They accepted my booking on short notice for emergency cleaning of basement carpet and tile floor…read moreafter water main break affected finished basement. Reasonable price. Adding small tiled bathroom floor on another level was $60 extra but ended up costing me $350 beyond that when they knocked over tray of toiletries; they missed picking up my brand new night guard which was likely sucked up with their cleaning hose. I didn't notice til hours later -- too late to check their discharge bucket. Did nothing to cover their shoes, nor clean as they exited leaving wet footprints on waxed wood floors and just-cleaned tile floor. I had to damp-mop again after their cleaning. Did not clean carpeted stairs, which needed it even more after their soapy, wet shoes and hose left residue. I don't know if they are capable of being more careful and thorough if more advance scheduling is done. Still, they were very good to fit me in for emergency situation -- though rushed as they had other bookings. The carpet area dried well with my own blower on it for 24 hours. Cleaning that right away was my main concern.

I want to clarify that in no way was I disappointed in Billy. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He was at my home within an hour of my phone call, thoroughly evaluated my situation, and with ease unclogged my drain. My issue was never with the service that Billy provided. My issue was and still remains an issue with standardized, blind pricing from Roto-Rooter and throughout the plumbing industry. While I understand, every situation is different and a true quote cannot be given until the issue is evaluated by a professional, the fact that Roto-Rooter uses standardized, flat rate pricing I believe that some sort of transparency could and should be made available during the initial phone call or even on their website. During our conversation I was informed that Roto Rooter uses a standard flat rate pricing system. I was also told that discussions about pricing occur almost on a daily basis with customers just as shocked as I was. I personally feel if this same issue is repeatedly raised that it seems like an opportunity for corporate leadership to improve transparency and set clearer expectations for the customers before the technician arrives. Especially since, as in my case many of us are calling in duress over an unexpected repair. I believe this would build consumer confidence, strengthen trust, and ultimately build customer loyalty. Once again. Thank you Billy for your service. Thank you to RR for taking the time to address my concerns. Now, it's time for corporate to incorporate a few changes of their own.

No drama, just calm, reassuring professionalism. I felt I was working with someone who knew what they were doing and really had my best interest in mind. What really impressed me most is that he really loves his job and that is a very rare find these days. Joe is a true professional that I will ask for on any future plumbing projects. Oh, and no, I'm not related. Ask for him to oversee your next plumbing project and see for yourself, he's the real deal!! Charles Mayer

Where do I even begin? I had called ServiceMaster the end of December 2025 because I had a leak in…read moremy upstairs bedroom down into my dining room caused by an old roof. The new roof was installed back in November 2025 by a different company, all went well. I had ServiceMaster come in the beginning of January 2026 to do the demolition of the bedroom and dining room walls and hardwood floors that were ruined by the leak. The walls are torn down to the brick on the outside of my hoe, and the hardwood floors are ripped up with nails sticking out everywhere. It is freezing in my home, as the walls are stripped down to the outside brick. They came in with the understanding that they were doing all the repair work, and restoration. They explained everything to me that they would do the demolition, take pictures of the demolished areas, and submit it to my insurance company, get the money needed, and begin all the repair and restorations. they made it all sound very easy. I have called them since the beginning of January after the demolition was completed. I have been calling for 2 months now, weekly to get updates. Every single time I call I get the same story "Yes, we have to get the photos together, submit them to your insurance company with the estimate, and get the approvals and funds. We have just been so busy with all the other flooding, pipes bursting, and winter related problems, we are working on it, but have not had the time because we are so busy". I know they are busy, I know they have had emergencies, but it is absolutely unreasonable and not acceptable to think a customer will wait 2 months for help. I have heard this since the beginning of January, same excuse. I have had to call weekly and get an update because NOBODY has contacted me at all. NOBODY has reached out, followed up, called me to let me know what's happening. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER. Each time I have called since January, I am getting the same answer. The fact is, that I am also a customer. I know they are busy. But, I am also a customer. A customer that has been waiting for 2 months for ANYBODY to contact me, and move this forward, get started, do something, anything. My home remains without walls, the hardwood floors stripped apart with nails sticking up, the ceiling in the dining room is 1/2 gone as well. I have yet to hear a response from them. When I called about 10 days ago, I got the same answer "we are so busy, etc, etc". Yeah, busy. But again, I am also a customer. A customer that has been waiting for 2 months now. As a nurse, I cannot imagine making a patient of mine wait 2 months for help. This is completely unacceptable. I leave a customer for 2 months with the walls stripped out down to the brick outside, the hardwood floors gone, nails sticking up causing a possible injury, and most of all....no answers when I call is terrible. When I called a few weeks ago, a woman answered the phone and said to me "oh we are busy, maybe you should fid a different company". That is no way to conduct business, and is something that should never be said to a customer, who already had an agreement that work was to be completed. So, needless to say....today I am going with another company. If I could give ServiceMaster 0 stars I would. Their communication, follow through, and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Do not believe them when they say they will help. Do not trust them when they say they will complete a project. They apparently just wanted the money for the demolition and never had the expectation to come back to help me. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time with the ServiceMaster Feasterville PA location.
