Stopped in for some pastries to take into work. I saw only one staff member who making a coffee and was engaged in a conversation with the customer. There were no other customers. I had never been there before so I kind of fumbled around because it was self-serve for the pastries. I eventually figured it out and while there was a large display there was very little variety. So I picked a total of 4; 2 cookies and 2 concha and was shocked to find the total was $16. Yikes! Way overpriced for what I got! I would not go back for the pastry. read more

I had a free birthday drink so I figured let's go! There's a small parking lot in the back of the coffee shop. I went earlier so I got a space but I imagine you may need to find other parking if you go later. The place is quite big! There's three "rooms" with various seating arrangements. There's maybe one or two outlets so it's not really a place to go and do work on a laptop. I got the largest size of the churro latte, half decaf with oat milk! Dang, this was good. Definitely sugary, I don't want to know the nutrition facts. But it gave me three days worth of coffee. Super cinnamony and "velvety" and yum! Great spot!!! We stopped in late in the afternoon (happy hour) and picked up a flan coffee and a prickly pear mango agua. It was perfect. My husband whom loves coffee said this coffee surpasses anything he's had. The bread which my dad ordered was a bit on the pricier side considering what we are accustomed at a traditional panaderia, however once you taste it, it makes sense. The bread is very soft and flavorful. Even the filling you can tell is a higher quality than other regular panaderias. Would totally recommend to try. Will try to return before going back home. Time to update my review! I've been a fan of 3LC for years and I love stopping by when I'm in the area. On my recent visit, I encountered two cats roaming around on the patio which was a lovely sight. Love how much seating is available, both inside and outside. I usually order a hot coffee but as the weather began warming up, I wanted something cool and non-caffeinated. I checked their menu and saw they had a horchata fresa (strawberry) so I ordered an iced OG (medium) with less ice. My lovely companion treated me which was generous and it made my drink even sweeter. I liked my drink - reminded me of strawberry milk which I'm not a big fan of but I'm glad I tried it and the horchata flavor was delicious. I would be interested in a horchata coffee blend so I'll have to inquire about that on my next visit. I spotted a Palestinian flag as part of their decoration which I adore, and on a previous visit they had a Free Palestine banner displayed outside, solidarity. Stopped by before going back to LA. I was impressed with the set up. Lots of room and places to sit. Indoor or outdoor seating available. You can pretty much choose what bread you will enjoy with your coffee. They have trays so you can get multiple pieces. We tried the hot churro latte. It was good. And the bread was tasty. Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago! I had to rush there before closing because I've been wanting to try it. I had to horchata something coffee drink, it was so yummy!! Along with my concha!! The guy that helped was very nice. I didn't stay cause I know what it feels like to wait on ONE customer to go home, and I needed to get to work. I work nights. The only reason I gave 4stars is because the hours on the website are different than what they are doing and it kinda ruined my night for me. I did walk around the cafe before I left and I loved it!! I've been frequenting this spot for a few years now, and it's so delicious every time. The drinks are top notch and then pan dulce is fresh made. Upon entry, you're immediately greeted with colorful Mexican decor throughout the entire space. Note that there is parking in the back, along with the main entrance. If you try to enter from the front (off the road), they have to sometimes buzz you in since the door is locked. I love the different coffees and sweets offered here. The colors and art inside immediately lifts your spirits. I appreciate that there are a few sugar free and vegan options too. So far, I haven't gotten a coffee that I didn't like. One note and reason for the lower star: I would really appreciate pricing on the baked goods. I didn't see any prices listed on the menu or the case, so that made it difficult for me to stay within my budget. The coffees have several delicious traditional inspired Mexican options such as house made sauces with crema, horchata as a milk option and homemade Abuelita sauce. This place is amazing. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The place had a line but the workers were efficient and got everyone's order in a timely manner. We ordered the strawberry horchata and a vanilla ice coffee. Both were delicious and had that homemade flavor to it. You know the workers prepped the day before or even early morning to perfect such a taste. Overall, great experience. Love this beautiful bakery and coffee shop! It's colorful and vibrant, with awesome decor and definite Mexican flair. The staff was very friendly and patient with me and my friend as we were trying to decipher the drink menu (so many options!) The baked goods are fresh. I had a dulce de leche empanada and it was very tasty. There is a small private parking lot connected to the shop at the back, which is convenient because sadly the shop isn't in the best part of town - but you will not feel unsafe at all in the parking lot or inside the shop. Ample seating options, both inside and outside. The drinks tend to be on the sweet side (at least the ones we ordered, were), which is not unusual for Mexican drinks but just be aware. Now I've been here about three different times.... That must mean something! First of all, I can not believe how many different items on this menu have tasted amazing every time I have gone. Now keel in mind, lots of the items run very sweet, so if you aren't a sweet tooth, I may recommend a coffee or latte, those were perfect in my opinion. For the hot chili lovers, you must try their versions, I am in awe because it's the best hot chocolate I've had! Anyways, I did have hard time finishing these drinks in the pictures because of the extreme sweetness, but every time I've gotten a coffee variety, I down that thing like I'm parched!