The bad: This place charges A LOT! I have had the impression more than once that finding every opportunity to add charges during an exam is included in their staff training. Also, there is little/no transparency with charges ahead of time. I am putting it out there so people can be aware. We boarded our dogs and paid a lot extra for their "luxury run". It was supposed to have a tv that played soothing videos and be equipped with cameras that we could log into and check on them at our convenience. We were not allowed to see this in person because of "safety protocol" and the morning we checked them in we were informed that the cameras were down. We had no way of knowing if we got anything that we were charged extra for, and we were charged a lot extra. They were unapologetic about this and did not offer to reduce the bill for the services that were not provided. Over $200 for 24 hours and I have no idea if we got anything we payed extra for. Pros: skilled vets and usually can get an appointment quickly Cons: they squeeze you for every dime and you must take it on faith that you are getting what you paid for.

We have, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to two beloved dogs there, and those moments are some of the hardest a pet owner can face. The compassion, patience, and kindness shown by their entire team during those times were beyond anything we could have hoped for. They treated our pets with dignity and love, and they supported us with such genuine empathy. Saying goodbye is unbearable, but Whitney Veterinary Hospital created a space filled with comfort and understanding. They gave us all the time we needed and thoughtfully provided everything to help make those final moments as peaceful as possible. We are endlessly grateful for their care and would recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly goes above and beyond.

Our initial appointment went so smoothly from the check in process to the appointment itself. You can really feel that all the staff cares deeply about each pet. When I called about an issue my cat was having I was able to be seen same day. Dr. Frazier was incredibly patient and kind during the entire appointment. She followed up multiple times after the appointment to make sure everything went well and my kitty was feeling better. I also appreciate them going over pricing prior to specific treatments. They take you in a room and then they remove your animal from your sight and behind closed doors for the "examination" and yearly "leprto/bordetella shots". I then requested a prescription for her heartworm medication stating I would order it online. After paying my invoice, (which included $3.75 for using my debit card), I left without receiving my prescription. I called them and they said they could not mail the prescription and that I would need to come back in and pick it up when I signed their heartworm waiver (they did not mention this at our appointment). I went back 2 days later, signed the waiver, and again requested my prescription. They stated there would be a $10 charge to write the prescription since I was not ordering it through THEIR website and that I could pick it up tomorrow because they did not have time to write it up. So, the next day I had to go back to them for the prescription! 3 trips for my 1 dog! DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!

I witnessed the situation below where 1 star was given to this business and East Side responded to…read morethe review without giving or even knowing all the facts involved so I feel compelled to leave a review as well since I witnessed firsthand the situation involving this dog. After digging out of the yard, the dog was caught by a neighbor and taken to East Side Veterinary Clinic. The clinic contacted the owner and reported she was in critical condition, unable to walk, with a temperature of 104°F. (A dog's temperature can reach 104°F or higher from overheating due to exercise, especially during hot weather or in situations where they are unable to cool themselves effectively. Both of these were factors that day.) They recommended $1,500 in testing or relinquishment of the dog. When the owner's family arrived, The dog walked to them and appeared alert. They paid $220 and took her to their regular veterinarian, who examined her and confirmed she was healthy and able to go home. Contrary to what East Side claims...no police or authorities were ever involved. Based on what I observed, the clinic's assessment did not match the dog's actual condition, and the communication left the owners feeling pressured. Pet owners rely on veterinary clinics for accurate, transparent care, and in this instance, that standard was not met. 8/16/25 UPDATED REVIEW: I was not there at the vet and I am not the daughter of the owner. I was at the same class the two of them were. I overheard the conversation between the owner and East Side. I heard the $1500 quote. No number under $1500 was discussed. It was $1500 for diagnostics that was quoted. My classmate said she "appreciated what was done so far. I need to get eyes on my dog to see how she is for myself". She was very worried for her dog and only spoke with concern, no hostility. The police, IF they were called, never showed up. More empty threats and lies. And they well know they did not offer a refund. They said, "We WERE going to offer a refund but now we are not". So it was rescinded before it was even offered. I have no desire to call and discuss this with anyone there since accurate statements are a foreign concept to their company. However, I will keep responding to the lies that are continuing to be told. And I will be sharing my testimony with anyone who will hear since I live in this community. By the way, both beloved dogs are happy and healthy and on vacation with the owner. 8/20/2025 Updated Review: Interestingly, your best response is: "We cannot allow false and defamatory statements to go unanswered." When you, Elizabeth, Beth, East Side...have shown yourself to be the very definition of giving false and defamatory statements. My ears were VERY much present during this event so I can say I was a witness and a court of law would agree with me. I heard the quote of $1500 to which you are denying. I heard the owner's questions and concern toward her dog. And I'm aware of your reputation of your business. So it doesn't matter...as a consumer, as a concerned citizen, and yes, as a witness, my testimony stands. You said you didn't wanna go back-and-forth and invited me to call your office concerning this and then you deleted that part of your response to my review After realizing that I wasn't the owner's daughter that you interacted with. You respond to reviews so defensively that they reek of insincerity and again, untruths. Good job for when you get four and five stars. I'm very happy that you have some people who are satisfied with your services. Keep trying for that standard. No one I know will ever hear a positive review because of how you respond, you lie and rewrite history. Accept the negative reviews for what they are, accept my review, accept my testimony and do better take better care of people and pets. And know someone far more important than I am is watching as a witness to what actually happened and you can ultimately answer to Him. Later today after your response to my response... And I am truly shocked at the time and effort you put into fabricating more lies. And good point, why don't you show the security videos of the interactions between you and the owner and her family? Let it speak for itself. And also, it is true that I was not present for the entirety of the experience they had. However, when I see what you say conflicts with what I heard, and I know it to be false on your part....that only convinces me you can't be truthful. You know...people often have to have the last word because they feel like they need to defend themselves. I'm going to respond back because I need to defend what I observed. You don't deserve more patients. You deserve to go out of business. And the more I respond to your lies, the more you respond back and make yourself look even more untrustworthy. So let's keep it up. I have no skin in this. My dogs get wonderful care elsewhere. I just don't like liars. You have a serious problem with the truth.
