I am only giving this a 2 because the Doctors and a FEW of the staff is good. HOWEVER on the glasses side of the office, the 2 that work there male and female are BOTH arrogant and do NOT listen to the customer WHO is buying the glasses. The FEMALE when I asked her a few questions threw in my face I have been here 25 years I KNOW. The male when we were having to order the glasses for a SECOND time had made up his mind what I needed when he NEVER meet me before and my daughter was trying to explain what we do for a living. It was like she was NOT there to him. The first time we order the glasses they came within a week but I was NEVER asked by miss 25 years to test them out to see if I could see or not and I had several other appointments to go to, After a couple of days TRYING them that is when I saw that a WALMART $20 pair was 100 times better than these, I called and left a message and after 2 hrs no one called me, So I called back and the lady in the glass section answered that is when she pulled the 25 yrs crap.I was neverl explained to that LINE bifocal lense would not go to the edge, I have had them BEFORE and they DID. But here ARROGANCE was really shining through. I complained and all I got was to reschedule the appointment. I asked to speak to the office manager right after the older eye doctor checked the lens prescription was a little off. When we told the office manager she told us they have had to talk to them before, evidently they have NO FEAR on how they treat the patient. When we talked to the male with the NEW lens order he did NOT really want to listen to us. This was right before Christmas, When we have NOT gotten the blasses well into the NEW YEAR I called and i was told another 7 to 14 days so what took about a week before was now going to take a MONTH. No explanation NO apology. So I had to go another month without seeing!!! I called the office manager again to find out was up and THEN I got the truth, the people that made them SCREWED them up for a second time and had to remake them AGAIN. The folks in the glass side new this and NO CALL NO APOLOGY. When I FINALLY got the glasses today the EYE DOCTOR receptionist waited on me. and the ones in the glass side there was both the male and female with ONLY one customer, I guess I was NOT important enough to bring to me, CHECK the fit, CHECK the lens and MAYBE an apology for it taking so long. If you need a good EYE Doctor they are GOOD, if they order glasses or contacts for YOU, AVOID this side of the office. You will not only be TREATED better but same some money and if they screw up you might get a little something for incovenience . My total cost before issurance for ONE pair of lineless biofocals was $928 and my cost was $502.40. If I had went to Visionworks I could have gotten TWO pairs for a little more AND i would have gottent hem WITHIN a week. read more

Not a tremendous selection but wonderful serous, and my glasses came for days sooner than expected. I have a hard to prescribe eye with a taste type of RP so I have to go to am outside doctor. These people had no problem making only the glasses. read more

Just a great practice from the front desk to the doctor, everyone was very accommodating and helpful. I called a few days later to order contacts and they were very helpful in calling my insurance company and getting me my benefits. Speaking of my contacts, Dr. Gilliam adjusted them and they feel great and I see great! He was so nice and very skilled. read more

I always have great experiences at this office. I have found the front desk staff to be helpful and knowledgable and I love the detail of the doctor examinations. My kids enjoy coming for their visits as well. Location is convenient and hours of operation. Great Office, I highly recommend them! read more

These folks are the absolute best at what they do. From the front desk, all the way through, the experience is fantastic. I had to go to another eye doctor last year because my company switched insurance. It was the exact opposite experience. The front desk, and insurance folks were the worst I had ever dealt with. Had to make 2 trips because of them. The eye doctor was okay, but I found out 12 short months later that my prescription was WRONG. I knew there was something amiss, because my eyes were always so tired. Back at Triad Eye Associates, they got me fixed with the right prescription, and although it was a costly lesson, I will never go anywhere else other than Triad Eye Associates. I know this review is going to sound like I work there or something, but having been to several eye doctors in HP and GSO, these people are so good, I want to let everyone know. The glasses prices are the same as anywhere else (expensive), but the service after the sale is impeccable. I took in my 5 year old, broken down sunglasses I got there, and they fixed them right up. Normally I would leave a positive feedback but this customer service was unacceptable. I made an appointment several weeks prior my visit, I made sure that the space is available and surely on the date of my appointment they made me wait for about 30 minutes, so poor time management and not recommending them. Thankfully, more available in the triad. read more

I have been a patient for Triad Eye Care at High Point and Greensboro for many years and have found the entire staff at both offices to be very professional, courteous and friendly. The ladies at the reception desks were always helpful in scheduling appointments, acknowledging my presence as I entered the office, and processing my insurance claims. The optometrists (Drs. Hutto) were thorough and exhibited concern (great bedside manner) while conducting the examinations. The opticians (Toby and Doc) are the best - they make great suggestions as to the most flattering and practical glasses to purchase. These offices will always have our family's business. I recommend Triad Eye Care to everyone wishing the best of eye care. read more

I don't know what happened to this place between the 2011 and 2012 - but I had the complete opposite experience. The front desk is unorganized and unhelpful. They originally told me they didn't order my contacts. Then they called back the next day to tell me they found them. Their hours of service are terrible for anyone who works. It's truly unfortunate, because my children and I really like Dr. Gilliam. read more

The office staff was rude and unhelpful. The other girls were rude. I was in tears when I left.

I have been going to Triad Eye Associates for several years and have always received star treatment. It's a wonderful experience from check-in to glasses selection. The girls at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. The assistants who help you before you see the doctor are wonderful. I have seen both Dr. Rick Gilliam and Dr. Neil Hutto and have always been very happy. I had to go to another eye doctor about 10 months ago because the vision insurance I had at the time was only accepted at one retail chain. I went to Triad Eye for the exam and to get my prescription, and then went to this other place for my frames. Not only did this "other place" NOT put the Crizal I requested on my sunglasses, but my progressive prescription in my glasses was off in the lens and they never got it right. It was a costly lesson that I should have just paid out of pocket to get my glasses from Triad Eye to start with. Toby is great for helping you pick frames for your face shape and size, and he ALWAYS gets the progressive right in the lens. I will never go anywhere else!! read more

They are the worst when it comes to how they treat kids with Medicaid. They rescheduled appointments with all 3 of my kids atleast 1 time each. This is totally inconvenient. The first reschedule was with my daughter... It was rescheduled for a whole month after original appointment, because they had doctors change hours. The second time was when they called and changed the time of the day for my daughter. The 3rd reschedule was with my son that was in school and needed afternoon appointment... they called the day before and had to see him in the morning due to a doctor not being there that afternoon... um not cool. I took him and he had to miss some school. Now, his appointment had been scheduled for months before. My 3rd issue with appointments was when I called to cancel an appointment for my younger son because I had misplaced his insurance card... I was told to call and set up appointment when I found card. I called back 4-5 days to reschedule appointment and talked with a very rude receptionist on the phone that said they wouldn't set him up an appointment til I brought them his insurance card. My family has been going there for 7 years and I think we will find a new Eye place to go. Medicaid can be verified by looking it up on computer.... Not Rocket Science! They could have chosen to reschedule appointment, knowing that I did the right thing by calling several days before appointment to tell them I misplaced card and needed to find it, but they chose to be nasty about it....
