Keep in mind, I expect complete professionalism, patience, and inclusion in my care. I am hypervigilant about cleanliness and kindness to preserve my physical and emotional well-being and that of others. Therefore, I pay attention to EVERYTHING. Lol From the moment they open their doors, this office is busy with patients. I am sure this is because it is one of the few surgery centers around that accepts many forms of insurance, including Medicaid. Despite how busy this office appears, the lobby was clean and orderly, and the ambiance was as nice as any regular dental or medical office. It is in a well-appointed, modern building, with technology for scans and viewing. However, it could use a larger waiting room (since many patients were waiting along with me). There was a TV for viewing and reading materials. The patient room was clean and comfortable, obviously well prepared for the doctor to enter. I mentioned the office being a Surgery Center earlier. I think some people may confuse it with a regular doctor's office when they complain about wait times. This is a center that performs surgical procedures that require anesthesia and precision. If you were being treated, I am positive you would want the surgeon to take his time with you, too. The office is run professionally and in an organized manner. They even have access for patients to complete all paperwork online before their appointment. They remind you several times by phone and email about your appointment, and the staff are all great during the visit. I had a 12 pm appointment and was called back by 12:45 pm. Dr. Simoncic was a joy to meet. He explained my condition, educated me on the options, and discussed why he would take a less invasive approach for me. He also offered another treatment I had not considered, and I opted into it. I was out of the building by 2:15 pm after scans, seeing the doctor, and a final treatment plan consultation. My experience at Triad Oral Surgery was more than enjoyable, especially given that Dr. Simoncic is currently the only surgeon on staff. That's right. I had 5 teeth extracted and the oral surgeon did an excellent job. I'm now on day three of recovery and healing very well with little to no pain aside from some swelling. The surgeon was skilled and made the experience much better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend and return to this doctor. Dr. Stefan J. Simoncic was unprofessional and lacked proper hygiene. Definitely need to invest in proper sanitation training due to him coughing in the fist of his glove and then PROCEEDS to go into my mouth and also did NOT have a mask on and exhaled into my mouth... I don't usually leave reviews or complain so if i'm writing this, that says something. Let's do a positive to shed some light!! My daughter was seen yesterday to have wisdom teeth out (plus 3 more removed ). The wait was like 3- 3.5 hrs, however, lemme tell ya....it was WELL WORTH IT!! This is what she says...the nurses were extremely good to her. The dr HIMSELF rubbed her head and reassured her it was gonna be ok, and she was ok. THAT alone melts my heart as her mother!!! So compassionate! That really helped her anxiety. Now, the wait....their was a complication with another patient. Some were getting impatient, including me honestly, however patience is a virtue. My nephew arrived 15min prior to appointment time of 10am. They took x-rays and he waited in waiting room for 2 hours before he was called back. Drivers were forced to sit outside. My sister drove him. She is diabetic, and sugar got dangerously low. The surgeon's office has a sign that states wait times are 2-4 hours, but drivers must stay the entire time. This info should have been given prior to the day of surgery, so patients can prepare. After putting in his IV, he waited another 1hr 45min. When the doctor came in, he was rushed and did not speak to his patient at all. Did not introduce himself or give my nephew any idea that he was being put to sleep. He had no opportunity to ask questions, at all. This caused my nephew to be very upset after the surgery was performed. They only prescribed Ibuprofen for surgical removal of wisdom teeth (I can't even imagine) and said nothing to him before sending him home. They sent his prescription to the wrong pharmacy, which caused my sister to drive even further before getting the two of them home. One who is severely disabled and one who just had surgery for the FIRST time and felt completely traumatized. My sister said it felt like a tooth factory or something, they way they treated their patients. They told my sister they only had one doctor available that day. This may be one of the only places that accepts Medicaid, but there's no excuse for treating patients this way or overbooking patients. I was seen and they extracted all of my teeth at once and I was 25 years old. The immediate denture wouldn't fit so they threw in my lap, and they wheeled me out. Nobody discussed mental health or any issues that could come . I promise I can't make this stuff up. Our first appt today at Triad Oral Surgery was originally at 9 am and 2 days ago they text me that it was at noon. So we arrived today at 11:45 am and sat in the car until 4 pm. I went in and nicely asked was Dakota still being seen today or what was the plan for his surgery. The lady said she didn't have any idea and the doctor hadn't started to reachedule. She said if I wanted to reschedule I could but it would be in October. I told her we would wait a little longer. Before I got that sentence all the way out of my mouth they came out and called him back. So at 4:10 pm he was in a room signing paperwork, hooked up to BP machine and pulsox and going over home instructions and got the care package for cleaning to take home. We sat from 4:10 until 5:45 before anyone came back in the room. She had a funny look on her face and called so.eone else over to the room that then came in and told us the doctor would not be able to do the surgery today because he had an emergency at the hospital. I told Dakota in the loudest voice I could to get up and he ripped all the equipment off and I turned and told the other man he better hope he doesn't bill insurance for any of today. He assured me he wouldn't and had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to reschedule. I told him absolutely not....this place is a slaughter house. Then I went to my car and instantly I thought of the fear they put Dakota through 2 different (last month and this month) times. My niece was to have a procedure here, today. I was on the phone with her and her Mother, as I overheard the front desk personnel be rude and dismissive about them having to drive over an hour, just to find out that they did not practice their due diligence with communication with the insurance company. After reading all this review, I near cancelled my daughter's appointment. But thanks God - I didn't. Overall we had great experience ( as we can on oral surgery). My daughter with extremely high anxiety felt there comfortable and treated as a queen . Front office was little to busy and lady behind the desk looked overwhelmed, but she did what she needed to do and was polite . Back office experience was excellent!It