My son and I went in to take a look at their selection and purchased 4-5 pairs between the two of us. I purchased glasses and decided not to get transitional lenses. After a week, I realized I wanted the transitional (my insurance covered it). I called them and informed them of my change and they said no problem, bring them in and they would be happy to add that, which they did. After that experience, I recommended my husband go and look at their selection, which he did and is now a customer. I like this place and have bought several pairs of glasses here. Generally their service is good. Today it was terrible. I ran in to have my glasses tightened. This usually takes 5 min. Not this time. The single employee was busy with a couple, trying on every pair of glasses in the store. The employee was working for a sale and was happy to just have me wait while the couple continued to try on the two hundredth pair of glasses. I tried to stay patient but after 20 min I had to leave. I'm sure the couple are still in the store trying on glasses. Maybe have more employees working on a a busy holiday weekend. read more

They have a variety of designer glasses and sunglasses but the kicker is the service. I am basically blind so I've been visiting the optometrist my whole life and no one has ever taken a glance at my face and knew the perfect glasses for my facial structure. I was helped by a beautiful young lady named Ashley and she is the best at what she does. No exaggeration no one has ever matched me with nice frames and every time I visit the eye doctor I just end up choosing my own frames and 90%of the time I just choose whatever to get it over with because I'm indecisive. Ashley chose 3-4 frames for me and it was life changing. Every selection looked so good! I'm actually excited to wear my glasses somewhere but at home! I usually opt for contacts because my precious glasses never looked nice. This is a great store with a huge selection of reading, as well as designer sunglasses including high end brands which are often hard to find other stores (Chanel, Chrome Hearts, Dita, Oiver Peoples, Tom Ford, etc.), but it was AMY and the excellent customer service we received that makes this place truly worth a visit. The prices are just the same as in every other retail store (buyer beware of knock offs on the internet). The first time I randomly walked in to look around. AMY went above and beyond to help out. I could write an entire page about it... what a kind young woman. After visiting a few other stores for comparison, I returned with my husband and we bought two pairs of sunglasses, got an eye exam and new reading glasses. Got my last pair of glasses here and never been happier. All of the attendants are incredibly knowledgeable about various glasses, lens, brands, etc. and they create an amazing welcoming atmosphere. They go out of their way to help make the best fit for your needs. The location is really cool but parking is a bit of a hassle. Regardless you have lots of options to explore in addition to it. And there are some parking structures nearby. But paid parking only. Recommend some change in case. If you're ever in the market for these places. I've been wearing glasses for about 20 years and never have I been able to get my prescription in a pair of frameless glasses. They were able to have it done and the frames look amazing! Under new management, this eyeware store offers great service and products. I've been buying my eye ware, mostly sunglasses at this store for years now. Most recently, I had to finally break down and purchase a pair of eye glasses for the first time in my life. I had an eye exam and was told I had a stigmatism that needed correction. I had tried avoiding having to wear eyeglasses throughout my life by making sure I don't strain my eyes by reading in the dark and other such disciplines. Realization set in and I finally decided I would explore the world of eyeglass wear to improve my eyesight and came here. Trendy has a nice selection of all the popular name brands as well as some unique ones. The staff person that assisted me named Jessica, was really knowledgeable being that she was a certified optician. Not only was she knowledgeable on eye care but also on the current modes of fashions when it comes to eye ware. We looked at various brands and one of them was Dita which she informed me was not always found everywhere. It is made in Japan and handcrafted she told me just like a Rolls Royce, that is, not with machines but by hand. It had a nice and original look to the styling and I grew fond of the pair I tried on after wearing it a while. I finally settled on the Dita pair of glasses which reminded me of Malcom X's eyeglasses he wore in the 60s. I have since received a great compliments from people I encounter around town. If you are in need of a pair of sunglasses, frames or prescription eyeware, consider Trendy because they certainly can take care of your needs. I came in to try on a pair of Ray Bans that I had seen online. Their price ($149) was higher than the price I had seen online ($129) and I asked the salesperson if she would match the online price. She tried to remain professional but was clearly very annoyed by the question and told me I would not be buying from an authorized Ray Ban dealer and that I would receive a shoddy replica. She insisted that Ray Ban sets an MSRP that all their retailers obey and asked repeatedly that I tell her the name of this website that was selling Ray Bans for less. The name of the website? Went here for a quick service on my way to dinner. My sunglasses' nose pads were a bit pushed in, and I saw this store omw to the restaurant, so I requested their help to make it alright again. They were very friendly in taking a look at it and making it sit right on my face, even though I hadn't purchased from them. However, I dock a star because I've never had to pay for this kind of service. Anytime I popped in an eye wear store, they were cool with fixing things up at no charge--I figure to build good potential customer relations. But here they charge $10 for it. One visit my glasses were a bit off and floor assistant noticed and took them and work on them till the the alignment and fitment was perfect. We walked in to check out some frames and see what they had. Wow... what a selection. If you are familiar w/ sunglass brands, they carry Dita, Salt, Oliver Peoples, Thom Browne, Barton Perreira, Tom Ford, Gucci, Ray Ban, Oakley, surf brands, etc, etc! They seriously carry every brand, which is very impressive. After talking to Amy and Ricardo, I come to find out they have an in house Doctor and do exams. They also take VSP and other insurances! The staff was amazing as well. They were extremely helpful and patient, and helped me find a pair of fashionable glasses. My wife also got some glasses too, along w/ her sister. I just went in a couple weeks ago to have some Maui Jim lenses replaced... again! (as I said in my previous review, I drop my glasses a lot). They had the same pair of glasses still in stock, so they swapped out the lenses while I waited, and then ordered a new set for their in stock pair, so I wouldn't have to wait for shipping. Great shop. I love this place. Also, I bought another pair while I was there. Seems I can't go in there without finding something cool to buy. Thanks guys. This review is for the optician, Dia Noor. I few weeks ago I went here to pick up some glasses that was put on hold for me by another rep. When I went to go pick them up, the person that had helped me before apparently did not do everything they were suppose to do and it might have required me to come back on another day to pick them up. I was obviously upset as I had taken time off work to go in and pick them up. Long story short, Dia stayed after hours to work things through with me and I was able to leave the same day with my glasses. She single-handedly salvaged my initial negative experience :). This will be my 2nd review ever, which goes to show how impressed I am with them to write about it. While, their whole team is great and very professional, I have to give a special shout out to Amy. She always goes above and beyond to help you. Last year, she was able to secure a discontinued frame for me that I wanted. This year, she was able to get me a pair of frames in a week that I was told would take months to get from the manufacturer. They did a very good job on repairing my $500 sunglasses. The arms were bent and the guards around the stem of the arms were all ripped in addition to one of my lenses falling out. I figured I'd bring it in to get a quote and the lady that helped me noticed that the screw to my lens that had fallen was still there. Took 15 minutes and only cost $16 and change. My sunglasses are like new again and I was ready to throw them in the garbage. !! read more

Outstanding customer service! I went in looking for optical glasses and their staff immediately welcomed me to their store and opened their display cases. I came back the next day with my prescription and ordered a pair of Tom Ford glasses. The glasses were ready in a week. After I picked up the glasses I received a phone call from the store asking me how I liked the new glasses and if I needed any adjustments. A few days later I received a thank you card in the mail. Customer service goes a long way, and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Only complaint would be parking, but that's downtown Manhattan Beach for ya. read more
