I have been to Milk & Honey several times in different cities. My current review is on the newest one in Hampton, Va. near Hampton University. While we've been to the restaurant about three times to date, each visit was such a treat! The dishes were all well-prepared with taste and care, as well as their lovely presentation, having been put into each dish. My one concern was that their prices were a bit on the high end, but once you taste their finished products, you will see why. Their welcoming servers, and the overall ambiance, makes it well worth it. We will return!

Milk and honey was by far one of my favorite visits/brunches while in the Hampton area! Stopped in for a quick Saturday brunch with friends! We were immediately sat and given menus! They had very nice indoor and outdoor sitting! I had the traditional breakfast and it was perfect! The eggs were cooked well, the bacon great and so were the potatoes. My favorite was the homemade biscuit and peach jam! SO AMAZING! My friends had the chicken and waffles and the smothered chicken biscuits and they both really enjoyed their meals as well

Me and my homegirl went for breakfast. Our waitress Shawna was very nice. She went over the menu and the specials. We split the Fried green tomatoes and the biscuits for the appetizers. My homegirl ordered the traditional breakfast (which was on the seasonal menu) and I ordered the The Wharf Scramble. The fried green tomatoes were good however, you only get 2 for $15. It's buried underneath a spinach salad. The flavors were good, just not for $15. The biscuits were delicious. It came with a peach jam and a sweet potato crumble butter. Both were delicious. We both enjoyed our entrees. The restaurant itself is a bit small. Intimate even. But the music was great and vibe of the place was very nice. I would definitely go back to try their dinner menu.

Really enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and I thought the food was quite tasty with really good flavor. Enjoyed some time with family here visiting the area and it was a great spot for it.

We really did enjoy our time here but the prices are higher than they should be for some things. 14$ for a little mimosa? Make it make sense lol.We got two patron towers and it looked nice but they were extremely sweet. The food was pretty good. I got the crispy salmon and cheese hash. The hash has some heat but lacks salt. The cream sauce didn't have much flavor. Compared to the one time I went to Milk and Honey on H street in Dc, the cream sauce was very flavorful. The quality of the food was good. It was fresh. The cheese grits and cheese eggs were perfect. I did not like the maple Caesar salad, but my wife did. In my opinion it was too sweet and the only thing about it that was caesar was the Parmesan cheese. They will allow you to substitute your protein with the fish dishes. It's small restaurant, so make a reservation ahead of time. It's definitely worth trying. It's a place that you go to one time and you know what you might do differently the next time you come.

DB, our server was top tier. Such a gentleman and so nice and knowledgeable. This restaurant is stunning. So cozy, so bright and with dope art on the walls. Great music was playing and we had a great time. My salmon club was delicious. I also loved the peach cobbler empanada looking dessert. I cant wait to come back and try this location again.

Located across from Hampton University, the restaurant is located in a strip mall. The inside is small and not that intimate. the floors were slippery. The service was mediocre. The food was not that tantalizing. The wings lacked flavor and were overcooked. The cheesy eggs were not good. The cheesy hash browns were okay. The waffles were the best thing going, they were tasty.

I ended up going to the Milk & Honey restaurant in Springfield, Virginia, and they told me they just opened one here in Hampton. After trying the fried green tomato appetizer up there, I had to come see if it was just as good here. It's good here in Hampton, but the tomatoes in Springfield were a lot thicker -- either way, both had great flavor. This time I got the catfish sandwich with tater tots, a Milk & Honey latte, and the handheld peach cobbler pie. Everything came to about $53, not including the tip. Now, I'll be honest -- it's a pretty expensive restaurant, but it's worth going at least once just to try it out. I was surprised by some of the side prices: the mac and cheese was $11, the candied yams were around $8, the fried green tomato appetizer was about $15, and the shrimp and grits were close to $25. Still, I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, my waiter was great, and the place was immaculate. I'll definitely be back. I wish them well!.

I ordered delivery. The shrimp and grits are NOT worth $29.00 and contrary to the name, they are far from award winning. The grits didn't have a hint of cheese. And somehow, the dish was salty and underseasoned at the same time (bland grits with salty shrimp). I was trying to treat myself for Mother's Day weekend. I failed..... nice presentaron though

The food came out looking completely different then online. My biscoff chicken and waffles came out with no drizzle and no cookie crumbles just a cookie and syrup nothing about it gave biscoff expect the cookie on the side. The chicken had no flavor besides fried .

First off, we went on a Sunday morning at 8 AM and it was empty! We made a reservation for 830 but they were able to seat us early. The menu was excellent! So many choices for all different flavors and tastes, and there's a kids menu! The food was great, but you know what made the whole visit the best? Our server. She was amazing. The vibe was cool and fun and fresh, and my kid was jammin to the music and I can't say I blame her! The cocktail menu looked divine so I'll have to come back with some friends to check that out. Good food, huge portions, great service, and awesome vibes, we will absolutely be back!