started with Jessica who took us back and explained procedures and after care instructions. We met 3 more staff members - before Dr. Stefan Simoncic. Every one was very nice , knowledgeable , I felt that my daughter in good hands of this team. Our appointment was at 10 am we arrived 15 minutes earlier, did all paperwork there , I can't tell how long we was waiting before called back , but we was in a office total about 2.5 hours . I have heard more than one patient state they have been waiting here for more than four hours. I already wasn't feeling well and the dentist interrupted my conversation with the receptionist over the headset and told her if I do not want to wait I will not be able to resch my appointment. DO. NOT. HAVE. ANY. WORK. DONE. AT. THIS. FACILITY. We waited an 2 hrs and 45 minutes to have my daughter's procedure. After she had her IV put in she FAINTED and they went right on with the surgery moments later like it never happened. She was visibly scared and her blood pressure dropped down to 60/40 and no one even made an attempt to comfort her. They kicked me out of the room and went on with the surgery to get her out as fast as they could. After surgically removing *8* teeth, INCLUDING her wisdom teeth, they refused to prescribe any pain medication. I had to call her pediatrician and have them help me advocate for her. Honestly, and with utmost respect, I am not familiar with the work of the entire medical staff - because - I left before any procedures were performed on my cavity. Importantly, the reason I left is because I feel the staff lured me in and obtained a "consultation fee", but didn't tell me the actual procedure fees until I sat in the dental chair. Now, that would have been fine, had I not asked when I made the appointment, for the total costs. Be aware - and this may be the practice of all dental firms - that the quotes rendered to clients at this particular office's check-in are not the same as the ones in the treatment area, AND, there is no payment plan, according to the back billing person. Had a great visit. No complications or issues. Only thing that can be improved is the attitude of the staff out front. They didn't exactly seem so welcoming to a new patient. But it was early so I'll let it slide. Other than that I was in and out of there no issues. Prescriptions were sent in to the pharmacy in a timely manner so no issues there either. I was referred to this practice via my dentist and I had to wait a few months to get an appointment but don't believe all of the bad reviews online. My appointment was at 10am, my husband and I arrived a few minutes before. I recommend doing all of your paperwork online, prior to your appointment. It can all be accessed online via their website. The lady at the front was so lovely and personable. Here are a few things to know before heading to your appointment: make sure your driver has food and drink while you wait, remove all of your jewelry, and if you have nail polish or fake nails, remove them from your index finger.I like to be prepared, so I called and asked ahead of time and asked. The wait may be long, they are a very busy practice. We did wait three hours before I was seen but as soon as Maddie gave me an X-ray, she took me to a room right after. I felt as if all of the staff was very personable and they advised you of everything that was going to happen. The nurse who put in my IV was the best, I didn't even feel him stick me and he had to use my hand(which was my veins fault), The doctor came in soon after with two nurses and they were very nice as well. The doctor talked to me and asked did I have any questions and then we were off to the races! I woke up soon after and I would say it took about 30 minutes, if that. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Just be prepared to wait and I recommend waiting in your car, they will call you when they are ready for you. His first appointment time was changed--not a biggie, but once we got there, we waited over an hour while I was doing paper work, and they were prepping him just to tell us the doctor wasn't even there today. If you value your time save yourself the stress and keep looking! I had a 1pm appt and wasn't taken back till 4pm.... Every time I talked to the front desk they just told me everyone has a 2-4hr wait after check in. I couldn't eat 8hrs leading up to my appt and by the time I was called back I had not eaten for over 15hrs... There were so many people in the waiting room we had to wait the whole afternoon in the parking lot full of other patients waiting. My partner was not notified that my surgery was finished and looked over to the nurse just standing outside the car with me and when he asked about my medication she got frustrated and said she'd call him and went back into the office. We began receiving incorrect bills in Dec 2020 from this practice for what they claim was a "Failed Appointment" , in April of 2019, at another dentist's office in CARY. $420.00. They are claiming we owe them - an office we have no relationship with - $420.00 for a visit we canceled ahead of the appointment date at an entirely different office in an entirely different city. The bill includes a statement claiming that Dr. Stefan Simoncic owned the Cary practice at the time that we went there and that "All Balances Belong to Dr. Stefan Simoncic". I do not recommend this place at all. My sister had an appointment at 2pm was told by receptionist to be there 15 minutes prior to the set appointment time. I wrote a pretty detailed review on Google reviews, but this place was absolutely amazing. I had no issues, I just went 3/24/23. All post op info was gone over during pre op. Everything was explained to me before being sedated. I have no pain other then the expected pain your going to have after having teeth removed. If you don't follow the instructions they give you, you will get a Dr socket or infection. They don't treat medicaid patients badly as I have medicaid and was no treated badly like everyone claims they treat .edicaid patients. If you drink alchol or smoke or drink through a straw aftre tour surgery before you are supposed to that is your own fault if it causes an adverse issue. They even perscribe antibiotics to prevent you from getting an infection along with a special mouth was to help prevent infection. Doctor was amazing, I barley had any pain when I got home. I had 11 teeth removed at one time and I was surprised that the pain wasn't worse. I didn't remember a thing. Nurses was so attentive and very nice. I had no problem getting pain medicine or my antibiotics..I also got some great mouth wash. I'm so excited about getting my new teeth. I have had my share of dental trauma and I know how much is sucks. :( BUT I also have to say that when I took my oldest child to this office for two separate procedures, it all went quite well. He had been very nervous but even to this days how easy they both were looking back. The doctor is direct and not the warmest BUT he took the time to answer my questions without hesitation. And I asked many! He was operating on my kid after-all! He just doesn't have a "take my time friendly guy" manner. The other staff we all very kind and helpful.
