Checking in on the holiday typically gets you a quieter park and season our hunch pays off. The park is mostly empty today. In the 4 hours of useable daylight my first impression is really good. DNR presence on site is nice and the park is clean, a lot cleaner than many that I have seen the day after a holiday. Full hook up sites are A1-A5 and C1-C56. Loop B,E,D,F & G are electric only. There are 14 handicap accessible sites in the lettered section of the campgrounds, The playgrounds look to be in good condition (we didn't use them). The shower houses are large and in good repair. Pets are allowed and I'm pleased to say that overall the absence of pet feces is amazing. For those staying in electric only or primitive sites at the dump station there is a tank fill. Water pressure in the C section is about 70psi when we tested it so one shouldn't forget there regulator. As for the dump station there really isn't much innovation, it's a dump station and if you can't smell it from your site it's a great station. Camp store and bait shop, boat launch just down the drive along with (2) more dump stations totaling (3) for the campgrounds. (5) total shower houses and numerous toilets. Over 1/2 the sites are mostly sun but generously spaced.

Service was a little spotty, but they were very busy and it has a relaxed atmosphere, so it was fine. Good crowd of nice people and families, not too snooty or pretentious. I was seated on the outside patio that was so relaxing and had an excellent view of the lake and all of the boats buzzing around on the lake. Boat rentals are available and pretty affordable.

Great trails some are easy and others are very Challenging. Just depends what path you want to go. Giving this place is for muddin' I thought the restrooms looked very nice, can't expect them to be squeaky clean when there's mud everywhere outside. We took Jeep's and RZR's out for a good muddin' time! Enjoyed it very much. Was nice that our group was pretty much the only ones out there, that was probably due to it was freezing outside and it was SuperBowl Sunday, but being there early in the day I figured there'd been more people, but I'm not complaining. We used Top Flight Athletics for my Granddaughter's 6th birthday party. The owner was very nice and…read moreaccommodating. The parties are held indoors at their facility and have several 2 hour packages to choose from. The packages can include a bouncy house, 2 indoor mega slides, a Velcro wall and zip line. I opted for everything except for the Velcro wall. A freebie that's included with the party is a huge pit that is filled with squishy foam blocks. When the kids used the zip line it went directly over the block pit for a soft and fun landing. The facility was clean and large enough for the 15 plus kids that came to the party. They have an area set aside for decorations with plenty of tables. The party was a huge success and all of the kids had a blast. My granddaughter told us that she definitely wanted to have her next birthday party at Top Flight. While the packages are not inexpensive, everything that was included was certainly worth the price.