Naomi was AMAZING! She was so attentive, gave GREAT recommendations, and took amazing care of us. The biscoff espresso martini is DELICIOUS, and the Biscoff waffle is so good too! We also had the fried deviled eggs and immediately yes. I'll def be back!

I started with the buffalo chicken mozzarella sticks, but they weren't for me so I sent them back. I ended up getting the blackened chicken flatbread, which was actually really good and full of flavor. A few others in my group had mixed experiences too--my cousin ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and didn't like them, and my daughter tried the crab cake appetizer. She said the flavor was great, but the texture was too mushy inside. My sister, on the other hand, enjoyed her shrimp appetizer and said the mac and cheese egg rolls were just okay. One thing we all agreed on--the drinks were AMAZING. Definitely strong and well-made, they did not disappoint at all. The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice, especially being in the Oyster Point area. It's a great spot to hang out on a Saturday night. Not sure if I'd rush back, but it was a decent experience.

We started with drinks and ordered a mimosa flight (around $36) with four different flavors--mango, passion fruit, and a couple lemon-based ones. My friend also got a lavender mimosa. Individual mimosas were about $12 each, which is a little pricey but pretty typical for brunch. For food, we tried several items. The shrimp and grits were good, but not the best I've had. The bell peppers were cut pretty large, which I didn't love, but overall it was good. We also ordered the Biscoff pancakes. The flavor was fine, but the texture was not it. They looked thin but were actually really dense and thick. We prefer lighter, fluffier pancakes, so these were a miss. Honestly, you kind of needed something like milk to get through them because they were that heavy. The Nana's Chicken plate was good, solid, no complaints. It was almost like a sampler platter which I enjoyed. The turkey sausage was also good. The deviled eggs, though, were very underwhelming. They honestly just tasted like plain eggs nothing special. The highlight of the meal was definitely the short rib bruschetta. It was delicious and easily the best thing we had. My only note would be that there were a lot of tomatoes I would've preferred a little less, but overall it was really, really good. Service was fine. Our waitress was nice, but nothing stood out, it was standard service. The atmosphere was also nice. We sat at a high-top table; the space looks a little small, but there's actually enough room to move around. It wasn't too loud or too quiet and the food presentation was nice as well. One thing to note is that the menu seems to change. My friends had been here about seven months ago and said the previous menu was amazing, everything they had before was delicious. This time around, though, it just wasn't giving the same experience. If this had been their first visit, they probably wouldn't have come back. Overall, I'd say Sate was just okay this time around. A decent brunch though. I'd probably wait until they update their menu and maybe give it another try, since it seems like they've done better in the past.

If they had they would have heard about missing beer menus, dirty/greasy salt grinders, dead flies littering the window sills next to the tables, slow and disinterested service and a seeming lack of interest of the staff in anything but chatting with each other. County Grill in Yorktown has always been one of our go-to restaurants but unfortunately is fell very short today. We got in early, before the afternoon rush, around 3:45 pm. We were seated quickly in a booth along the front windows and our waitress came over and got us started with cornbread muffins and took our drink order. I did ask for the paper beer list that they always have due to their extensive taps but none were available, a first for me. Neither our waitress or the hostess could explain why they didn't have the normal beer list. I ordered a beer and when asked if I also wanted water like my wife, I said yes. My wife's water showed up almost immediately, mine must have been forgotten but thankfully my beer showed up a short time later. We ordered our dinner, a brisket platter with coleslaw and baked beans and my wife ordered pulled pork. We were one of only two tables in the entire main dining room when we ordered and throughout our meal but waited a surprisingly long time for our food to arrive. When it did arrive, the food looked, smelled and tasted great. The brisket I received was from the tail end of the brisket and was very thin compared to slices from the other end of the brisket I've usually received. I still received the same exact number of smaller slices I usually receive from the bigger end. Not all brisket slices are created equal and today's fell short. My wife used the salt grinder on the table and it was dirty and greasy to the point she had to excuse herself to go wash her hands. While she was gone I noticed the collection of dead flies on the window sill along our booth. Things were just dirty, makes you wonder about cleanliness in areas you can't see as a customer. Although there were a lot of staff in the kitchen and in front of the kitchen none seemed interested in anything but chatting with each other. The exception to that would be our waitress who was very interested in talking to the one other occupied table in the dining room. We had finished dinner and were waiting to pay our bill and get a to-go box for some of the coleslaw. Our waitress was deeply involved in a conversation with the other table and we waited an extended period of time. The multitude of other servers in front of the kitchen had no interest in breaking free to see if we needed anything. Finally our waitress made it back over to our table with the electronic payment machine out, handed it off to me and headed off to find a to-go container, even that seemed to take longer than it should have. Maybe Q-Daddy's is worth a try, maybe they still care and want to prove they want your business and not just ride on prior reputation.

The heat level was just right -- enough to notice, but still easy to enjoy without reaching for water every second. You could tell they were made fresh, not sitting around.
