It all started with Vinnie and Ben's first visit to our home that put us at ease. They wore masks and immediately removed their shoes without me having to ask. They were polite, respectful and professional. From there, they sent us an estimate and answered any additional questions that I had. They assured us that they would do everything needed to protect our furniture and the flooring in our home. A week before moving, a phone call to check in to see if we needed anything more, how the packing was going and a confirmation of the time of the move. Day of the move, we were called once the team left the warehouse. They arrived on time, with the team they needed and the two trucks they estimated would carry our possessions. There was a team leader and another tour of the house to keep everyone on the same page. The guys were great!! Again, everyone wore masks, removed shoes and worked as a team to wrap, yes wrap our furniture in saran and then blankets. The guys were "please", "thank you" and "may I"; very polite, soft spoken and enjoyed comraderie among themselves. Before leaving for the new location, they asked us to check out each room to be sure there was nothing left behind. They kept us in the loop as to what they were going to do step by step. When we got to the new location, it was the same thing. They took a tour of the home, and began placing boxes, furniture, etc... where we had designated. They placed furniture and confirmed it was where we wanted it. There were a couple of changes we made to due the downsized space, and they were great about it. "No problem, we can do that." At the end of the day, we walked through again to be sure that everything was in the spot we wanted. I can't say enough about Trend and our moving process. I had Trend Movers out of Portland, ME. They were scheduled for Aug. 11 from 8-12AM. They did not come or call to cancel. I left 3 messages in the afternoon that were not returned. Finally was told at 4PM they would be coming the next day. I was taking my daughter to airport that day. I never talked to a person to say that date would not work. They came anyway. Today 8/20 -or 9 days from original delivery date the items were delivered. They came in a large truck. They were plainly instructed to stop truck on pavement and not drive truck on grass. They drove 45 ft onto my grass even as I was standing in my yard waving my arms STOP. Driver was Clueless. Once they unloaded the items into my home (I had paid for White Glove Service) it was fine. Co. attempts to have no direct contact with customer. They leave texts of when delivery will be coming. If that does not work as in my case the attitude is "too bad, not my problem." Don't make the same mistake I did. I contracted with Trend Moving to move an antique grandfather clock from NY to coastal NC. Since their site explicitly says they move clocks, I assumed that they would properly package it for moving too. They picked it up in NH and boxed it up for moving but I mistakenly assumed that they would re-pack it for the trip. It arrived in NC with the internal working still in the body of the clock and with gears askew in the mechanism. Also the pendulum had not been removed and now needs to be soldered back together. When I communicated with my contact at Trend Moving, he informed me that they just move the clock as is from when they pick it up. If you use them to move a clock, have it packed by a professional before they pick it up. read more

Trend started out in the wrong foot with us, but they did redeem themselves. They proved that they really did care when I doubted them. We had ordered a Xmas gift for our sons (a pool table) and it was supposed to be delivered on the 12th Of December. There was a lack of communication between Amazon and Trend. I finally got a live person at Trend and I felt like the customer service rep really cared. Well, the delivery still wasn't going to make it to our house in time for Xmas and that was so disappointing because it was the gift we were counting on to enjoy with our sons and friends and family on Xmas Day. After I had a nervous breakdown on the phone with the customer service rep, he showed he really cared. I got the address for the loading bay, drove to the loading dock and they stayed open me for an extra half hour on the day before Christmas Eve. They went out of their way to help me secure the pool table on our truck and then they called me on the way home to make sure I was all set. They said if the table didn't fit in the bed of my truck, they'd get a mover to the storage unit to deliver it after hours. They also said they'd have a mover meet us at our home to help us get the table set up in our house. What started as a terrible experience turned into a very positive experience. They showed they really did care and they took me seriously; it took a near nervous breakdown to get there, but they did show they are human and that they did care that their service was part of making Xmas extra special for our family. I was very anxious and dreading the move but they did a great job. They got there on time but were missing one of the three people who was supposed to show up. To help out, they sent 3 additional people so the job could be completed on time. They did a great job with wrapping up furniture and transferring things without breaking anything. Only issue I had was that I had given instructions to the guys in the morning and that didn't get translated to the guys who stayed to move stuff to the new place. We had just moved into New Hampshire, and found this company on short notice. They charged us $700 for 3 hours of work. The morning of they called and confirmed, but then also told my husband that the 3 hours includes DRIVING time to and from my residence. They then said it took a half an hour to arrive at my house, but provided no office address, so I couldn't check it myself on Maps. You'd think that if they are going to charge me $233.33 to drive to and from my house, that they would disclose that UP FRONT, so I could choose someone closer. I couldn't get rid of them on the morning of, since its impossible to find another company on such short notice, and the HOA where I live was adamant the Pod be removed as quickly as possible. I was caught between a rock and a hard place. They were polite and worked hard for the other 2 hours they were here. I can't help but think that they must have known that I wouldn't go with them if they had told us everything to begin with, which is why they conveniently forgot to mention the driving fees.
