at work. The job had to start with Ryan's team clearing out the layers of mulch and rock in all three flower beds. Then they laid down the weed barrier, planted the new plants and finally added the new rock. Ryan also did a fantastic job treating the stone bordering all of the beds. Our neighbors keep telling me they can't believe the transformation and also continue to comment on how beautiful everything looks. Thanks again to Ryan and his team. I left my bike to davidsworldcycle in lakeland for minor adjustment front brake,derailleura adjustment, and lastly slight wobble front wheel, was told it'll be ready within 2 days and they will call when its ready, 1 week had past and no call, i called they said next day be ready, next day come nothing, 2 weeks later, i called again, same answer. 3rd week. i called no answer, decided to swing by the store and ask. all the sudden its ready, I asked questions about the problem or what could cause it, could not really answer the question with confident, took the bike home, rode around the blocked, problem still persist front brake had gotten worst, seems like they only cleaned the chain. STAY AWAY from lakeland davids world cycle. They are only good, when your buying your bike, repair wise, take its somewhere else. Dropped my bike off yesterday for a gear adjustment and told them I didn't need it until tomorrow and they said ok. I rode my other bike up to David's today to have it serviced and to pick up my first bike, but they now informed me it would be 1 week to adjust the gears on my first bike. They only had two people working yesterday and only one today and it was steady both days. If you are that backed up and busy, couldn't you schedule more people or worst case, hire more? Just had my preference confirmed that David's is one level above all the bike stores in Fl. I had extensive work done on my Madone this week in the Lakeland store. The owner of this shop has quite an attitude. My boyfriend bought brand named gloves from this shop…read moreand they ripped within 2 hours of a bike ride. Not the shops fault. As any regular person would do, you go back to the place you bought it from to return it. We showed up with the gloves and packaging that it came with. We were really nice, explained what happened, the gloves were in brand new condition but the seeming came loose on one of the gloves. We asked if we could simply return or exchange the gloves and before we could finish the rest of what we were saying we were cut off and told "No sorry we don't deal with that that's not our problem thats under Foxes policy. You have to deal with their warranty and give them a call." We said, "Ok that's cool but we bought them from you. Could we get a receipt printed please?" Then he got all huffy and heated and started saying things like "This is not my problem I just sell Fox gloves I don't even support the brand. If I take the return from you then that means I'M the one that has to deal with Foxes warranty policies and I just don't have time for that!" and then he got defensive and said, "Look, I'm a small business owner, I can't take that kind of hit! I bring in around $10,000 a year I think Fox can take a bigger hit than that for a return." And kept complaining about how hard it is to be a small business owner. We explained to him that we understand because we own a small business too and that we weren't trying to upset him, we're just trying to get our money back from someone. Then he went into another rant about Fox gloves and how terrible they are but he sells them because "Everyone wants to buy Fox gloves". When we tried to defuse his steaming attitude by being cool and letting him know we understand he kept cutting us off, interrupting us, and then walked away from us at the counter and said, "SEE MAN WE'RE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS! I'm not having this conversation with you anymore. It's all the same I've heard the story about Fox a million times. You just want a pair of free gloves!" Um no? We literally bought them from you for $26 and some change. He treated us as if we were attacking him about a return on gloves. I hate to imagine what this guy is like when someone actually needs help with a more expensive product when he gets this defensive over a pair of gloves that he sells but doesn't even support the product nor wants to help the customer who gave them their business. No thanks bud we'll go down to Winthrop where Bike Works is, where the owner José, would NEVER speak to us like that over a glove return. If a customer comes to you for help, own that moment with them. Go the extra mile to help them out instead of complaining about how hard your life is as a small business owner, then make the customer take care of a product that YOU carry and sell but don't even stand behind? And you want to get mad at us for buying something you don't even support when we came to your shop and bought it from you because we gave you business? And then treat us like we're stupid? We all got problems and no one cares when you push your problems on someone else especially a customer who is giving YOU business. Do not go to this shop. They can't even uphold what they promise on their site. P.S. We went to Foxes website. It says that if the shop is not an authorized dealer they don't accept warranties or returns. We called to give it a shot. They won't take the return. Which means he just didn't want to give us a return and pocket $26 instead of helping us out because we're still stuck with gloves that didn't work well. We brought our business to this place because we liked it. We could have gone anywhere else. In fact we were going to bring our bikes for a tune up which is easily $50-$75 per bike. He could have made more money off of us just by being kind and helping us out. But instead chose to shoo us away because he didn't want to deal with a glove return himself even though he sold them to us, behave rudely when we were cool with him, and were planning to give him more business. Thanks a lot.
