Time to update my review! I've been a fan of 3LC for years and I love stopping by when I'm in the area. On my recent visit, I encountered two cats roaming around on the patio which was a lovely sight. Love how much seating is available, both inside and outside. I usually order a hot coffee but as the weather began warming up, I wanted something cool and non-caffeinated. I checked their menu and saw they had a horchata fresa (strawberry) so I ordered an iced OG (medium) with less ice. My lovely companion treated me which was generous and it made my drink even sweeter. I liked my drink - reminded me of strawberry milk which I'm not a big fan of but I'm glad I tried it and the horchata flavor was delicious. I would be interested in a horchata coffee blend so I'll have to inquire about that on my next visit. I spotted a Palestinian flag as part of their decoration which I adore, and on a previous visit they had a Free Palestine banner displayed outside, solidarity. Their rewards program is solid so make sure to sign up!

Came here with really high hopes due to other reviews. It wasn't bad but for the price I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go there. I thought the drinks were very sweet. They have a small area with bread; not sure if they are made daily because ours were kind of dry. I wasn't impressed. Their parking lot is very small but there is a big empty lot across the street where you can park.

This place is so cute! The place was easy to find and the drinks we got were so good! Wish there was a location closer to where I lived but it was worth the drive to try this place. Definitely will be back again. Side note: wish there was a sign out front directing us to where the parking lot was as it was hard to find. We had to park on the street which is fine.

Stopped by before going back to LA. I was impressed with the set up. Lots of room and places to sit. Indoor or outdoor seating available. You can pretty much choose what bread you will enjoy with your coffee. They have trays so you can get multiple pieces. We tried the hot churro latte. It was good. And the bread was tasty. Service was good. They had our order ready in a few minutes. They had good music playing in the background. Definitely a place you should check out if you are in phoenix.

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago! I had to rush there before closing because I've been wanting to try it. I had to horchata something coffee drink, it was so yummy!! Along with my concha!! The guy that helped was very nice. I didn't stay cause I know what it feels like to wait on ONE customer to go home, and I needed to get to work. I work nights. The only reason I gave 4stars is because the hours on the website are different than what they are doing and it kinda ruined my night for me. I did walk around the cafe before I left and I loved it!! I just wish the locations and times would be better for me since I'm in mesa. I would visit more often.

I first visited this coffee shop years ago, when it was just a small stand in midtown. I've been following them on IG, but this is the first time I've been able to come to the downtown location and so happy I did. The vibe is amazing, colorful and high energy. Service was super friendly and quick. I had the flan de leche latte and it was delicious! The pan is amazing. Love the coffee. Love the vibe. This is a must try in Phoenix

I've been frequenting this spot for a few years now, and it's so delicious every time. The drinks are top notch and then pan dulce is fresh made. Upon entry, you're immediately greeted with colorful Mexican decor throughout the entire space. I absolutely love the mini clay kitchen sets that I once played with as a child, it definitely took me be back in time seeing those displayed. Many cute corners and displays perfect for those insta worthy pics. I usually get same thing every time- Tres Mexicanos which is made with chocolatè Abuelita. Excellent quality, taste and very reasonable prices & amazing service every time. 100% worth going out of your way for this place.

This place is soooo cute!! Inside and out. The conchas are fresh and they even have crema filled ones. The coffees have several delicious traditional inspired Mexican options such as house made sauces with crema, horchata as a milk option and homemade Abuelita sauce. The service is a little bit slower but they really take the time to craft each drink which is worth the few extra minutes of waiting. So so good!

Not a coffee drinker but the horchata espresso is fire. The conchas are delicious and colorful, great service, beautiful decor and ambiance. Great place

So glad I was able to try this coffee shop! I parked in the back of restaurant. There's a small lot but it's unpaved. You can enter from the back entrance as well. I ordered a tres leches latte and Aztec mocha. The Aztec Mocha was sooooooo good. I also really like the tres leches and will definitely be back.

