Review #2: I have a…read morecraftsman riding mower that until being serviced by Matt, went without regular maintenance for about 6-7yrs. I used Matt's pick up and delivery option this round and it was so convenient! While the mower was being serviced, my lawn decided to grow the thickest it has grown all summer so, my mower had its work cut out for it when Matt dropped it off. I got a full tune up and carburetor clean and blade replacement from Matt. Once I turned the ignition on, I instantly felt the difference in quality that my riding mower now had compared to before it was serviced. Smoother cutting, less vibration and quicker start up. I'm truly amazed at Matt's craftsmanship and I will be taking my equipment to him as long as he's in business!

Regretfully I didn't go inside to check out the goods, but outside... there was an abundance of flowers, herbs, succulents, plants, small decor and others. Signage for price, clearance (in the back towards alley), and shaded plants were clearly marked. I appreciate that while the staff was kind, they weren't overbearing and allowed you to shop and your pace. I ended up needing advice and found someone who was very helpful. They have shopping carts (I didn't notice baskets), but the space is so tight, I didn't bother using one. As for parking, it's just street parking but I was able to find a spot on the parkway. Anyway, I've passed by so many times and don't know why it took so long to stop in, but glad I finally did.

Then, I asked what type of soil, and they looked up the plant in a database and and gave me a suggestion. I ended up getting my pots, soil, and a new plant (because of course) and they walked me to my car to help me carry everything even though it was cold out. Found a women owned and LGBT hardware a 2 min's drive from my house. I pulled right up, they have street parking, walked in was greeted and assisted, but found my best service from the lady who rung me up. She gave me good information re: plungers. I never knew there was more than 1 type and she explained to me how you know the plunger is actually working and what happens when it doesn't - basically it pushes whatever is clogging the drain further down the pipe. Knowledge to someone who doesn't know these details are very helpful. Anywho, we had good dialogue about the neighborhood and the community had between the businesses in the Seward Hood. Support Jacks's Hardware, btw - Jack's is owners dog! There's a cute pic of him up at the counter. No pic's, as they have a sign saying No cell phones allowed and i wanted to respect their wishes.

These luscious trees all carefully grown locally at TEC Trees owned by retired forestry Prof Carl Vogt ( donated) and the Wolcyn Tree Farm, are EACH carefully HARVESTED by the students who ALSO stand in the freeeezing cold from black friday until they run out, sunday to saturday. Their office is a rented trailer. They are naturally tree experts at trimming roping and attaching them PROPERLY to your car ( no flying missile trees on 694) !! They also sell simple wreaths and evergreen roping! So slip in that xmas CD and enjoy!

The only items with a price tag was hanging baskets and large potted plants I asked the price of a standard 4" pot, sales person had no idea. When I complained to the manager, he said he wasn't happy about the unmarked items. Isn't the job of the manager to make sure everything is ready for the annual Open House? There were metal sign holders in each section. They were blank. I didn't buy my usual amount, because I couldn't figure out how much I was spending.
