This is an elegant experience. Im pretty picky and appreciate customer service and I was impressed with the staff and the food! The facility is beautiful and is set in a gorgeous isolated valley. The views are wonderful looking out over the vineyards. The food was elegant and first rate. The chefs know how to cook. The sourdough bread and lemon infused butter was terrific. Our waiter and wine presenter were well trained and sophisticated. Their presentation was elegant and professional. I felt well cared for. The wines were very good and were paired with first rate little courses of food: roasted beet salad set in a jocoque creamed cheese, prepared with chiltipin and chives, finished with pistachios and arugula, then tatemado lamb in a beer and anise reduction with glazed carrot and brussel sprout, then last pairing was a sweet warm corn bread and a fresh custardy ice-cream with cut fruit. Im telling you this was pretty badass. I havent even mentioned the wine, but it was perfectly paired and presented. No trip to San Miguel is complete without a stop at Tres Raices.