‍ Also, their drinks and conchas look amazing! I have been wanting to try this coffee spot for a while! Me and my boyfriend stopped here before heading to another event and it did not disappoint. Parking can be a little rough for this spot. You will have to find a parking space behind the building in the small lot or within a dirt lot. We went around 9:15am and there seemed to be decent parking around then. If you go to the front of the shop be prepared to call the facility to open the door for you. It remains locked at all times, I imagine for safety. Once you get into the building it is decorated so cute! You start by going to the pan dulce case and choosing whatever breads you would like. There are gloves and silver trays provided for the process. There were plenty of choices from heart shaped concha's, Reese's cookies, marranitos (shaped like gingerbread men), and many more! For this visit we each just tried a concha. The bread was so soft and fresh. It was honestly the best one I've had in a long time! *note any pan dulce has to be chosen before you go to order coffee to spread up the transaction process* The line may be long when you go due to popularity. Do not let it discourage you as the line moves quick! There are many yummy choices for coffee and the sizes are great (large pictures). I personally got the tres mexicanos coffee and it was so delicious! Not overly sweet or super strong. If you like darker roasted coffee it may not be for you. Overall, this place was amazing and we were already set on going back even before trying the coffee. The bread alone was immaculate! Really neat spot to grab a unique signature latte . The line was long when we arrived but went by fairly quickly . The concha bread is to die for - a must try . The chocolate one had Carmel inside , fun surprise . It is expensive , but it's really worth it for a coffee splurge moment . The lattes are very sweet . I got my flan latte half sweet and it was still pretty sweet for my taste but delicious none the less . There is seating through out . Fantastic! I'm visiting from out of town and needed to find a spot to get some work done. Hopped on good ol' Yelp and found this spot with free wifi, generous indoor and outdoor seating, and a check-in offer! I also loved that they had a wide variety of non-caffeinated beverages since it was a little later than I usually drink coffee. When my GPS took me here I almost kept going, because I didn't see the signage. I trusted the Yelp reviews and found the pink, inviting entrance behind the building through a small alley. Parking was easy and the cafe was pretty empty mid-afternoon which was perfect! Music is a little on the loud side, but they had a good playlist that kept me dancing through my work. The energy was great and really helped pass the time quickly. I started by grabbing a concha and two cookies- I couldn't choose just one treat! They boxed them up for me so I could nibble on all of them while I worked and could take the rest home. To sip on I got a strawberry horchata. Everything was delightful. If I lived locally I'm sure I'd be back soon! I'll definitely keep them on my radar for the next time I'm in the Phoenix area! read more

This was hands down the best coffee place I tried when I visited Phoenix. What drew me in was how bright and colorful the exterior patio is when I saw other reviews online. They have a little parking lot down a small alley that's kind of tucked away. Driving by you would not expect such a vibrant little Mexican themed coffee shop. I had their flan inspired latte which was a standout 10/10. My friend ordered the Cafe de Olla and he rated it a 8/10. Their pan dulce tasted fresh and they had a nice variety to choose from. They had the classics plus some filled with some sort of crème that were delicious! This place had so many flyers and signs on the walls, and you can tell that the owners truly care about their community. They offered free personal health items and resources for women and it looked like they even hosted community events! If I lived here this would be my go to, ride or die spot. I did feel really bad for the barista. She was super sweet and recommended drinks with great enthusiasm and made friendly small talk. When we first walked in it was only our group of friends, but once we finished ordering a huge crowd came in which started a super long line and it was just the one girl taking the orders and making the drinks. She provided excellent service and worked extremely hard, I just wish she had more help! We left after 30 minutes because they were hosting a paint and sip and they needed the tables we were sat at, but it did look like someone had started their shift and was able to help her out. I have had Tres Leches bookmarked for a bit and decided to stop