I decided to try a new local barber because it had been difficult getting a hold of my usual barber. Niko provided a great experience from a customer-service perspective. He genuinely tries to get to know you by asking questions during the haircut. Before getting started, he also asks what kind of cut you're looking for and repeats it back to make sure he understands. I told him I wanted a simple mid taper and specifically said nothing off the top. I already had my previous mid taper outlined from my regular barber, so I thought it would be a straightforward cut. After Niko finished, he handed me the mirror to see the final result. I was immediately shocked by how high he went with the taper in the back and how short the top had become. At the time, I didn't realize just how much had been taken off the top. It wasn't until I got home and washed my hair that I could really see how much had been cut. I understand that barbers have their own recommendations and may have suggestions for improving a haircut. However, if a barber believes taking a significant amount off the top is necessary, I feel the customer should be told before that hair is cut--especially when the customer specifically says they don't want anything taken off the top. Niko was friendly and provided good customer service, but unfortunately, the haircut itself was not what I asked for. I'm now left waiting months for my hair to grow back to where it was.

I've been looking for a barber who can cut and style my teenage son's long hair and still have it look masculine. I got an appointment with Julian. He's pleasant and listens to your wants.
