New in town, hard to know how to choose the right dentist. When I called Triangle Family Dentistry on Carpenter Fire Station Road, I spoke to a gentleman who was so assuring that Dr. Smith would be a great match with my particular needs. So first visit Ashley was awesome with my periodontal cleaning ( I get those 4x per year) She was gentle, knowledgeable, kind, professional and efficient! I met my dentist, Matt and asked about a couple crowns. He assured he could do it and today he did, with the assistance of Mia! I believe it was the smoothest crown work I've ever had. I never even felt a needle go in for the numbing. I had a particularly difficult kind of old crown to take off but he was completely confident and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Ashley, Mia, and Matt were very attentive to my neck problems and made sure I was comfortable through both those procedures. The facility itself is just gorgeous. There is a grand of coffee in the lobby. Plus water. Lobby comfy, roomy, and well furnished. Receptionists, check out staff, everyone professional and kind. I am thrilled to have found my dental care providers! Parking is at a premium, but a few more yards to walk is not a big deal! read more

A terrible place. I contacted them suffering from acute tooth pain; they scheduled an appointment, but then ultimately tried--twice--to reschedule it for two weeks later. I simply cannot believe they would treat a patient in acute pain this way. The reception staff couldn't even offer a reasonable alternative time slot; they simply presented me with a *fait accompli*--that they couldn't see me. I chose Triangle Family Dentistry when I first moved here because it was close to my new home. I had not had any cavities for like a decade prior to my visit. The first dentist I saw said I have a filling that needed to be replaced. I got that done, and everything was ok, except it was difficult to floss with the new filling. The next time I started having sharp pains in a tooth, and pointed to the tooth I thought was causing the issue. This dentist said no, it was the tooth behind it that needed a filling. My pain did not go away at all after that filling, and they came up with a list of future procedures that they said I needed to get done. I decided I did not want to go back. I found a new dentist that is covered by my insurance. I went in today for my first appointment, and the dentist showed me a picture of a crack in the tooth that I had originally pointed out at Triangle Family Dentistry and didn't mention anything else I needed to get done. I really feel that TFD was trying to set me up for spending money on procedures that I didn't need, and didn't take care of the issue that I did have, that I pointed out to them. read more

We have been with triangle over 7 years. Along with two children through braces and the same office. When my youngest had his cleaning this year they said 4 cavities ok, schedule appt. Our insurance hasn't changed in that time period. They said wasn't valid. Okay, sent all paperwork again. No responses. Finally call a fourth time and I'm told we aren't in network. Get a call back later that day, oh you are in network. This is over two months now. We went to our other dentist that had no issue with dad's insurance. Go for another checkup. No cavities. So not only did we have to jump through unbelievable hoops to never get insurance corrected ( yet no other office had a problem) totally different diagnosis. Until this year would have given them at least 4, now never again will we go. read more

Since our move to Cary 4 years ago from out of state, we had no idea where to transition our dental care to, especially since Covid was in full swing. We asked our neighbors who they went to and TFD was recommended. They have been terrific. We go every 6 months and we have been impressed with the level of dental care we've received, how clean and up to date their equipment and technology is and a pleasant staff. We have had a few different hygienists and dentists in these past 4 years but mainly Dhora and Nicole. Both are not only very qualified hygienists, but also very nice people too. This past week I personally had Brittany along with her assistant Stephanie and Dr. Smith. All 3 were was very thorough. This made me feel very comfortable knowing that no matter who we may have for our dental services, we know we'll be well taken care of. This practice is HUGE.... it's purely a numbers game, and you are a number. As mentioned in Danielle B's comment, front office staff are the worst to deal with. They simply have no interest in helping you with anything, and are incapable of fulfilling any kind of request! Show up at their office and your appt could have been canceled, even if they didn't contact you. Do yourself a favor and pick another dental practice. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't seem to have an issue collecting funds but when it comes to actual dentistry and customer service, questions, or anything other than the billing department you can not speak to anyone that can accomplish anything. Extremely disappointed! We needed them to send an email and we have called over 10 times. We were told we would receive a call back or left a voicemail. So this dental office I've been using for many years, Triangle Family Dentist - Wake Forest, has decided to drop me as a patient, simply because I was asking questions about their reopening plans. Hard to believe but it's true. I gave them 2 chances to reinstate me as a patient, but they said no. Wow! Just wow! I'm so disappointed with their decision and I told the office manager on the phone today that they made a terrible mistake by dismissing me. To make matters worse, I'm still dealing with a problem molar that they were actively treating when they dismissed me and I told them they might be legally liable for doing that. Even if it's legal, it's unethical and against the Hippocratic oath they took when they became dentists to "do no harm." They've done plenty of harm to me with this decision. read more

