Have been a customer for a long time since I own several Cadet products but cannot recommend this company. Never sure I am getting truthful information and suspect they replace parts unnecessarily or reuse parts and charge me for new. Many repairs have required trips back to the shop to " be done right". Husband has stated he will sell his Cadet implements and switch to Deere. read more

I have bought a kids 170 Razer and now have updated to a larger as the kids get older she found me a rzr 200 that everyone else at the state fair and other dealers said we would never get. When we purchased our first polaris very happy, bought the extended warranty. Traded our 21 at another dealer and canceled our extended warranty, told we would get 750.00 back.audrey told us it would take a week. Called a week later was told it's in the mail......week past called again its in the mail....3 weeks later it shows up HOWEVER it was only 400 with a hand written note due to fee this is all I got. I called polaris corporate warranty dept. The gal said you should get 750 and should not be any fees!!!! This started the beginning of July. Corporate said we will get 750 total back. ITS NOW SEPT AND STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY OTHER 348. WHAT kind of business pulls this kind of bullshit???? Took my 1500 to cover te warranty. I see reply from other bad reviews chopper city took over in july....well doesn't seem to help from getting screwed. How will I be compensated for the hours I have spent trying to get what's mine paid??? Piss poor service for sure. I do have dates and times of all the calls and emails .so I'm not making any of it up. read more

There is NO reason to see these clowns in Maple Plain. Extremely rude staff who refused to do work on our Cub Cadet despite being an "official service dealer." Reason? It was the wrong time of year. (Don't most people want their lawn tractors ready to go in the spring - when Tri K says they work on them?) After laughing at me and saying "good luck trying to find someone who will change mower blades in the winter" as I walked away - I went to Jerry's in Edina who immediately said of course - and took the job. read more

We had ordered some non-pulverized dirt to spread around our farm. The dirt that we got should be considered "fill" as it had pieces of a hose, glass, string, large rocks (5-8 inches+ in diameter), clay, large sticks and even a golf ball! We won't order any landscape products from them again - it's not their forte anyways. Don't bother! read more

Brought my Cub Cadet LTX 1045 lawn mower in for repairs because the belt keeps slipping off. This flaw can be found on YouTube showing the repair. The person who wrote up the paperwork wrote this on the work order. Three weeks past with no calls. I called to check on the status. Was told they called and left a voicemail on the 27th. Verified with phone records and no calls or voicemails on any day was received. I was told it was finished on the call. Arrived to pick up the lawnmower and was told around $400 for repairs. I was told they replaced a bent spindle, bent pulley & put on new blades. I asked why I wasn't called to authorize the $400 repair on a $1700 machine. The counter associate called the owner to meet me by the lawnmower as he was the one responsible for work. I asked to see the parts he pulled off the machine and the parts were not the parts from my lawn mower. They were very rusted and the star that holds the blade on was stripped. Mine were not stripped as I just inspected them and replaced one that was stripped. He showed me two extremely rusted blades. The blades on my lawn mower were replace by me two month before. I inspected the parts before I dropped off the machine. I told the owner I though the "used" parts he "replaced" and charged me for were my original parts. He began yelling and got defensive and tried to deflect from my direct questioning. I asked him as owner what his policy was for gaining authorization prior to repairs. He kept looking under the lawn mower and offered no answer. He took the parts that supposedly came off my lawn mower and threw them on the back of the ATV. I took a picture incase it was needed later. He started walking back into the store front so I followed. He told the desk clerk to let me load it up and no charge. He left the building with the paperwork so I couldn't get a copy. It showed he charged me for "used" parts. I would have been happy to pay $100-$150 for the belt slipping repairs as shown on videos on the internet. read more

Tri K Service department saved my weekend trip! Again! I had my new sled all of a sudden having problems before the presidents weekend trip I had with my son, which we needed both of our sleds. I brought my sled in Tuesday night and they called me and had it ready in time to leave Today. I have been snowmobiling for 40+ years and have never found this kind of quick and quality service from a motorsports dealership EVER! Thank You SO Much To Mike and everyone else there, they are the best. Please give them a chance to earn your business, I cant say enough good things about the staff they have in place now, Amazing! read more

Update: I contacted the owner of the place to give him some feedback about what had happened. The situation is that we had purchased a tool from Tri-K (at their recommendation) and it ended up not working. We brought the tool (and the snowmobile part) that we were working on, thinking perhaps we were doing it wrong. We were told that it was the wrong part and we needed to purchase the right part (had we known we would be returning the part we would have brought the receipt). We asked the man who was helping us, Mike, if he would mind taking the part back without a receipt, because we had driven 45 minutes to come to this store. This is when Mike got all huffy and said he didn't want to waste an hour trying to find the price, and when we tried to ask politely if he wouldn't mind (and joked because he's getting paid to do it anyway, lol) this is when he threw the book down and refused to help us any further and got really nasty. At that point the other very kind fellow stepped in and took care of it in about 2 minutes. Back to the point, after we were treated so rudely by Mike, I contacted the owner thinking he would probably like to know if his workers were treating customers like this. He was very prompt in returning my call, and we played phone tag for a week or so before we finally got in touch. I was feeling hopeful that we would be able to go back to Tri-K after this conversation because of his promptness in getting back to me, but the owner was patronizing, scolded me for not bringing the receipt, and got uppity with me when I tried to explain that the reason I was calling was to tell him about his worker's behavior, not about anything to do with the receipt. He told me that he had a meeting with Mike and the whole company and couldn't do anything else about it. Only after a few minutes of this did he finally "apologize" for the whole situation, but it did not feel sincere in the least, and he was still defensive until the very end. Like I said I was hoping to get this issue resolved but I am not interested in going back. read more

GLASS AND DIRT! I had a number of yards of pulverized black dirt delivery to my home. As I spread the dirt, I notice piece after piece after piece of jagged chunks of glass. I happened to find at least a dozen of these pieces of glass littered throughout the dirt. One can be sure that there were many, many more pieces that I was unable to find that are now distributed throughout my lawn. I called and was told in no uncertain terms that I was a liar. EXTREMELY disappointed!!! I have young children that are now supposed to play in the yard littered with random chunks of glass? I ordered black dirt, not black dirt and chunks of glass! Take your money elsewhere! read more

Brought ATV in for tune up 149.99, oil/ filter change listed on services included. On pick up, charged additional 30.00 for oil and filter then 20.00 for shop supplies. When questioned on additional charges, service manager was very rude and abrupt, telling me "if I didn't agree with it, I could take my business elsewhere". I will not return nor recommend any one else for service or new products at Tri-K. read more

Purchased their most expensive black dirt hoping to top dress and reseed some areas of my lawn. Talked with the guy on the phone and confirmed the quality of the black dirt was good enough to plant a garden as well. When the dirt arrived, it turned out to be mostly heavy clay, and the grass never grew properly. I would advise anyone buying black dirt from Tri K to visit first and confirm that what they say they are going to deliver, is actually the quality level you're looking for. read more
