I'm only giving these incompetent people 1 star...because I have to in order to give them a review! I have never dealt with such complete incompetence at a business before. I recently moved into a condo...to find that the sink in the kitchen doesn't work properly...and that the rain shower doesn't turn off. So my real estate agent was kind enough to help me out...he called Tri-M Plumbing (he had never used them before) to have a look at the situation. It was a long weekend and not an emergency...so an appointment was made for Wednesday morning. A plumber dropped by...checked everything out...said he would need to order some parts before he could do any work...someone in the office would call to make an appointment. A girl from the office called me later that day to make an appointment for the following week to allow time for the parts to come in...Wednesday between 3 & 5. So the following Wednesday I took the time off of work to be at my house between 3 & 5...no one showed up...so I called to see if they were stuck in traffic or something...they didn't have my appointment in the books (remember they called me to make the appointment!) and my parts weren't in! I was so angry...but seriously...it gets worse! So after an exchange with the office girl about sorry not paying my mortgage when I have to take time off work for their people to be at my place doing the work...I got the old "I'll have my manager call you!" The manager called to say how sorry he was and that he would have someone there the following week to make the repairs and that I would only have to pay for parts...and he PROMISED to make this right. This made me happy because again I was going to have to take 2 hours off of work for them to come do the work. We made the appointment for the following Tuesday between 3 & 5. Tuesday rolls around...around noon I get a call from the office girl to confirm the appointment for later that day...Yay...finally it's all going to get fixed! NOPE!!!!!! About an hour later I get a call from someone else in the office saying that they can't come out to my place to do the repairs because the parts aren't in yet! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS???? I JUST GOT A CONFIRMATION CALL AN HOUR BEFORE FROM YOUR COMPANY! DOES ANYONE THERE KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE??? I asked her if she was joking and was looking around my office for a hidden camera! Seriously...what a joke this company is! So we left the conversation at...the parts aren't in...can we reschedule for next Monday (Seriously....a month has gone by) Same time between 3 & 5. So I'm thinking thank god this will finally get done and I can do some serious cooking...cause right now my kitchen sink spews water in every direction if I wash dishes by hand! NOPE!!!!!! Today I got a text from the Real Estate agent (the person who contacted these imbeciles in the first place) saying that they will no longer be doing the work and I'll have to find someone else! On the morning of the appointment, they called to say an urgent job had just come in and they'd have to cancel my appointment. OK... sure. Rescheduled it for the following week. I had to arrange to get home early from work for this. I waited for 2 hours and they never showed up. I called, and turned out my appointment was never in their books. 1/5 for reliability. 1 extra star because at least they pick up calls and call back when they say they would. read more

Schedule was horrible. They made u wait for a long time and never called back when the plumber could not make it. The charge was way overpriced. The $30 web discount is a joke that they advertise on the website. You want to help local businesses, but this business is ripping people off. I made a mistake calling this business. Don't make a mistake I did. Trust me, find other plumber to do the work. For sure I will in the future and will tell all my friends about it. read more

These guys are scam artists. They were supposed to arrive on Thursday but said an urgent job came up. They rescheduled for Friday but, 2 hours after they were supposed to arrive, said they'd been in a car accident. They rescheduled for Saturday at non-after hours service prices. However, when they arrived on Saturday morning, they told me of various problems in the unit and said they'd require $500 cash before they'd even start work. I promptly kicked them out of my house. I called a different plumber who arrived on Monday, removed a broken garburator, replaced a pipe and left 45mins later. The total bill was $175. read more

Sometimes the honesty of a company is shown when things don't go right. When a worker did not finish the job satisfactorily (the drain was not completely unblocked, as we found out a week later), Tri-M promptly and politely dealt with the matter and gave us a full refund. That, at least, tells me that they generally have pride in their work and will stand behind it. read more

We have been using Tri-M Plumbing for years, due to a plumbing construction situation that we inherited when we bought our home. We tried two other plumbing companies before we luckily discovered Tri-M, and they have been working with us regularly in order to stay ahead of any problems. Their customer service on the phone is excellent, and they are always easy to reach when we need them. An issue came up recently that involved sleuthing and eventually digging into our basement floor, and Dustin from Tri-M was a very knowledgeable and friendly partner. He explained everything to us along the way, he kept everything clean as he worked on the problem, he put up with our dog, and he ultimately gave us a longer-term fix that we can be happy with. read more

I had work done by this company last August. My problem was, when I turned on the faucet in the bathtub, the water came out of the faucet and the shower, even when switched to shower it did the same. I found Tri-M on Facebook and sent a message for a quote appointment. The guy came out and was on time. I was told he would have to replace the entire faucet and it would cost $450.00. maybe I should have got more quotes but I told him OK and we scheduled the appointment for the work. the day of the appointment he didn't show up, I contacted the office and was told that the appointment wasn't in the book. I wasn't very impressed with that. The office called me back and told me he would be there shortly. he arrived and did the work, I paid him. A little expensive but all was working OK. Well I'm not sure what their work guarantee is but now the bathtub faucet and shower are doing the same thing. I notice that they no longer have a Facebook page, could that be an omen?? I'm going to call them to see if they guarantee their work for a year, if they don't I'll call a different company. read more

They have a coupon for $50 off on drainage repair. When they quoted, they said, $200. When you say you have the coupon, they say, "Oh, that is after the $50 discount". Basically ignoring the coupon. 2nd, the same work last year with Rotor Rooter was only $130. I had to do it to keep tenants happy, but I am a very unhappy customer and want to warn others against this disreputable company. Use others. Fair warning. I won't use them again. read more

I phoned this company today to request an hourly charge-out rate to which the receptionist glibly replied that a plumber would come to the house for free and assess the job, and that the office staff could not say what it might cost. It transpires that the callout rate is a minimum of $149.00 for the first hour plus another $10 for a fuel S/C, which means a first hour minimum charge of $159.00 regardless of the job itself. Am disappointed that a reputable plumbing company would resort to such tactics and not be totally upfront so as to inform caller/would be clients of what the first hourly rate is right from the get-go! I guess they figure that once inside the door, it's almost a slam dunk the customer will hire their services. BTW No mention was made of the $10 extra fuel s/c until I checked the bill after the plumber had left......after a 15 minute job!! The work was good, but not the shoddy sales pitch of the office staff or the fact the plumber failed to mention the fuel s/c!! read more
