Returning on a Sunday afternoon from a long weekend away, we quickly realized that our home was without water. Searching the internet with little hope for weekend assistance, we found an Ad stating that Tri County Drilling and Pump was open 24 hours. Our quest for water brightened as a very polite lady picked up and answered my call. I honestly thought I was going to get an answering machine. This gal took my information and said that a technician would call me back within a few minutes. Here again, I was still apprehensive that help would be available on a weekend and with such short notice. Low-and-behold, my phone rang within 10 minutes and a man named Travis began asking questions about our well pump configuration. Now, I will state that I am a Certified Electronic Technician and have 30 years of component level troubleshooting (repairing TVs, stereos, computers and networks). I explained to Travis that I had already tested the starter capacitor, relay and all voltage levels were proper and I felt that the well pump itself has went bad. Travis asked for directions to our home and said that he would be there within an hour to take a look. We live 10 miles West of Cottonwood and I was shocked to find Travis and his son pulling up in less than 1 hour. After making a few measurements and talking about the components I had already tested, he concurred that the pump was bad. It was then when I became amazed at the service offered... Travis looked at me and asked if 9am tomorrow morning would be OK to begin work. Travis and his crew arrived prepared and after 3.5 hours of hard work, we once again had running water. I have NO complaints, what I do have is WATER!! Travis got right on the issue and diagnosed the likely issue. Discussed the possibilities and let me know what to expect all in terms my wife and I could understand. Once we were ready, Travis and Brian came out and got to it. They are a professional knowledgeable team. Travis gave me unsolicited updates along the way. Once they completed the job they shown me my old pump, pipes and wires...amazing what 18 years in the ground does. Explained what I should expect as to water clearing and so fourth. They thoroughly clean up the job site. Pay time...By the time we got here there was no surprises as Travis did a great job of communication along the way. Oh there was one surprise :) I am retired U.S. Coast Guard so Travis reduced the final bill with a military discount and thanked me for my service. When we moved onto our just purchased property 3 years ago, a leak was discovered in the domestic well system at the pump head. I called Tri-County & 3 men showed up within an hour of my 'help' plea. Fixed the leak and only charged us for one man hour labor plus parts. WOW, what great service!! Three years later, our well is not pumping water like it used to. So, stopped by Tri County's shop and asked that Travis call when he got a chance. Three hours later he was on the phone discussing our problem and the next day he was at our pump, testing and explaining what is going on. Thankfully, the problems are minor - no repairs are needed at this time - BUT, he could have made a big deal out of our situation and made his company a big job for a lot of money. My name is Robert Beller. I live in the Red Bluff area. I was getting several negative findings on the standard Total Coliform & E.coli well water tests needed to enter into Escrow . After trying several different fixes recommended by the testing lab and another well drilling company ,none of these fixes had worked. I was facing yet another expensive fix. I called Tri County Drilling & pump , explained my situation . To my surprise , The next morning the owner showed up , Questioned me on the fixes I have already tried. I am new to the area and my water suddenly stopped running, there were workers working on a property located above my property and I flagged them down thinking they might have shut off the water. A nice gentleman by the name of John came over and looked at the pump and recognized your sticker and informed me that it could either be the pump or a false electrical contact with the wires. These guys are amazing!!!! Our pump went out, we called the company who originally put it in, they came out and Saud we needed a whole new pump (a grand total of around 3500 to 5000 dollars.) Hey also charged us a service xalk fee. Called these guys for a second opinion. It turns out we just needed a new control box a total price if 234 dollars, and there was no service call fee. read more
