We built a small condo in Rio Paseo in Goodyear, AZ. We like that the community is Leed certified, it is so important to go green these days more than ever before. Our condo is very tight and you don't hear outside noise. We have built a new home in Goodyear before and are familiar with builders displays and the price they post on the sign and realize that we would be upgrading and paying a higher price for flooring. We were very happy with the standard cabinet choices and the standard granite choice turned out beautiful in the kitchen. From meeting with Frank our salesman to Kevin our construction manager to Tina who was our home contact person after the condo was finished we had excellent communications throughout the whole process. We would build with Maracay again, they had a professional and efficient team to work with. Since we just moved in on Feb. 29, 2020 we will be interested in their follow-up and any problems that come up, but so far so good. read more

Maracay homes have some beautiful floor plans.However many families are frustrated with their TERRIBLE warranty service. They don't appear to honor what they produce. I've actually built 3 brand new homes in the master-planned community of Eastmark and checked out all 11 builders before I chose any to build. One of them was Maracay and now all three have been completed. Maracay was by far the best in customer service, quality and timeliness. I'm the original owner, and my house was built between 2013 and 2014. We moved in on February of 2014. Maracay home warranty came out on 3 different occasions to attempt to fix the roof leak during the 2 year home warranty, they never did the job right. So after less then 7 years, I'm having to fix it out of pocket. I did call last year in late 2019 to again bring to Maracay's attention, that again the roof leaked in the same area as the previous 3 times. They sent a roof inspector to again tell me that the home warranty was only for 2 years and that a repair would be at my cost. Really! I seldom write reviews on any forum, but I'm writing this as I need to warn potential buyers to be aware of the shady, unreliable work that Maracay contracts out and they refuse to take responsibility of the poor workmanship. I live in a community in Goodyear, Arizona, and numerous home owners have had to have roof repairs with less time in their homes then I have in mine, all for roof leaks. I've always wanted a Maracay home prior to my original home built in 2001 by ENGLE Homes, but now regret having purchased this one. I would not recommend a Maracay home at all. The roof company repairing my roof today, tells me the paper and roof tiles were not placed properly and in some spots have no tile, or very little paper/underlayment where the water runs right underneath the rest of the tiles and is cause the roof leaks. So if you would like the cost of repairing your roof in less time then we in this community have had to, go ahead and buy, but if you're wise, you would run away and choose another builder and not purchase a home from Maracay. read more

Maracay Homes proved to be a professional builder from beginning to end while constructing our home in Marathon Ranch Gilbert AZ. From the time we arrived on site we were treated with respect and the sales team listened to our desires and help identify the floor plan that best fit our lifestyle. The design team in Scottsdale had great vision and ability to assist to ensure the styles desired would provide the long term look we were after. Being out of state the construction team communicated weekly and kept us updated on the status of our home. The walk through was performed in great detail without any sense of rush and worked with us on any items that were identified - ultimately these were repaired timely and efficiently by the warranty team. We have been through this experience a handful of times and there is no question that working with Maracay provided the best experience. read more

Congratulations to Damon Sanabria, (the sales rep for Maracay Homes, Pathfinder South at Spur Cross) for being the absolute worst sales representative I have dealt with in my entire life. Yeah I'm talking yelling and screaming, dropping F bombs, calling us d*cks. The whole 9 yards. All because we weren't aware that we were supposed to be wearing masks. We were more than happy to put them on, and did right away. Our city isn't enforcing mask usage and there were no signs up informing us of their mask rule at the entrance we came through. He told my husband to go F himself after asking for his bosses name. I'm so appalled by this behavior by another human, especially a sales person!! I'm so embarrassed for Maracay homes, and that he is representing them so poorly. My father in law actually just bought a flight to come see these houses and now we just don't know what to do, or how to continue. We love the houses but never want to deal with such a despicable human being ever again. If corporate is reading this, please reconsider keeping someone like this employed. A very pleasant experience. That's the best way to describe the recent purchase of our new Maracay home in Victory at Verrado. We've purchased several homes in the past but I don't think I could label any of those low stress and pleasant. Our new home sales contact, Natasha Hilderbrand was simply amazing to work with. She has a very high degree of category knowledge and especially with the Maracay brand. That combined with her endless energy and fun personality really helped us work through the choices and decide on our home. As we were relocating from out of the area and would spend minimal time on site while our new home construction was completed, we depended heavily on the team of Natasha and Construction Manager Kevin Macumber to keep us updated with details, progress and choices. We set up a regular schedule of phone conversations and were sent pictures on a regular basis. This really helped to minimize our stress level. Since we were relocating, we were not familiar with other local resources we would need to get set up in our new home. They were very gracious and went out of their way to help with options and contacts for that as well. They were both there with and for us all the way from "decision day" all the way to "key day" and beyond. Thank you very much for representing Maracay so well and helping us so much. read more

We have been in our Maracay home at the Enclave at the Meadows community in North Peoria, since August, 2018. This was our 3rd new home build in Arizona, and it was by far, our very best experience. We're so glad we looked around at other communities before making our decision. Having come from construction families in Chicago; we immediately saw the quality in the construction, in all stages of the homes under construction in the Meadows community. The sales staff and financing department were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with; but when it came down to it, our direct communication was with our Construction Project Manager Dan, on a regular, if not daily basis - simply because we were there, watching progress, and asking questions. Dan never made us feel like we were in the way; and in fact, went out of his way to take care of anything we asked him to change or fix during all stages of construction, no matter how major, or minor it was. Dan's attention to detail ensured that all of the stages of our new home build, came to fruition with favorable outcomes, professionalism, and extended courtesies. Because of that, our warranty issues have been very minor, but all of them received with steadfast concern and resolve. Maracay's construction quality is outstanding; and is overseen by highly qualified Project Managers that take pride in bringing the master plan of the community to fruition, while ensuring safe and clean construction environments. I would highly recommend Maracay as your new home builder! I would definitely choose them again as my new home builder; but I love my home in the Meadows, and hope to be here for a very long time! read more