by on a day off. The parking is located in an alley and there's enough parking for people coming in and out. When you walk in there is a hallway and a room that is beautifully decorated. You pass by a wall of fresh pan which you grab before ordering. I ordered the cafe miklo which is white chocolate and their blend of cream. I also thought the cup of mini conchas was so cute and decided to grab some for the kids. The drink was perfectly sweet (I love a sweet coffee) with a hint of almost a Champurrado taste. I loved it! The mini conchas were a bit dense and dry but the novelty of the mini food was loved. Been on a weekly journey to try new coffee shops and this week was Tres Leches Cafe! Such a cute shop, the inside is so colorful and the decor is very trendy but still showcases the beauty that is Mexican culture. The menu is pretty extensive and I can just tell everything would be full of flavor. I ultimately went with an iced Tres Aztecas and it was amazing!! The 3LC cream really makes the drink. It was sweet, cold, spiced, and had just the right balance of espresso flavor. They have pan dulces that looked amazing but I sadly didn't get any this round. Just another reason to go back! I also love that they hose different events. One of the large seating areas was occupied by a Paint and Sip event where they painted conchas on canvases. SO FUN! Lastly, I was impressed with the entire staff! As a first timer, I wasn't rushed and the girl taking my order answered all my questions and was so nice! The others making the drinks had a lot of orders to keep up with and they did it with a smile and were also so friendly when they called out the orders. Took our family on an adventure for some conchas, horchata and Mexican Iced coffee. Such a unique experience. A pleasant and tranquil vibe admist a not so pleasant part of town. The coffees were good, but we felt the coffee was on the weaker side. We ordered them half-sweet, per other Yelper recommendations, and they were still pretty darn sweet. Conchas were yummy. We were there at 8:20 (they open at 8am on Saturday) and they were mostly picked over in the pastry department. Would love to try some of the other pastries we saw posted. Overall a fun experience! We spent $40 for 3 drinks and 4 Conchas (plus tip). A little pricier than we anticipated, but worth the trip. read more

I honestly think about the coffee I got here at least once a week, I wish there was a similar place near me!! I got the Horchata Latte and it was the best thing ever. SO delicious. It was also very cute inside and out, the particular day we went there was live music and some vendors too! It was not busy when we went in, service was friendly and coffee came out quickly. We had ordered a couple bags of leftovers from the To Good To Go app. It was advertised as "a meal" so we thought we'd be getting something that would qualify as breakfast, at least, even if it was small. However, we received two bags of conchas. 5 conchas in each bag. Not exactly a meal, unless I brought my insulin pen with me. The place was clean enough. Although we stood in the "pick up here" line for about 10 mins before anyone acknowledged us. Three stars missing for false advertising, and waiting too long to even be greeted. Well worth it to come here. Their agua frescas, coffee drinks and wherever they get their conchas, are the best. You open the door and immediately fall in love with the ambiance. The team that works there are really nice and made conversation with us while we waited for our drinks. I really hope their community hypes them up because they deserve it. In CA we can get conchas, agua frescas, etc. but this place is unique and we were saying it's too bad we don't have something like this specifically, in CA. - I will tell you that where the Van Buren location is, it's a little bit in a rougher neighborhood so just want you to know eyes wide open. OMG I love this place! I've been eyeing it even before my trip to Phoenix and finally, the day before I had to leave the desert, I was able to stop by. Location wise, it's in an alleyway of all places, and not visible from the streets. It's off Van Buren Street, between 17th Avenue and 17th Drive. Turn into the alleyway and I think it was the second building coming in from Van Buren. There is a small parking lot to pull into. I arrived with hubs on a June Sunday a little after 5:00p, and it was pretty empty. The staff greeted us when we entered and told us that we can scan their menu, but I later found a laminated menu at the counter. We ordered a shorty iced flan de leches ($5.75) recommended by one of the staff, an O.G. hot tres Mexicanos ($7.00), and a shorty strawberry horchata ($5.75). Shorty = 16oz O.G. = 24oz Grandota = 32oz The female staff who recommended the flan de leches said that it's really sweet so I can chose to have it 1/2 sweetened so I did that. The strawberry horchata can be iced or blended so I got the iced version, which was what the staff liked. All drinks came with whipped cream (can request without). The verdict? All 3 drinks were deliciousssss! The horchata was for my kid who was waiting back at the hotel, but the whipped cream was melting so I *had* to take some sips, lol. I was glad that I half-sweetened my flan de leches, it was sweet enough for me, especially with the whipped cream. I was regretting getting a shorty though...should've gotten an O.G. We took back some of their baked goods, too. TBH, I'm not a big fan of Mexican pan dulce as they're more dense, but couldn't help it when I saw the piña empanada (big pineapple fan here). read more
