Our experience with Dr. Weis at the ambulatory surgical center was deeply upsetting and unprofessional. Our daughter was placed under general anesthesia for dental treatment, and we were told she needed all four front baby teeth extracted due to decay. We were never shown the X-rays, and we were not given a chance to fully discuss or understand the alternatives beforehand. Mid-surgery -- while our daughter was already under anesthesia -- we were approached and asked to sign a "refusal of treatment" form. This came after we questioned the necessity of removing all four teeth. It was shocking, emotional, and completely inappropriate to force a high-stakes decision at that point, under pressure. When we refused the extractions, no treatment was done on 3 of the 4 front teeth, and we were told by the nurse that fillings would "fail" due to the size of the teeth. This decision felt rushed and unsupported -- we received no explanation ahead of time, only a defensive conversation with Dr. Weis after the fact, where he attempted to justify his decisions instead of acknowledging our right to be fully informed. This was a clear example of "white coat syndrome" -- using authority to override parental input -- and a disturbing instance of "drill and bill" practices, where invasive procedures are pushed with minimal discussion. These were baby teeth that would fall out naturally shortly. We are relieved we stopped the extractions, but no parent should have to make this kind of decision while their child is already sedated. If you're considering working with Dr. Weis, get a second opinion first, and don't be afraid to ask hard questions. Trust your gut. read more

My first visit with my son went extremely well . We set an appointment to have him go under anesthesia for a chipped tooth and a few fillings. I had a exhausting and extremely disappointed interaction with mrs sandra who explains the appointments needed to be done before he can go under for the dental work . She is a awful miserable unprofessional woman who wastes time energy and effort . My son is not biologically mine i have had full custody since he was born . My custody papers his last name was not hyphenated like it was supposed to be . So i set up a court date had all my custody papers changed . Made all my pediatric appointments to clear him for OR and anxiously and excitedly waited for our appointment. Well mrs sandra the awful unprofessional ignorant woman that she is calls me . She referred to me as my sons custodian. First off lady i am his mother and that is what you will call me . The call continues we need to know his. Pediatric Dr . She said my sons DR claims to not know who he is . Laughable is a understatement they have been my sons dr since birth . I told her they would be callling her right now . I called my sons dr . By the way my sons dr is absolutely amazing . They told me they have spoken to this woman many times and she knows they are his dr and they callled her right away again . I Followed up and called mrs sanders again . Yes i talked to them they do not have your san as a patient. At this point i am floored at this incompetent woman . I. Have wasted almosst. Year getting ready for my sons dentist visit and this woman is playing games with my kids teeth . I filed a complaint against this nasty woman i will be posting this review on every possible site. Under no circumstances will i have this nasty woman be a part. Of my son going under anesthesia with all the possible problems that could happen to him if this woman has anything to do with it at all . My sons life will not be in the hands of this disgusting woman . Absolutely no way . I am looking for another dentist . This woman should be fired immediately read more

My son went to his 6 month cleaning in January. The office is clean,and the staff are nice. This is not my problem with this office. They told me he had two cavities and needed another sealant on a molar that he previously had a sealant on. Something didn't seem right to me. My son religiously brushes and flosses his teeth, so to get two cavities in a 6 month period seemed strange. I decided to take my son to my dentist and get a second opinion. My dentist looked at my son's teeth and informed me that he has no cavities. He said he only has a spot on one area of his tooth where the enamel didn't grow completely, so that tooth needs a small filling to fix it. My dentist said my son actually has very healthy teeth, and it would be a shame to drill into a tooth if not necessary. I am disgusted with Weis Pediatric Dentistry. It seems as though they are a practice that cares too much about money, and not being honest and truthful about the care that is needed, or not needed. I was a loyal customer to them for 7 years, but I will no longer be going back. read more

My children also have gone here. My one daughter was told she had 10 cavities after only one her last 6 month cleaning. My other daughter was told she had 4 cavities after none 4 months prior. I also went and received a second opinion and they don't have that many cavities. They seem to be more about money since the old dentist retired than about the kids. Such a shame. read more

My son got 1.....1 filling today. Cost? $193!!! Seriously? Also, they gave him nitrous and local anesthetic....for a filling?! When my wife set up the appointment she declined the nitrous. I did t find out until after when my son said that he couldn't drive home because of it. What a way to inform the parent. The price is outrageous for one, and two, we didn't consent to him getting gas for a small filling that local anesthetic can cover just fine. I'm beyond upset and we are switching dentists IMMEDIATELY! My wife just had a cleaning and 2 fillings at her dentist for $61....goodbye Weis Pediatric Dentistry. I will definitely be warning people of your poor business practices. read more

I took my daughters here, aged 7 & 5 years. My impression was that they cared more about the money than my daughters teeth. I was alos told my daughters had lots of cavities & the dentist (a female dentist) was so unfriendly to the kids & quite unproffesional especially after she realized I wasnt keen on bringing them back for the sealant she had recommended. I was reluctant taking them back & decided to come online & see if there are any reviews for Weis pediatrics. I wasn't surprised to read previous reviewers who felt exactly the same way I felt. I will not be taking them back here. Better off trying my luck with any other place than here. read more

This was my daughter's 3rd visit, all went well during each visit. But it would be nice, if they explain what will happen before the dental tech begins. Also it would be great if the Dentist would introduce themselves before going into my child's mouth. I have never seen Dr. Weis, so I don't know if he really exists, not even a walk by. Overall a good visit today for her, no cavities, she did well getting x-rays. The assembly line technique is a little impersonal, in my opinion. read more

My son LOVES Dr. Weis! He is not always the most cooperative child and Dr. Weis and his staff are so patient and kind! He loves going to the dentist! He has even had a cavity fixed, and he came back to me with a smile on his face! They are definitely dedicated to changing the way people think about dentists. read more
