Pete has such a calming presence that my kiddos felt extremely comfortable. My youngest has never sat in the chair by himself, he's usually sitting on my lap and crying, however Pete was so friendly, calm and inviting, that my little one was willing to sit in the chair all by himself. Experience: Walking into the shop for a haircut, I was greeted by Dan and Pete. I had Pete and explained what I am looking for, showed some sample pictures, and asked for recommendations based on my face shape and hair type. Pete was very friendly and understanding, taking time to clarify my asks once in a while during the cutting. We had some small-talk and it took about 20-30 minutes total. Only issue was that at the time, I didn't catch the fact my back hairline was a little slanted, and had to fix it myself when I got home. "Barber shop is closed, but for you it's open!" That's right, I got a haircut while the barber shop was closed! I came by on a weekday early, not realizing the shop was closed for maintenance. Several men were inside cleaning and sanitizing the shop. When Pete saw that I wanted a haircut he said, "No problem we'll open the shop for you." Wow that's what I call service! Thank you so much Pete and Dan for making my boys look so handsome! A great fade with a couple lightning bolts made my 11 year old feel like a superhero and my 14 year old has a clean cut with longer hair on top to style just the way he likes. My teen son wanted a haircut for hoco and we decided to try Dublin Corner's. Glad we did! The shop is a typical old fashioned barber shop with no frill. Haircut price is $27, pretty decent for this area. The whole process was seamless. Walked in, waited to get called (lucky we got Dan), hop in and out of the chair in 20 min. Oh boy... Horrible haircut, took too long, cost too much...major bummer. After asking old guy to fix the first attempt, I asked him again to clean up the mess that was made of my lettuce. Pete was fantastic and took great care of me. I was recently laid up and I needed a bit of accommodation and was happy to help. I got a great shave and a hair cut. While I was waiting I noticed a guy reading Automobil magazine. Usually, car guys are cool and easy to talk to. On top of that, he was wearing a GT350 teeshirt. We hit it off and had a great conversation. It's always nice meeting someone with a shared passion. In other words, this was the quintessential barbershop experience. I would have given it no stars but had to give one in order to write a review. Absolutely the worst haircut ever. I took my youngest son to get a cut a few weeks ago. An older gentleman, owner of place cut his hair. I specifically stated that I wanted him to use scissors instead of clippers. In fact I told him twice. He proceeds to use clippers and chops son's hair off. Gave in a buzz cut. Haircut was uneven, messing, strains of hair hanging from both of son's ears and was not patient with child. The gentleman's hands were shaky when cutting hair. I was afraid he was going to cut son's skin. He also didn't hear well as I had to repeat myself multiple times. I went to this place for the name, an old school barber shop as these places are fading away. It was my mistake. I will never step foot on this establishment again. Dublin Corner's Barber shop is open again! I was lucky enough to arrive at 9:30 on a Tuesday morning and was able to walk right in and have Pete cut my very shaggy mop of hair. Pete always does a great job and is a pleasure to talk to. The older guy has all my respect, He is experienced but now he's too old to do this type of work, he's all shaky and can hardly get around the chair, he gave me a few cut on my neck and behind my ear and the hair cur is not that good, I would not give him another chance, I might try the other guy giving me a hair cut but definitely not the older guy, like I said hats off to him for being almost 90 yrs old and still working but I don't wanna get a messy hair cut and cuts on my neck. read more

Walking into this place, I felt like I stumbled into a barber shop from about 1972. This is exactly the kind of place one goes to get no hassle haircut and shave. I mean, the fixtures and floors even look like they were when the place was built. If you're looking for fancy or exciting, this isn't it. And don't expect political correctness here - thank God! It's a refreshing getaway. It's the kind of place your Dad might have taken you, and the place you want to take your son. The Colonel took about 45-60 minutes to do a regular haircut and straightedge shave. Throughout the process, he kept making jokes and conversation.
