The simple story is....we trusted Matt and he ripped us off. We were moving across the country from…read moreupstate NY to Colorado. We needed someone to care for our corals while we moved tank, fish and live rock cross country by car. We gave him $300 for shipping, gave him permission to frag anything he wanted and also gave him a big metal halide light fixture in a solid oak canopy(which we could easily have sold) to use or sell. We left all our corals...totaling twenty at least, in his care. Six weeks or so later, having settled and re-established our 90 gallon tank, we contacted him to send our corals westward. After having some difficulty getting him to return our calls...he finally did respond and we set up a timeline for shipping. After shipping was in progress....Matt contacted me to say that he'd been unable to afford to ship overnight (as corals should be shipped) but instead chose 2nd day air! What I received was a box of stinking, dissolved coral of which only two could be saved....and these were only a small fraction of what I had left with him! After notifying him of above, and detailing what was missing he assured me that the rest was on its way. Well, needless to say, none of the rest of my coral ever headed my way....he kept the coral and the money. He's probably selling frags of it still. What I should have done is take pictures of what I left with him and had him sign a contract...but a friendly attitude convinced me he was worthy of trust. Hopefully others won't be deceived!

I love another pet food store closer to work, but this is closer to home, which is great. They have an awesome selection of cat and dog foods and supplies. They carry a lot of the highest quality brands and specialty diet products and treats. Great selection of toys, litter etc, too. The employees are super nice and helpful. They also sell fish and fish supplies, bunnies, guinea pigs, and chinchillas plus items for their needs. Prices seem very reasonable. They also offer monthly sales promotions and you can earn points towards future purchases (I love that about high quality shops). I'll definitely be back.

I would recommend this place to anyone who genuinely wants their pet to be healthy, as they know more about pet nutrition that your vet probably does. they fixed an allergy issue with my dog in one conversation by recommending a certain food. most vets will only recommend hills or purina which are now scientifically shown to decrease your pets health over time. kibble is also showing to cause cancer in dogs, but your vet won't tell you any of that. they do their research about everything. for fish, animal nutrition and overall wellness I shop at one stop.

Judging by all the other customers last weekend with kids in tow, I'm not the only parent with this idea! My children love looking at the guinea pigs, ferrets, and rodents playing in their cages. We also come here to watch the birds munch on seeds/veggies, the cats swat around jingly balls, and the oodles of colourful fish swimming around. The reptiles are a favourite, too. Staff here are friendly and they seem to work really hard. There seems to be a good selection of toys and bedding for pets of all kinds here, and we usually buy homemade treats here for our dog. All in all, we'll be back...probably on a frigid winter's day when the kids are itching for something to do.

They have a TON of staff that know their s***. My favorite staffer who disappeared from the Atwater location was even there so they earned extra street cred. Buy feeders by the dozen and they have discounts (dozen ghost shrimp come out to almost half price compared to individual cost). We were the last people to leave the store and didn't feel at all rushed. They even walked us to the door on the other side of the strip mall to ensure we would be as close to our parking spot as possible since it was freezing out. A+

Their aquatic section (notoriously hard to maintain) is well organised and they do quarantine new arrivals. The birds and small mammals are housed in the same area, but they are always cleaning when I arrive and clearly have a good daily maintenance schedule. I am particularly delighted the store allows a few friendly cats to roam around who are affectionate and calm.
