I was looking for a optometry place that had the most brand name selection of glasses. I went on their website and really thought I'd found a good place. I initially contacted them through their website to make and appointment and I never got a reply back. Then I made an appointment through the phone which took way longer than it should have. I was on the phone for 30 minutes to make an appointment. Finally got to my appointment, I did like the doctor, exam was quick easy and thorough, no upsellling. Choosing frames was disappointing. They did not have a lot of choices for brand names. So I picked whatever was available. They said it would take two weeks to get the lenses. Okay that's a long time but what could I do. I waited and waited. No phone calls. I had to call them to get any updates on the glasses. Two weeks became 3 it got pushed back and pushed back. When I called to voice my frustration and asked for a refund they didn't offer any solutions or anything to make me feel better about my experience. When I picked them up I thought they'd d offer to help adjust them for my face and I asked. The clerk replied, "well do they fall of your face?" I was taken aback and at this point didn't even trust them to adjust. The ride home in the car with the glasses was so uncomfortable. They're crooked, too long, and need bending to my face. But I never wanna return I'll find someplace more trustworthy! read more

Probably the best experience I've ever had getting prescription glasses. Usually when I look for glasses I have a hard time finding a style that suits me but when I went to trendy eyes just to browse around Marc was able to find me several pairs that really complimented my face. I was so in love with the ones he suggested I returned the very next day to purchase two different pairs! Delivery of the glasses took about 2 weeks as they told me and they were able to assist with minor tweaks to the lenses. Unfortunately, a couple months later I ended up accidentally sitting on one pair of my glasses. However, I took them in that morning and Harold was very kind and able to help fix them to nearly their original state, despite the bend in the glasses being in a fragile part of the frames. They ordered them no problem and didn't even make feel obligated to buy them if I didn't like them. By far the worse experience I've had. I'm a past customer who has already bought 500$ frames from this location. I came in today for an eye exam and to purchase Chanel frames that I already had on hold. I also wanted to purchase Tom ford frame but the Indian/Hispanic representative wanted to help everyone else except me even though I was there first. After she showed them glasses out of every single shelf the customers walked out buying nothing. When I asked to see a frame she acted like I was going to steal them. I went ahead and cancelled my 4:30pm eye exam appointment (which the doctor was late). I refuse to donate money to people who don't show customers any sign of respect. I wish I never recommended this place to all my coworkers and friends in the past. It's really a shame since they carry a great selections of frame. read more

Went to Trendy Optometry today (mother's day). i was advised to come here by Maui Jim directly for their variety and selection not to mention the customer service. they had the most assortment compared to other places. I want to take the time to acknowledge "James" who is a veteran Optician who knows his stuff! better than any "Sale Person" who doesn't know the in's and out's of the optometry world.. James is a 21 year veteran of Kaiser, i was informed of so many details to help me find the proper pair of frames best suited for me. Don't go in! These people are terrible. I came in specifically looking for sunglasses with rose gold frames. The salesman pulled out several that had rose gold frames and after trying them on, I bought a pair with cash. Within an hour I returned them because as it turned out, when I went to put them on, they were not rose gold frames - just yellow gold. I showed him that they weren't rose gold. He couldn't have cared less and wouldn't refund my money. Even though they take same day returns, he refused to refund the money and was super rude about it. He knew I had wanted rose gold specifically, and I returned them so quickly that it was totally unreasonable not to give me a refund. If I had paid with a credit card he would have had to. I would expect a more customer friendly response. read more

Not only did the technician help me choose the perfect frames, he also let me bring in my old glasses and sunglasses for readjusting. Greedy and Rip Off! The owner tries to sell whatever he has on hand, pushing it at the highest possible price he can gouge you. Customer service is unheard of and every time you will get a different price / salesperson to talk to. I plucked down more than $600 for glasses (which I should have picked up at around $300 elsewhere) and even after that, when I went there asking if he could give me a lens case for free, he wanted to gouge me for another $25. No receipts are given either. No warranty cards, no paper work! He just wants your money and that is it! Very horrible experience! Buyer beware! read more

