    BEWARE OF THIS SHOP!!!…read more My insurance made me go here for damage to back bumper, trunk. and leaking water into the trunk after the accident. I waited almost 2 months to get appt for repair. It was suppose to be done in a week. They had ordered wrong parts and it took almost a month for repair. I did not notice when I picked it up but there was a new bumper impact absorber in the backseat of the car. Within 1 week, I had a flat tire. There was a gallon of water in the spare tire well. The back up light was not working, the trunk was not aligned properly that had damaged the paint on the bumper. I immediately took it back. I had a call 2 days later that it was ready to pick up. They realigned the trunk lid . . . improperly again and worse than before. They did not fix the light, repair the paint, and said the water was related to a previous accident that was no where near the current damage. In addition, they had left trim parts off saying that the only way to keep the trunk dry was to leave that off. The trunk has remained dry since then but other problems remain. As far as the extra bumper impact absorber, when I dropped the car back off, the representative said they routinely wrapped it up and put it back in the customers car. I pointed out it had factory wrapping and a factory VW label on it and it was new. I don't know if it was replaced or not. The representative when I picked it up said they routinely ordered 2 of those to "Speed up the repair." Anyway, you can tell the representative was lying because his lips were moving. My trunk/bumper is still not right, I will be taking it to another shop for proper repair. As far as costs / value, there is no value in an improper repair that has to be fixed by another shop at my expense. Anyway, BEWARE OF THIS SHOP!!!

OVERALL Melinda's Grade: A In short: Give your money to a charity and set your car on fire... this will cause enlightenment, and JHCC will not be responsible for a vehicle, the insurance will replace the totaled, burned-out wreck. This is a much better option than trusting these incompetent people to act with the slightest inkling of professional grace, poise or ability. NUMBER OF ISSUES REMAINING AFTER PAYING $9000 (APPX): 14 Repair time: (DEC 8, 2020 to JAN 27, 2021)(They tried to blame me, my insurance company, the guy they fired the day after my vehicle intake, and everyone else under the sun for the reasons why. Just more excuses.) I am working on a more detailed writeup in my spare time, but for now let's get a few things straight. 1. I would have given a NEGATIVE 1 star (If that were possible), however, I spoke with their corporate image specialist, named Melinda, and she really is exceptional at her job. I collected my vehicle yesterday to the tune of ~$9000. I was referred to JHCC by the infinity dealer. I read the reviews and figured they would be ok. I WAS WRONG. 2. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP - Unless bad quality craftsmanship, workmanship and bad manners are OK. After the 8th or 9th excuse for the absolutely abhorrent job they did repairing my vehicle I lost my cool and said "Fix it right, I'll be back tomorrow." 3. THEY REFUSED TO COVER THE RENTAL CAR FOR ONE MORE DAY - CALLED ME TO SAY THIS. I didn't ask them to cover the car in the first place, this was volunteered. During this conversation I pointed out that they didn't apologize for any of the mistakes, or even admit they were mistakes. He (Will) was happy to remind me how he apologized profusely, not actually apologize. I lost my cool at this moment, on the phone, I yelled at the guy. I was so upset that I blew up. I am familiar with this tactic however, they use bad quality work and poor behavior to drive people to the point of frustration, and then when they do finally give in to the frustration, they take the moral high road. "Oh, if you are going to talk to me like that ..... etcetera." It is manipulative and they use it to cover their incompetence. I saw the grease in the front as soon as I got in, and, to be fair, they cleaned it when I said that. That was the only thing they were competent at. The painting was nice, blended well, I would give it a B+, although I believe they sent out for painting (this is speculation.) I can't prove it, but I think they sat in my car and watched the tv screens. There was grease in the front, middle row and back row. Some of the photos are in the back where the taillights were replaced and the quarter-panel was repaired.

    There are two major reasons why I'm leaving this review without actually having them do work on my…read morecar. First, the reason: their estimate was 4x what I was quoted by another body shop. Second, the communication. I explained the minimal amount of work I was wanting and yet my claim came with exorbitant labor hours, painting, etc.. on a salvage title car, no less. They may do excellent work and leave your car looking good as new. But they seem to want to get every penny on the table.

I did get estimates from a couple of other places, but I knew when I brought the car here for an estimate and met with Steve that I was going to get comprehensive service. He thoroughly inspected the car and took extensive pictures. Also, during the repair process, I managed the process remotely for my parents and got outstanding customer service about how to facilitate the repair process. They even handled getting the rental car since this shop is a direct repair facility for our insurance agent. While I thought this body shop was head and shoulders above any other body shop I've experienced, the one other thing that I thought was a great innovation is that they send you text messages every day or two to alert you to the progress. In fact, our car was finished a day early. Finally, the quality of work appears outstanding and looks like the accident never happened, but their work does carry a lifetime warranty for as long as we own the car. If you ever need a place to get your car fixed, this is a first class option.

Several months later, I noticed that all my floor boards in the back seat were sopping wet every time it rained. I had never had this problem before. After taking it to multiple body shops, and getting many opinions on where the leak may have been coming from, I finally went to a recommended friend whose a mechanic. He spent hours trying to track down the leak, and the last place he looked was under my back bumper that Dennis Powell replaced. He found the leak! There were multiple cracks in the frame of my car where I had been hit, and all the water (about four gallons) had collected in my spare tire compartment, and was flowing down into my floor boards. This was obvious, VISIBLE damage, and Dennis Powell didn't even bother to seal any of the cracks! They simply put on a brand new bumper that looked great, while covering over MAJOR DAMAGE. Now I'm left with drying out my floor boards to avoid mold and rust issues, not to mention the expense of repairs. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone!
