They each worked about five hours straight non-stop, organizing, labeling, sorting, etc. A particularly challenging aspect concerning this job is that the space was very confined and limited so it was like trying to solve and manipulate a giant Rubik's cube. The weather didn't help matters, but that was no deterrent to these gals--they pushed thru like real troopers. They were both very professional and worked efficiently without judgment. Wished I could have had them each another 5 hours or more as this was a particularly big and convoluted job--sorting through years of accumulated items, clothing, tools, supplies, and personal treasures all out most of which were in disarray. The end result, while not totally completed due to time and other constraints was nonetheless satisfactory. My main reluctance to the possibility of using Spruce Goose again would be that their rate$ are very high in my opinion--but then again, if I factor in the value I place on my personal time I suppose they are worth the extra premium! Went to Container Store, California Closet & they both told me the system I have is not by them. I looked up Closet by Design & again, was told the system does not belong to them. However, they were willing to send a sales person to see if they can help. The bracket they had matched mine perfectly so I purchased 3 rods w measurements that fit my spaces. Well, the rods came w brackets but the engineer did not account for the brackets so it did not fit!! I got them to come out several weeks later when I was able to take the day off to run some errands. My appt was btn 2-4. I figure it would take them no longer than 10 min to get it done so I made another appt for 5 pm for something else. I called them prior to my appt to make sure they are going to arrive w/i time. Unfortunately technicians weren't able to be contacted & I was called later that they will not arrive til 4:45 which I would have to cancel my 5 pm appt. I was transferred to a supervisor named Scott Bollinger(?) who told me that they were doing me a favor coming out to cut the rods to fit & if I reschedule, I would incur cost of next trip... What??? You are telling me that you did me a favor by selling me the 3 unusable rods which cost total of $167 (included S&H) & then I had to take a day off for them to correct the situation & now they cannot be rescheduled & I have to cancel my following appt??? Lesson learned that I will no longer deal with them anymore. The rods were fixed & now I can use them but I did have to cancel & reschedule the other appt. It took no more than 10 min... if they had just come to me 1st then we would not be in this situation. The mgr was an ass. Not that I don't understand things do happen & ppl do fall behind but for him to tell me "take it or leave it" it does not bow very well & very poor customer service!!
