STOP was here within 30 minutes of me calling. They worked quickly with the utmost of professionalism. The project manager, Charlie, was amazing. He kept me abreast of every move they were making. Today, they finally removed the drying machines, and they will return after repairs to put all my furniture back in place. First I had Swat environmental come to my house. The guy was ready to put the monitor in right…read moreaway. No testing anywhere. It's a big basement. 1500sq. Plus another good size maintenance room that had very high levels of radon. Swat said they would only deal with one set up per room. And how ever many collection points that would be needed to get levels right are an additional cost. $250 each I think. I made him do a draw test and there was no draw. He still wanted to install the system and I said why? What for? What's it gonna do? Turns out he was wanting to put his system in where the radon levels were very low. Abe came with his workers and spent over an hour in the basement and maintenance room testing all over to find the concentration areas of radon. I as shocked. Didn't even know that could be done. Needless to say the radon is drawn from my large basement through maintenance room wall for another collection point and then outside it went. It's beautiful. Put together so well. So out of the way. That was probably more that the radon was highest in those ares so lucky. And the extra system Swat told me I would have to have was not true with Abe. This one system does all the work. I tested that maintenance and room the levels are crazy low now. Low everywhere. I can't believe it. I am so so happy that I sent Swat away. Thank you God. I will always call Abe and his crew from here on out.

If you get lower quotes from other firms, make sure you ask if the person who is actually working at your house is certified, not just working for someone else who is certified. Scott Zito was willing to come out to my house and evaluate the situation before giving me an estimate. Zito was very knowledgeable, and i wanted him to do the mitigation. Unfortunately, he was booked up and wouldn't be able to get to our house for a couple weeks. He recommended Abe at The Radon Specialists. Abe presented us with a very thorough proposal, and a guarantee to reduce the radon levels below 4 pCi/L. Abe and his son were very professional, answered all my questions and left the house cleaner than when they arrived. Afterwards they performed a certified test to document that the radon levels had been properly mitigated to safe levels. I highly recommend both Scott and Abe.