I saw this place the first time on a instagram stream and looked inviting and fun. My 3rd time here and brought my daughter visiting from school and she said the vibe is is awesome and amazing. The staff here is super friendly and the staff keeps it clean and fresh always. The space represents the heritage and culture in such a warm and inviting manner. Family and small business owners deserve your patronage when they contribute in such a positive manner to our communities over the corporate Starbucks and Dunkin donut franchises in my opinion. I wish only the greatest success for people like this that set a high standard for representation of their culture and heritage

This place is amazing. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The place had a line but the workers were efficient and got everyone's order in a timely manner. We ordered the strawberry horchata and a vanilla ice coffee. Both were delicious and had that homemade flavor to it. You know the workers prepped the day before or even early morning to perfect such a taste. Overall, great experience. We'll be back again to try other flavors and I recommend you do the same.

Love this beautiful bakery and coffee shop! It's colorful and vibrant, with awesome decor and definite Mexican flair. The staff was very friendly and patient with me and my friend as we were trying to decipher the drink menu (so many options!) The baked goods are fresh. I had a dulce de leche empanada and it was very tasty. There is a small private parking lot connected to the shop at the back, which is convenient because sadly the shop isn't in the best part of town - but you will not feel unsafe at all in the parking lot or inside the shop. Ample seating options, both inside and outside. The drinks tend to be on the sweet side (at least the ones we ordered, were), which is not unusual for Mexican drinks but just be aware. The staff can help you figure it out if you want something less sweet. All in all, would definitely recommend this spot!

How much is their pan dulce?

It varies on the pan you pick. Donchas are 2.99 each. Chocolate mazapán polvorone is 2.75 each and the regular polvorone is 1.85 each. M&M cookie is 1.95 each

Can't wait to try. I saw there were vegan options. What are they?

I saw vegan decaf coffee in the menu

I know they moved locations but did they change their schedule?

I don't believe they will be changing their schedule once they open the new location. If anything, they'd be open MORE hours than anything else.

Is this a good place to study?

Yes, at the new location there is plenty of space & different sitting rooms. Plus, there's a patio area.

For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

There was mainly only paid street parking options, but it wasn't hard to find any right in front of the shop. I got two drinks: Más and Abeja, to try their matcha and coffee, and really thoroughly enjoyed both. The matcha is a little bit on the milkier side, but I did enjoy that it was completely unsweetened, and leaned on the vanilla cold foam for a light sweetness. I think I enjoyed the coffee more personally, as the honey paired super well with the espresso and oat milk. The espresso is very good. Absolute Perfection! Hands Down the Best Coffee in Arizona!…read more My husband and I are avid flavored latte lovers, and wherever we travel, we make it our personal mission to hunt down the absolute best lattes in the area. Now that we live here, we dedicate one day a week to exploring a brand-new local coffee shop. We've been living in Arizona for 7 years now, and after visiting The Coffee Builders in Phoenix this week, my only question is: Where has this place been all our lives?! This incredible hidden gem is tucked away in the Warehouse District and is a bit out of sight--you'd likely never just stumble across it unless you were explicitly looking for it. But the moment you walk through the doors, you are transported. The architectural design is completely unexpected, modern, and striking--especially the gorgeous, geometric upside-down wooden pyramids stretching across the ceiling. It creates an upscale, unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Now for the main event: the drinks and food. I ordered the Orange Blossom Latte and my husband ordered The Slopes. Both drinks were absolutely outstanding. They were rich, velvety, thick, and incredibly creamy with deep, distinct flavor profiles. Best of all, they weren't overly sugary--which is huge for us since we typically prefer our coffee at half-sweetness. To pair with our drinks, we tried the Blueberry Bourbon Maple Pastry. It was phenomenal: flaky on the outside, light and pillowy-creamy on the inside, beautifully balanced, and generously loaded with fresh blueberries. The staff was highly professional, exceptionally welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about their shop and everything on the menu. From this day forward, The Coffee Builders is officially our #1 favorite coffee shop in AZ. Do yourself a favor, make this a top priority on your bucket list, and treat yourself--you will not be disappointed!
