So I Bing (Like Google just different search engine) Appliance Stores with great service. And Gringer popped up. Tom gave me a tour of all that they had to offer including the downstairs. He also informed me that if I chose to use them that I could buy the appliances and they would hold onto them until I was ready for delivery. I liked this option. Seven months later, because wrong windows were ordered & kitchen floor needing to be replaced with new floor joists. I'm finally back at Gringer and Andrew helps me this time. Keep in mind both times I go to the store after work in my work clothes, so I'm kinda not smelling that great, diesel fuel & dirt on my sweatshirts. Not cute at all. But They treated me as if I had walked in with a Chanel suit. No judgement. And he does some thing that I think all customer service people should do. He asked me what I liked in the appliances that I was looking for what my style was, and what features that I needed. Then said he would put together some appliance packages. He asked me what I was OK with. Like if I needed to stay with the same brand or was it OK to mix and match and he said he would email me what he had for me & to go over them at my leisure, and get back to him. I appreciate a person who is a man or woman of their word, and he did exactly that. He gave me many options. He got back to me in a timely manner along with the options. He emailed me all of the spec sheets and everything had the cost on it. I went to appliance world in Huntington, Plessers in Babylon, Capuano in Farmingdale, several PC Richards and yes, even Lowe's and Home Depot. And online of course. So yes, I shopped around but from my first meeting with Tom and Andrew, I knew it was gonna come down to service which is very important when buying appliances . But not only was the service great the prices were outstanding and the fact that they checked out every rebate and discount for me was awesome. Finance options were also explained thoroughly. I didn't get delivery until February because this project is ridiculously long. So Gringer held my appliances for me until I was ready for delivery! My contractor took even longer to hook them up so I didn't know how great they were until this weekend. But I cannot recommend highly enough Gringer's exemplary customer service from beginning to end. And beautiful appliances to boot! 4-22-2024

To make matters worse, the fridge recently broke due to a faulty compressor. Had I known the truth, I never would have bought it. Feels like a huge case of misrepresentation. I turned to Vito Jr. at Smithtown Appliance, and the experience was flawless. Because of the specific dimensions of our laundry area, we needed surgical precision. Vito coordinated the entire project perfectly. He "had a guy" for every step of the process. A huge shoutout goes to Sam and the installation team. They arrived early to disconnect the old units and returned immediately after the delivery crew finished the heavy lifting--navigating those brownstone stairs with the old units out and the new ones in without a hitch. Sam's team then finished the installation with expert care, ensuring everything fit the custom space perfectly. In a city where delivery stories usually involve a lot of stress and "curbside only" excuses, Smithtown Appliance delivered a masterclass in service and coordination. If you want the job done right--especially in a challenging space--this is the place to go.

Had to call for months to get 2 air conditioners delivered and installed…read more I visited store in June...It's now the end of August 2025!. They were installed by JSA installers, a very professional, fair, and friendly two gentlemen. I'm still waiting for the bill for the 2 air conditioners. I paid the installers in cash and gladly tipped them.

I was assisted by Mario, who was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and truly exceptional throughout the entire sales process. After explaining my space limitations, Mario recommended PC Richard's $50 in-home assessment service, where a surveyor visits to take measurements before purchase to ensure the appliance will fit. I was interested in the LG WashTower, replacing my previous GE washer/dryer combo. The surveyor completed the measurements and advised that the installation would be tight but feasible. I returned to the store, and Mario expertly guided me through the purchase. He answered every question and concern thoroughly, never rushing the process. His professionalism and genuine connection with customers are exactly what great customer service should look like. We secured the sale and delivery date without issue. Unfortunately, the delivery experience started off terribly. The first installation crew arrived, looked at the space, and immediately said, "Why didn't you buy the same machine? It's not going to fit." I was surprised because I had specifically paid for an assessment from PC Richard's to avoid this exact situation. After bringing the LG WashTower into my home, one crew member began speaking to the others in Spanish, saying that the unit would not fit. He then stated in English, "We can't do this. It won't fit." I explained that a surveyor from their own company had measured the space and approved the installation. I asked whether this was truly an installation issue or simply a service issue. The lead installer paused and attempted to explain that I should never have been told the appliance would fit. While I was discussing the situation with Mario on speakerphone, the crew simply walked away, leaving without completing the installation or haul-away service. To make matters worse, they forged my electronic signature and marked the delivery as completed. Thankfully, Mario immediately stepped in and handled the situation with professionalism and urgency. Within an hour, he arranged for a second installation crew to come to my home. This is where the experience completely turned around. Jorge and Joel arrived and were outstanding from the moment they walked in. Jorge calmly assessed the situation, listened to what had happened, and immediately got to work. Watching Jorge and Joel work together was incredible. Their teamwork, professionalism, competence, and positive attitude were the complete opposite of what I had experienced earlier. Despite being a two-person crew instead of three, they successfully installed the LG WashTower and completed the haul-away service in approximately two hours. This review is intentionally long because customer experience doesn't end at the point of sale. A great salesperson can create a wonderful buying experience, but a poor installation can ruin it completely. I want to specifically recognize Mario, Jorge, and Joel for turning what could have been a disastrous experience into a positive one. Their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to customer satisfaction are the reason I will return to this branch for future purchases. As for the first crew, I strongly encourage management to investigate their conduct. Installation jobs vary in difficulty, and there is a significant difference between "can't do it" and "won't do it." Their behavior came across as unwillingness rather than inability, and forging a customer's signature is completely unacceptable. Thank you, Mario, Jorge, and Joel, for restoring my confidence and proving what true customer service looks like.

Appliance World came through for us when GE did not! Our GE PROFILE electric 30" slide in double…read moreoven was installed May 22, 2025. It shut down on Thanksgiving Day while I was preparing dinner for 12 people in our newly renovated kitchen. GE Bodewell "repaired" FOUR times. Within minutes of the repair tech leaving our house EVERY TIME the bottom oven beeped, showed faults, smelled awful and shut down. I spent literally hours trying to speak to an actual person at GE. I finally spoke to someone who promised that the situation would be escalated and my request for a SAFE replacement would be "considered ". They eventually refused to do more than send another technician. I didn't have an oven for Christmas dinner, either. Appliance World did NOT HAVE to help in any capacity other than to contact GE. BUT THEY DID!!! They replaced, delivered and installed my new range this morning--all at their own expense. We've been loyal Appliance World customers for years, and will continue to go to them for our next appliance purchase. THANK YOU!! I want to add that we received frequent updates concerning delivery and installation times and Oscar and his crew were extremely efficient, helpful and professional. They were careful and respectful of our property and left the job impeccably clean and neat.

Only the youngest employee came to help who very clearly knew nothing about the appliance we wanted to buy. Walked out and will go anywhere else who have any knowledge about what we wanted and are willing to help. So rude and left feeling completely unvalued and frankly, disrespected. Very sad since we have bought a ton of other appliances from here in the past.
