As for my friends and I we let few people pass as there are some pros here trying to get through the hole course quick. The best thing I like about these golf places is the golf carts. I don't know about you but I like driving these things 100% of the time. These golf carts equipped with gps, scoring, and time tracking. Extra features has some servicing I believe if needed and they are somewhat electric powered, very quiet when driving. The main shop is quite small but convenient for the golfers, small dining lounge and with a gift shop. Parking is spacious and washrooms are well kept. The cost is seen in photo. Also beware of mosquitoes at this time. Highly recommend you bring mosquito spray, sun lotion, extra water bottle, and sunglasses. Players get one water bottle. There are washrooms located within the golf course so don't be worried of drinking to much water. Recommended for anyone looking to try new golf areas.

Inside the mini clubhouse they have a pro shop with a few items for sale, not a huge selection but if you forget your balls or tees they have all that there. They also have a food and beverage offerings in there and you can load up before you head out on the course. We let the staff know that we were somewhat beginners and I will say that they do schedule the tee times fairly close to one another. We were getting to the tee box as the players in front of us were either on the fairway or on the green so it's quite a quick pace of play. There were a few times we were falling a tad behind the game play and the Marshall was really nice and came over and helped us look for our balls for a couple holes and get us caught up to the game play. The greens were nice and even though it is end of the season the fairway and greens were still in good condition. Overall I would definitely come back and I would recommend this course to others. We played best ball and it worked well for us as far as keeping up to game play. It was a beautiful day and busy day full of people but everyone was super friendly.

I'm not much of a golfer, but I'm much more of one after just a few hours of putting and driving with Dave. I highly recommend him - not only because he is an exceptional teacher and jam-packs lessons with tips and insights that instantly change the way you look at the game and play - he has a genuine love of this game that stretches over decades. He's a pleasure to learn from and he made the lessons fast-paced, challenging and fun! I can't say much about the course, as I haven't played it, although from what I've heard it's some pro terrain that will make you work your game pretty hard. Redtail's training greens, I can say, were topnotch and we were given free water and carts for the duration of our lesson. Service: excellent. Too bad the course is by the airport - a 30-minute drive from downtown. We paid $140 each for a group of six, which included five lessons with Dave. As I'm virtually a beginner, the amount of one-on-one instruction I got was perfect. He moved around the group, gave us each pointers and kept things moving forward - without overwhelming us. I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for another round of lessons with Dave. He's a busy guy so try to book with him early in the year. In the fall he is more flexible. On the one side, there is the beautiful and open golf course, opened throughout the summer. The gold course is open to both military and non military folks. On the inside, there is the curling club - while sitting inside the restaurant, you can see the curling rink. The bunker lounge is a great spot to go to. It offers a variety of pub like foods, shareable appetizers, salads and soups, burgers and sandwiches. The bunker also offers daily specials Monday to Friday. A full bar is available; bottled and draft beers, drinks and pop are there for every liking. The food there is very good - great wings and salad, the beef dip and classic cheeseburger are so tasty!! The poutine is very tasty - they use cheese curds, which makes it even better. The Bunker has a capacity of 260 people, making it a great place to have gathering, parties and other events. Good music and sports (as well as other tv programs) are available for entertainment. Finally, The Bunker at the Edmonton Garrison is a great spot to visit for good foods and drinks.

My review is based on the following aspect of a golf course : tee boxes/fairways/bunkers/hazzards/greens/prices Tee Boxes - I find them VERY consistent and well maintained, I'm not teeing up in dirt or on burnt grass. they are all mostly slightly elevated and get good irrigation to there are no dips in them. they are very satisfying when it comes to their boxes being level. great work! Fairways - i can't say enough about them. well groomed and not patchy. that's all you can really ask for! Bunkers - down side, sand qualify. its nothing special, but its also not that bad. on days after the rain, its clay. Hazards - not really that much trouble you can get in to. the fairways are wide and their is only 2 holes that have water, and they are swimming pool sized. you need to go looking in order to catch these hazards. Greens - Greens are extremely consistent and well maintained. one of the nicest public course greens I've played. nothing crazy as if i were paying $150/round but well worth the money spent to play here. Price - Unbeatable! $30 on a weekday, $35 on a weekend. this course costs pennies compared to its quality. you can pick up a half season pass in July for $495 and that most definitely makes your money back quickly! one of my favourite courses! I was a member in 2010 but really did not have much golfing time in 2011 so opted out this year. maybe next year!