Great customer service received after the sale was performed about a year ago. Jeremy was nice enough to take my information down and look up my receipt. She called me back within the next 10 minutes advising me that the receipt was found. She immediately emailed the receipt to me so warranty repairs can be performed she saved me $340 in Repaires. I'm SO thankful I came here instead of Costco! I've been going to Costco religiously since I was 11 years old, I'm almost 29 now. I was walking down in manhattan and saw this store, they have the most AMAZING high end selections of sunglasses and eyeglasses. I made my appointment for my contact prescription and thank god I did. When I wore my contacts from Costco after 10 hours I would suffer from the WORST dry eyes. I thought maybe my eyes are officially worn out from wearing contacts for 17 years, but that's not the case! When they gave me a sample of their hydrogel silicone contacts I was able to wear them for 12 hours + with out any dryness! This saved my life because I don't have the guts or time to get eye lasik (spell check?) right now. I can't get over how amazing this place is. I used to live around the corner and casually strolled in one day. Putting my guard up, not wanting to be "sold" by a salesman, I was very insistent that I was not interested in buying anything but just browsing with a friend. The extremely helpful staff still showed me a few pairs of glasses, let me try on whatever I wanted, and once the salesperson saw the style I was into, he pulled out a pair of Prada sunglasses that turned out to be my favorite sunglasses ever. They fit my face perfectly and were just the style I wanted. Fast forward to four years later, I decided to stop in last week and have those same Prada glasses serviced and adjusted to sit straight on my head. Curiosity struck me again as I tried on a couple of pairs of other sunglasses. And again, Harold worked magic and pulled out a pair that not only had every element of style I was looking for, but fit my face perfectly. It was as if they were designed just for me. It's so rare to run into such custom tailored service now a days, where everybody just prefers to shop online. Harold and their store reminded me of the value of a brick and mortar location and how far customer service can go. And not only that, but they are true professionals and give you recommendations based on your tastes and face/head shape. I hope this place stays in business forever!! From the moment we walked in, Marcus couldn't be nicer to us, all smiles, friendly and extremely courteous. I didn't intend on buying anything at first because a lot of sunglass shops I've visited lately don't have much of a variety or any at all of large round aviators ~60mm. But after talking to Marcus, he knew exactly what I was looking for and introduced me to the Salt brand. I'd never heard of it and am far from materialistic or care much for brands. The couple of pairs he showed me were gorgeous and fit and felt great! He seemed totally honest in helping de use which looked best on me and didn't come off as one of those typical sales people just trying to make a sale. He made us feel like he genuinely cares about the customer, gave us all his attention, and great feedback and knowledge about various types of glasses. I couldn't walk out without buying a pair and am very, very happy with my new sunglasses. Customer service goes out the window when you give them your money. The disrespect I received today was amazing . I got a voicemail stating my glasses were ready today, okay great! I was at work so I was just going to head on over right after. I get there I get asked the standard how can I help you? I let them know I received a voicemail stating my glasses were ready. He asked for my name I told him. He starts looking all over and he can't find them. He says was it at this location you got a call from ? Like I didn't go anywhere else with my money so why ask such an irrelevant question . He then asks to listen to the voicemail as if I was lying about the call. He then looks at the woman and says oh it was so and so who called and she just goes "oh its at our other location". Which I didn't understand since I did not go to the other location to get my eyes checked, then proceeds to say oh I can have them here on Monday. I was already there ! As if I want to return! I completely wasted my time and she didn't even offer to help in any way since I was in the office ALREADY! With no emotion saying " I hope you didn't have to make a long commute" and didn't even look at me when she said it as she was focused on the person who was there because I'm sure she wanted to make another sell like she did with me. . I said Nothing else I just walked out in disbelief at the way they handled the situation. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I'm so upset that I even came here and spent my money, they're so nice to you when they make a sell. There was no compensation for wasting MY time ! Why wouldn't it be stated that they will send your glasses to be picked up elsewhere! Ridiculous never again will I be back after I pick up my glasses. A complete waste of time ! Now I have to wait until Monday! I've already waited a week, next time I will go to lens crafters They will have them ready then and there ! What a horrible experience. I will not step foot in this business again. Not only are they rude, but downright mean. A seriously shady business. After purchasing a pair of Prada sunglasses, which was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had in a store, I brought them in later for an adjustment to the feet. When I returned to pick them up they were scratched severely on the inside, right where the feet are adjusted. The older salesman was completely rude, at first denying any wrongdoing, then had the audacity to say he would give me a good deal on replacing the lenses. Stay far, far away from these guys. I had a problem with my sunglasses (Persols) not fitting correctly, and was able to ship them back the store and they had them fixed up very quickly. They even wrote me a hand written note back.
