Washing Machine stopped midstream and wouldn't drain or turn. So I went to Yelp and put in a repair quote for my appliance guy Pete who I've used several times with outstanding service. He immediately replied that he was closed because of Covid 19. But I also received an immediate response from Billy of Island Appliance who said Connie was in the office and to giver her a call to set up an Appt. So I did. Connie indeed was in the office at 9pm and said her technician was out on a call in Huntington. She contacted him and got back to me within 10 mins. He gave me the choice of coming by after he finished the Huntington job or tomorrow. In this crazy times of Covid 19 I was able to get immediate service. He or should I say they SHOWED UP AT 11:30pm?! YES that's exactly what I said!! 11:30pm! Appliance angels! He had the parts (Drain Pump & bearings) & fixed my washer promptly. Not sure but I think it was his son with him. He was teaching while fixing. Both were Very friendly. This truly meant the world to me because fortunately both me & my son are still working so we need to be able to wash our things in the short span of time that we are home. I had an issue with my dryer so I called Blue Vision. He answered the phone right away and was able…read moreto come immediately which was a huge plus for me since I was off of work that day. He came by with an assistant, wearing masks and putting booties on their shoes when they walked in the house. He took apart the dryer and diagnosed the problem as a bad motor and he'd order the part, pick it up and install it the next day. So the next day, I took off work so I can get this taken care of and I didn't hear from him by mid day. I figured it would be later on, but decided to give him a call anyway to see the status but it went to voicemail. I called 2 more times that day with no call back. I took off of work because he said he was coming the next day and he never showed up or even bothered to call me. The next day he did call me in the morning and said he will come that following day. He finally came and fixed the dryer which I was grateful for. He did leave a small mess behind which is in the picture, plus a little more, which included plastic wrappers, the old motor belt, screws, and a water bottle all on the floor. Like I said, I was grateful for him to fix the dryer but at least clean up after you are done especially since there is a garage can within 4 feet of the dryer. It did cost me a couple hundred bucks, which I felt was a little high, but I also felt I was at the mercy of a repairman during a pandemic and just needed it fixed. Overall, I am glad he fixed the dryer. If he communicated better and cleaned up after himself, this would be a little bit more of a positive review.
