Her great grand parents were buried in Greenwood Memorial Terrace but the graves weren't marked. Kelly from the office looked them up and printed off giant maps. He could have stopped there. But he left a busy office and walked us out to the exact locations. The area where our kin are buried is a "non-endowed" section of the cemetery. They do no maintenance. No upkeep at all. It's like being buried in the woods. It is hauntingly beautiful. No tailored lawns. Primitive elegance. They let families put up their own temporary markers or you can pay to have something permanently placed. It all seemed very reasonable. And Kelly was so great about tromping around with us when there wasn't any payoff. It's exactly the sort of treatment we would all want no matter what our situation.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Northwest Granite has been extremely…read moredisappointing from start to finish. Communication was awful at every level. Any time I raised concerns with the project managers, they were quick to blame me for delays and became defensive and aggressive instead of listening. At no point did anyone take ownership of the issues I was experiencing--I felt constantly questioned, doubted, and talked down to. The demolition crew that removed my old countertops was careless and unprofessional. They never put down any protection on my brand-new floors, and while breaking apart the old stone they crushed pieces of countertop into the flooring, damaging several areas. They also punched a hole in a wall I had just repaired and said nothing--no acknowledgment, no apology, just left it for me to find later. On top of that, they left sharp broken pieces of stone inside the cabinets, on the floors, in adjoining rooms, and even in the driveway. It felt like a rushed job with zero regard for housekeeping, safety, or respect for my home. When it came time to measure for the new countertop, they incorrectly measured the area next to the refrigerator. The new top was cut too wide and is now pushing the cabinet panel out, leaving about a 1/4" gap. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they tried to blame me--saying it was already like that or that the cabinet panel was warped--and spoke to me as if I couldn't see the obvious issue. I waited weeks to hear what the next steps would be, but no one followed up. I always had to call or show up in person to get any kind of response from project managers or sales. The finished product is also poor quality. The seam is bad enough that I can catch a fingernail on it, and the edge looks rough and under-polished. Overall, this feels like a "fast and cheap" operation geared toward large apartment jobs or quick flips--not homeowners who care about quality and detail. If you value craftsmanship, clear communication, and simply getting what you paid for without having to fight for it, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I regret giving them my business, and by the end I was just willing to accept whatever got me out of dealing with them any longer. I would not recommend Northwest Granite to anyone.

When we eventually got word of his passing, over a month later, we were all shocked. His son had been searching for him so he could meet his grandchildren for the first time. Sarah was a true blessing to us. My mother coordinated with her for my uncle's cremation and to have him sent home to us. Sarah was upfront about all of the costs, gave us options and helped us make an action plan. I will forever be grateful for Sarah's kindness and willingness to work with our family through all of us. There is customer service and then there is the care that Sarah showed. Death is a part of life and I only hope that other families can have someone with Sarah's heart to help them through their difficulties. Thank you for sending him home to us. You'll always be a postive imprint on our family.
