I was in there for anorexia, so I started eating the first day I was there so I would get to go home after the three-day holding period. They still kept me in there for six days and suggested longer. There were so many other things that happened to me in there, and I still get horrible flashbacks from there to this day.

You paid just kind of brush me off and was being very rude when I left it was giggles and laughter. I have no idea if he went to school for medicine or data entry, because he was bad at both! Hunched over his keyboard, staring at the screen, and typing with two fingers. The only time he looked at me was to say, "I can't do that," or, "Don't ask me that." I wanted to establish care with a primary care physician. I've tried to make a lot of appointments with psychiatrists over the past three months, and they kept getting cancelled. (I also had to keep calling another PCP multiple times for over a week to send in a referral--but that's another story). So my medications are running out. I wanted refills on my prescriptions. I'm on lamotrigine and citalopram, and I didn't want to have to experience withdrawal symptoms. He looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for refills. He kept repeating, "I don't know anything about psychiatry. Don't ask me. Ask a psychiatrist." And when I explained that I have been trying my best to do exactly that, he shook his head and said, "This should have been done earlier." When I asked what withdrawal symptoms I should expect, since he wasn't going to refill my medications, I watched text be generated across the screen. I asked where that information was coming from, and he looked at me in horror that I'd seen his screen. I asked again; he didn't answer. I said, "I've had a doctor use AI before, and the information was incorrect." He confirmed that it was AI, but it was "for doctors." I told him that hers was, too. He dismissed me and said, "The information comes from somewhere." I explained that the information was not fact checked from a reliable source, and he said that some medical textbooks aren't, either. Honestly, all I can type about that is :/ Then he changed his mind and said he would prescribe me citalopram. I experience a lot of joint pain, so I asked for a referral to occupational therapy. He said he could only do physical therapy. I explained that in the past, I've had a doctor refer me to PT, only for them to cancel my appointment because the referral needed to be for OT specifically. He looked at his screen and said that he couldn't because it wasn't in the system. He was scrolling through a drop down list. So I asked that if they tell me I need an OT referral, would he call on my behalf, send an email, or fax anything, he shook his head in disgust and said that because it wasn't in the system, he couldn't. Because it wasn't an option in a drop down menu. He also kept asking over and over again what I wanted help with, as if he couldn't remember. Like I said, I've seen a lot of bad doctors. It sucks how little PCPs seem to care about people. I feel like I need a sign on my forehead saying, "I am not a series of checkboxes." If you're thinking of seeing this actual, literal quack, please do not. It's only a matter of time before you'll have to sue him for malpractice.
