I am new to golfing but I've had the opportunity to get out quite a bit this past summer. One of…read morethe places we went to was The Links at Spruce Grove. Now, I rarely ever go out to Spruce Grove as it's quite far from home, but they had an awesome deal for golfing on weekends after 2pm: For 2 people, at $65 per person, you each get a bucket of balls for the driving range and a $10 voucher for their clubhouse restaurant/bar (and yes, it can be spent on alcohol), and a golf cart to share. How could I pass this up?! I really liked the course though I found it challenging for a newbie (it also didn't help that we got stuck behind a tournament which really killed my drive to play). It is very well maintained (though later in the afternoon the weather changed and blew leaves everywhere), and the clubhouse is quite nice as well, very modern, nice bathrooms. The staff were nice enough to let me fill up my water bottle from the jug of ice water at the bar. There is a little pro shop attached to it where you pay for your round, and they happened to be having a sale on summer clothing. This was extremely useful for when it got cold and I needed to buy a jacket. We stayed for dinner and sampled their food - gotta use up those food vouchers! They had a pretty standard pub menu; I really wanted to try the wings but decided I should try and eat somewhat healthier food. So I went with a turkey club sandwich :) It came with either soup, fries, or salad - I chose the latter and the broccoli slaw that came out was actually pretty good, fresh and crunchy. The club sandwich was good too - though I don't know if it still qualifies as a club sandwich since it didn't have the middle layer of bread? But I don't need the extra slice anyway so it didn't bother me. The turkey was real and not just deli meat, the bacon was perfectly crispy and not the pre-made stuff, and the real slice of cheddar cheese was much appreciated. Husband ordered the chicken penne alfredo, which came with what I think were supposed to be naan wedges but were really more just like pita bread. I found it bland, but the addition of pepper helped a bit. Service was a bit slow but understandable as it was fairly busy. Seems like everyone was taking advantage of the same deal. Overall, I had fun, but was disappointed that the marshall (or whatever that person is called that comes around to make sure that the game is running on time) seemed non-existent for this golf tournament ahead of us. We were constantly 2-3 groups behind, and on the 5th hole, there were another 2-3 groups behind us. I think it took us 3 hours to get through the first 9 holes? Fortunately the tournament stopped there and we had the back 9 holes to ourselves. Hopefully this doesn't happen again next time!

Never thought that course is that beautiful…read more As soon as I took the exit to the course building, I noticed how beautiful the area is and when I got there I saw a beautiful place and it seemed like a very well maintained facility. The staff was pretty helpful and efficient in handling multiple customers. The driving range was awesome. I specifically enjoyed the holders they had beside each stall for your golf bag! I had a very good experience and I'm already planning for my next visit with my friends! :)

There was some serious tinker bell dust making the day perfect but I'm hooked! I'll be back again and again! PS The Quarry Restaurant was the perfect end to the day! The clubhouse is wonderful, the staff fantastic. Course is definitely one of the more difficult courses in the Edmonton area. I must give my props to the greens keepers as the course is in terrific shape. The carts are wonderful and new with a GPS map and everything. I do however wish the carts had a cooler with some ice in it. Had to drink my beers too fast to prevent them from getting warm haha. Couldn't recommend Quarry enough, it is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

XD I think this place counts as the second spin studio I've visited, and I like that they still have the flashing disco light show, timed songs playlist, and super energetic spin instructor to pump it up! It's pleasant to know that a good portion of the people there are regulars and both regular riders and the staff are willing to offer their assistance to setup your bike appropriately for a great ride. The little hand towels they provide on the bikes at the start of every class also helps reduce my laundry load at the end of the week haha :D Sadly the couple instructors I had the privilege of riding with are moving on from the studio or on vacation for an extended period, but I look forward to riding with different instructors and figuring out whose pace and energy I jive with :) Also! I really appreciated the opportunity to be able to participate in the February limited-time offer for earning some extra rides! I brought my friend and we both earned some free rides, and although sore from her first time in a while, really enjoyed the space and energy brought by the other riders and staff! All bikes were equipped with shoe cages and optional clips for cycle shoes. Each bike had space to hold your water bottle, phone, and a meter tracking both distance and RPM. It was so great to get back on a spin bike and I couldn't have dreamed up a more inviting atmosphere or instructor! If you're looking for a way to take your workout up a notch, give Tru Ride a try!

This location is always clean and has great staff. There's a ton of parking and several washrooms that are always clean and well kept. However and unfortunately Derricks reception and customer service need quality attention. It is the first point of contact and the most important. I will not book our company Christmas event with them or return with potential business partners to play - golf is a game for all those that enjoy a round or two it is no longer a class status sport.

I was quite impressed, though this was my first time at a golf club of any sort. In terms of catering for the event I attended, the food was decent. The portions were rather small and the desserts could have been more imaginative than dessert squares, but the menu was still satisfying overall. The banquet room which we were in was large enough for the event (about 150 people or so) but the individual tables were fairly cramped, so much so that we had to rearrange our plates in order to eat. Other than that, service was organized and efficient, and the overall establishment is pristine and seems to offer a variety of activities and programs for families.

We are here today for a fun afternoon out and I'd have to say, the most fun afternoon I've had in a…read morelong time! I'm one who is severely afraid of heights and I had a blast!!! The set up of the faculty is awesome. We spent our afternoon "bouldering" and climbing the walls. The instructors are amazing! Highly knowledgeable, and they take the time to demonstrate and explain everything thoroughly. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this to everyone!

But a pull cart is only $2 so.... Not bad. The rates are cheap and Tuesday is ladies day so they get 1/2 off 18 which is nice. There is no beer cart. So grab a couple when you start. The actual course is nice. It is well kept, while I don't recall sand traps there is some water. Also the foliage is well kept, so you should be able to find your balls. It is a decent little course to learn on!!
