It's high-end, which I barely touch due to pricing, but it does not hurt to try something new. Let's see how the evening went. After our entire party arrived, we were all promptly seated. Inside, the decor is perfect. From the bar to the dining area, everything was spotless. You can tell the staff really cares about keeping the place tidy. And they had New Orleans-style music playing through the sound system. Very relaxing. After looking through the menu, I was ready to place my order. I chose their fish special, which was salmon with veggies and a sauce (forgot the name). This dish was very good. It was probably the best cooked salmon I've ever had. When you see seafood with the perfect crust and a lot of flavor, you're in heaven. It did have a small bone and I felt it lacked the amount of squash and zucchini, but again, a wonderful meal. There was one situation which resulted in only a 4-star review. Out of curiousity, I saw on Facebook that they offered $5 discounts. I did let my party know and we were all ready to use them when the bill was ready. But the staff told us the discount was to be used on a table rather than an individual ticket. When we looked both on Facebook and our personal emails, none of that verbage was mentioned. Not trying to sound harsh, but please be sure to state every detail foe customers. I ordered the 10 ounce ground steak with gravy, onions, and mushrooms, baked potato, and broccoli. Everything was cooked to perfection! The ground steak was tender, the gravy delicious, and the onions and mushrooms were yummy. The huge baked potato was perfectly cooked and they provided tons of butter and sour cream. The fresh broccoli was in a large container, tender, and not overcooked. There was even a nice soft roll. My son ordered the Delmonico steak, prepared, fairly rare, a big fat, baked potato, fresh broccoli, and roll. He thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Everything we received was packaged beautifully and nice and hot. The prices were very reasonable and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you, Josh's for a great dinner. We'll be back!

I was told that if I were to leave the stroller in the car and hold/carry her, it would be a 50 minute wait for "two." I opted to go online and make a "reservation" for two and I would put the stroller in the car and hold my daughter for a reservation time of 1:00 pm (only a 30 minute wait). Why do I need to go online while standing in the restaurant to make a quicker "reservation" when I'm standing right in front of the hostess? When checking in for the 1:00 pm reservation, the hostess asked if I was going to hold my daughter or if I wanted a high chair for her. This made no sense as the entire point of me holding her was because I needed a "table for 2." If I was going to be offered a high chair for a baby that can't even sit up yet, I should've been able to keep her asleep in the stroller and still been a table for 2. How is a high chair at that point not considered a third? Her stroller wouldn't have taken up any more room. The whole experience was absurd, made absolutely no sense and was off putting. There has to be better processes in place. Adding that it is 96 degrees outside, so going back and forth with an infant was absolutely ridiculous.

Sadly, have noticed a steadily progressing deterioration in both food and service. I can live with menu changes...all restaurants do it eventually. But after the last change, the food is steadily gone downhill. Greasy, unappetizing bad presentation, etc. This last weekend's visit will be my last. I understand it was busy because of a concert, but to sit at a table and have a waitress come by three times and tell us "I need more time" while serving other tables that came in and were seated after us is unacceptable. I know this because we changed tables to get a better seat and watched as the former table was served water, beer, and food orders. Ended up totally ignoring her and going to the bar to get food and drinks. Had an issue with a beer that was supposed to be a refill and was apparently filled from the wrong tap. Bartender would not acknowledge the error and I ended up just walking out never to come back again. You've lost a former good customer.

It was mostly bread with very little topping, and it did not resemble what I expected based on the description. What made the experience even more disappointing was seeing another customer receive a beautiful pizza that looked properly prepared. The difference in quality was striking. Because the pizza I received was so poorly made, I asked not to be charged for it. I don't enjoy complaining, but I felt this situation warranted it. On the menu, the kids meal says it comes with a drink. My daughter ordered a kids meal with a drink, but when I received the check, I noticed I was charged separately for the drink. I called the manager over and explained the issue. She told me that if the child is over 12, the drink is not included. I explained that nowhere on the menu does it say that. She grabbed a menu to show me, but after looking, there was still no wording explaining that policy. She then said, "We still have the right to charge you. It's not written, but this is our policy." I didn't like the answer, but I paid the bill and still tipped the waiter because this wasn't about the server. My issue was with how the situation was handled. I believe the menu should clearly reflect that policy, or the restaurant should honor what is written on the menu. Good customer service is about communication and transparency. This post is not to tell people not to go to Mezcal, because the food is still good, but I do hope the customer service improves and that customers are informed ahead of time when extra charges may apply.
