I've been wanting to try Xolo Coffee for months now and finally made the trek this weekend!!! There is a small parking lot out front shared with other businesses, including the tattoo/piercing shop next door "In The Streets Tattoo" nowned by the same folks as Xolo Coffee! I was specifically interested in their piercings (Side note, I asked if Xolo Tacos is also owned by them, but it isn't). I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, just missing the late morning rush, so I had ample options to choose from regarding seating (there's couches, tables, stools)! As a first-timer who loves specialty coffees, I inquired about which drink might be the sweetest and best suited to my tastes, and through shared decision-making, we decided on the Azucar Morena! It's comprised of brown sugar and molasses, which satisfied my taste buds and coffee fix. There wasn't a wifi password sign anywhere, but upon inquiry, I received it and proceeded to chill for an hour or so before closing. I loved that they kept the door open to let in more natural lighting and fresh outside air on that serene Sunday afternoon. Overall highly recommend this coffee shop for delicious, unique specialty coffees. I can't wait to return to try more, including the pistachio espesso and cafe de olla! We were immediately welcomed and assisted by Malice, who did a fantastic job at walking us through the best-sellers and his personal favorites. The coffee was naturally flavored, brewed to excellence, and wonderfully presented. The inside is decorated with a ton of local artwork, and does a great job of including the community, which is why this place is more-than-deserving of these 5 stars. Keep it up! read more

This spot was so unique, loved the theme it has going and service was great. I got the salted maple (I think) and it was perfect. The coffee was smooth and not bitter, sweetness was perfect as well. Listen I don't want to overhype this place but Xolo is far and away the best coffee I've had in Arizona. The best thing about it is it's consistently great! Like legitimately every time I have been there has been just as good as my first experience nearly three years ago. That kind of consistency is unmatched. Admittedly I have only ordered one drink from there which is a Geo with white chocolate and oat milk but once you've tried it you'll understand why I have not tried anything else. Plus the barista is always there no matter what time or day I go. That to me deserves at the very least a shout out. If I am really nitpicking and I mean REALLY nitpicking their pastry selection could be improved but the pastries themselves are still good. read more

Have been here 3x in the last two weeks, and every visit has been stellar! The shop is tucked away in a small strip mall, and you may not know it's a coffee shop at first. However, if you see the Xolo sign, pull into the parking lot and head in. There is plenty of parking. The folks slinging the coffee drinks appear to be the owner because they've been there every time I have visited. They're kind, warm, and welcoming. Even when they're busy, they make sure to acknowledge folks as they walk in. This might seem like a small thing, but it reminds me of being at the bar and the bartender acknowledging that they'll get your order next. I've had three different versions of their matcha latte, and they've all been delicious. They are happy to recommend items from the menu, and they ask clarifying questions to make sure you get what you want. Haven't had a chance to try their giant chocolate chip cookies yet, but it's on my list. Decor is fun, music is great (and not too loud), plenty of bright lighting, and feels like you're in a friend's *REALLY* nice garage. read more

I do not recommend coming here to work for a few hours, outlets are available but are by smaller tables so I could not fit everything on one table. Very nice barista! If you are looking for a great coffee shop in Phoenix, Xolo Coffee is among the best options in the area. When I arrived there shortly before they opened, I waited patiently for them to open. The owner did not unlock the entrance until a few minutes after its listed opening time, but it was no big deal. He apologized for opening up late and explained what had happened, which I appreciated. Upon entering the shop, the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. It features a nice, low-key interior, perfect for relaxing while enjoying your coffee. I ordered a simple cold brew, straight up black. It had a perfectly bold flavor. Based on what I saw on the menu, I will have to try their other items next time I stop by. The owner was friendly. Before I ordered the cold brew, he suggested some coffee drinks based on my preferences; next time, I will have to keep those suggestions in mind. Since I was the only one in the shop, I had a pleasant conversation with the owner. He mentioned that not only does he enjoy serving a nice cup of coffee, but he is also a tattoo artist and pointed out the tattoo shop next door. While I enjoyed my coffee, I appreciated how it made me feel right at home the entire time. Next time I am in the area, I will stop by and try some of the other coffee drinks on the menu. Easily will be one of my go to's. Drinks are not super sweet and I can actually taste the espresso. We tried the Mexican cold brew and the brown sugar latte. Both were delicious. I highly recommend the cold brew, one of the best I've had. I'm so happy to have tried this spot. It's hard to find good coffee in Arizona since a lot of places seem to make drinks that have a light espresso roast or is 90% milk. This place is not that so def give it a try! read more

They have some incredible photographs for sale and it's very cool with an altar and even some merch shelf's available. The barista was super friendly and approachable. The location has a small stage, maybe for small performances and some tables and chairs for seating. I would definitely come back for the cafe de olla, it was delicious. Was in the mood to try out a new coffee place one morning and I thought this places name was cool. Pictures seemed good so I decided to to check it out. Wow, this place is so good. I usually just get a vanilla latte but I decided to get their pistachio espresso (highly recommend). It was one of the best things I've ever drank. It was gone by the time I got home. I got my fiancé a vanilla oat milk latte and she was pissed I didn't save her any of mine. Service was great, fast and nice. I've been twice now and both guys working were super chill. And I didn't have to wait more than 5 mins. By the time I finished my order they were already behind the bar getting to work. Thanks guys. Ambiance is cool, if you like low riders, this place has a ton of artwork paying homage to low rider culture. Even if you don't like cars it's still a chill place to work or go on a coffee date. Such a badass concept! The owner also tattoos in the suit next door when he's not whipping up some coffee. The pistachio syrup is made 100% from scratch in house! Ok, I have to start by saying Xolo has been on my list for conchas but we also decided to try the coffee. Malice (hope I spelled that right), was incredibly kind and open. We learned more about the shop and that he owns the tattoo shop next door which is cool. We loved how the drinks are rooted in Mexican culture and loved trying the different variations. If you are up for something new, give the white chocolate habanero a try. We both loved the Azucar Morena, and we also got to try the conchas, cc cookie and the banana bread. The banana bread was my favorite (shout out to Malice's mom). This shop is inclusive and friendly, and Malice's kindness really came at a rough time in my life.