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO BUY A MARACAY HOME. If you plan to purchase their upgrades, don't expect the same quality you'll find in the model homes. These likely were different subcontractors. And don't expect Maracay to stand behind the quality of their product. If they think "it's good enough," they expect it to be good enough for you. Get a third opinion - they don't care. We purchased a home a year ago. Purchased the smooth wall finish for an additional $20k upcharge. DO NOT GET THIS. Their sheetrock subcontractors MUST USE texture to hide all the imperfections. In Arizona you'll mostly find textured walls cause the subs here do not want to spend the time making a smooth surface like they do in most of the country. They are not capable of providing a quality wall here in AZ. Maracay will go through your final walk-through and pretend not to see all the imperfections. Maracay acts like if you don't see it, we don't see it (they don't do the right thing and make repairs proactively). If you want a high-quality home, there are many other quality home builders in the Valley that provide a far more superior home (T.W. Lewis and Toll Brothers are the ones we've used in the past). We've built 6 different homes over the last 20 years and this was, by far, the worst experience with a company that seemed more interested in getting the next home started rather than providing a quality product and standing behind it. Also, everyone should check your home's insulation. They missed half the home during the install (not sure how this happens? You blow fiberglass insulation into half the home attic and totally forget the other half by accident?) and then didn't catch it again during their final inspection. Oops! Our bad. If they forgot to blow insulation in the attic of half the home and missed it later a second time, what other smaller, unnoticeable issues do you think they'll overlook? We've found a lot of them and I'm guessing you will too. And anytime you complain about a "cosmetic" issue, they tell you that the subcontractor says that's the best they can do and that's good enough for them. Even if their model home has better. They use their warranty chain to kill time while your warranty runs out. They'll tell you to wait until the end so you have time to search for more stuff. They do this because they know many people will let things slide. Always get stuff fixed immediately after finding it. The company also has a ton of turn over, so it's likely that the salesperson, the construction manager, even the subcontractors will change in the middle of your project. This always leads to confusion, as nobody passes on previous information discussed. We had multiple items overlooked throughout our project. If this was one single issue, I never would have spent the time to write this review. This is actually the first review that I've ever written. Please think twice about using Maracay Homes. I'm amazed when I find individuals or companies that lie for their financial benefit. I'm an educated medical professional and this would be considered malpractice in my field. read more

I was interested in a home to purchase within CA, but I found the prices were just a bit too high. I was pre-approved in CA also for a loan. You do know that there is a credit check with a pre-approval. Well, I went to AZ to purchase a home, but I had one problem. My loan was not approved out of the state of CA. I then went to another place for pre-approval. And received another ding on my credit report. I went to Maracay homes to purchase a brand new home. The person who I was dealing with, Frank, of Maracay homes when he asked me if I had been pre-approved yet. I said yes, and he mentioned his company's finance, and I said I was not interested due to I already have two dings on my credit and I don't need or want another. He then said ok what would you like to do now. I said I would like to buy this home that I pointed out and gave a security deposit of 2500 right then. We moved forward, and to my understanding, the home was to be mine after the contract was signed. Well, five days later after playing around. Like them trying to find another buyer of the home I just put a deposit down. I received a phone call from Frank. He said You are to use our pre-approval program or else you can not buy this home. I said we discussed this problem with my credit report and having all these dings on my credit already, and most of all you did NOT tell me this before I put my deposit in of 2500 days ago. He gave me the run around BS and said take it or leave it. Wow Just like that ha. I said we agreed no more dings. Nice people ha? read more

Here's our review of the 7 month process from first contact to move in: "Each phase of our home purchasing experience was equally spectacular. SALES had a zero pressure atmosphere and lots of knowledge as to the homes and options. Nicolle and Cindy (Deseo) always answered questions and provide information in an extremely fast manner. You could TRUST them and know that they truly had your best interest in mind at all times. Everything we asked them to follow up on they did and without hesitation. We just cant possibly compliment them enough. The DESIGN CENTER was the easiest experience thanks to Jessica Saenz. She was very patient, extremely tuned in to our tastes and rapidly provided samples and solutions. Her work was dead on exact and extremely meticulous. The CONSTRUCTION PHASE was truly a stress free process. Todd was always on top of every aspect from ground breaking to key turn over. He delivered an awesome product and his intern Tanner was equally impressive. The LOAN AND CLOSING processes were also painless. Stacy at Tripoint Connect along with Cindy at escrow /closing stayed on top of every document, every due date, everything. Just an awesome turnkey process with zero issues. As we are going through our 1 year break in, we are working off issues as they arise with Alex in CUSTOMER CARE and again, it's a truly easy process with great back and forth communication and follow up. read more

If buying a home from a builder that covers up their mistakes, attempts to talk you out of warranty requests, lacks quality control standards, blames their subs for any and all building mistakes and doesn't take any responsibility for them then this is the builder for you. From the unknowledgeable design center; to the 3 different superintendents that were unavailable and cover up artists; to the 3 different customer service warranty representatives that would try to convince us to live with the mistakes before attempting to fix them (there's a reason for high employee turnover), our entire experience has been atrocious.