I took my 5 yr old to this office a few months ago for a routine cleaning. We relocated to NC and wanted to establish dental care here, and I am so happy that I chose this place. Not only is the location convenient, but the hygienist that he saw was AMAZING!!!!! She took such great care of him and was very patient. My son wasn't afraid but he did have A LOT of questions for her being that he was at a new dental office. She took the time to answer all of his questions and made him feel at ease. I've been going to TFD at Cary Park since April 2015 and am constantly impressed. Dr. Barber always does a great job - she is thorough and constantly double checks her own work. I can honestly say that my hygienist, Parisa, is one of the biggest reasons I enjoy going. She's always so positive, reaffirming, and thorough. She gives me her personal/professional recommendations, which are always backed up by Dr. Barber. There's something to be said for being able to talk openly with your doctors and medical staff... Medical professionals such as these who are knowledgeable, professional, personable, AND those that truly make the effort to connect with you as a person make them SO much easier to trust. I have been going to Triangle Family Dentistry since my family moved from South Florida. They are very professional and clean. I am completely satisfied with the care I receive here. I was in a hurry at my last visit and Caitlyn and Dr. Goins were very respectful of my time. They got me out with plenty of time to make carpool! Caitlyn was also great with my x-rays. Several of the images always trigger my gag reflex and she was patient and understanding. The only reason I am not rating this practice 5 stars is that I don't think I have ever seen the same dentist twice. read more

Triangle Family Dentistry put a partial crown on my tooth 4 years ago. I went back 2-3 times because it didn't feel right and was clearly misaligned with the remaining tooth. I also asked them to check at every 6 month visit because it continued to feel sensitive and off. They insisted every time that the crown was "perfect." I finally switched dentists, and the new dentist immediately and independently noticed all of the problems I'd told Triangle Family Dentistry about. It's disappointing that Triangle Family Dentistry refused to acknowledge and fix poor work. read more

Being new to Cary, I sought out a dentistry close to home and was hoping for a practice with a great atmosphere. I was blown away by their advanced technology used for dental patients as well as the friendly staff of professionals that greet you as soon as you walk off the elevator. The office is bright, the seating area is comfortable and large enough to accommodate social distancing. I had a dentist appt yesterday on 1/8 and it was one of the best yet. If you are considering this facility go to Dr. Puza! I have seen a couple of doctors here, but he is by far the best. He is the first doctor that has been straight forward with my needs as a patient. He will not perform any unecessary procedures without trying an alternative first. This was also my second time seeing Taliek who is one of the dental hygienists and he makes you feel extremely comfortable and is very informative. What's also nice is the staff will let you listen to music or watch Netflix if you have to wait on additional services for awhile. Also, the staff is amazing and always super nice! The ambiance at this facility is unlike anything I have experienced. You almost feel like you are waiting at a spa with the relaxing aromatherapy scents from the diffuser. I don't remember my wait times being over 10mins unless I'm filling out paperwork. read more

I have been going to Triangle Family Dentistry off Carpenter Fire Station Road in Cary, NC for two to three years now. I think it's about the right amount of time to give a knowledgeable review. My hygienist is Anna, and I am lucky to have been matched with her. She has a calm, friendly demeanor, and she is gentle with her cleaning and advice. Her room is in the corner of the 2nd floor facility, so I enjoyed the view of trees, sky, and distant apartments when I am there. I have mainly been seen by Dr. Barber, who looks at my electronically saved charts and my teeth and takes her time to explain, ask about concerns, and make sure I am satisfied with any recommendations. The last time I was there I saw Dr. Haddad. I was considerately asked beforehand if it mattered to me whom I saw. I wanted to meet them both, so I said Dr. Haddad would be fine. He also examined my records and teeth thoroughly, and talked with me in a professional, positive manner. Both dentists seem very knowledgeable and friendly, but I thankfully have not needed to have any fillings or procedures there other than x-rays. I think that's a testament to their cleaning advice, and care, as well as to their honesty. I am happy the parking lot is not as packed as it used to be, but sadly that might be because the other practice in the building has fewer clients or employees there due to Covid. Speaking of Covid, I am very comfortable about the cleanliness of Triangle Family Dentistry, as they have the waiting room chairs spread apart and there is a glass separation near the receptionist and checkout areas, and of course the hygienists and dentists wear masks. I think they have a large area for children but I cannot comment on that because it does not apply to me. read more

I've relied on TFD for several years now and although I can't complain about the quality of the actual dentistry care received, some of their business practices, policies, and customer satisfaction leave something to be desired. I've now had 2 instances of insurance issues related to their mistakes or misactions and they've shown a lack of ability or willingness to make things right. For a practice that states "100% customer satisfaction is our goal", they've unfortunately come up quite short for me. read more

While I loved my dental hygienist, I really didn't care for the practice in general. I made an appointment for a cleaning however, my first appointment turned solely into a consultation. Since it was my first time, I understood.. I came back for two deep cleanings and was informed that I should remove my wisdom teeth. I had a wisdom removal consultation but it was canceled by the office which I was okay with me since I was being charge a covid convenience fee each visit so, three fees I had already paid. Not to mention, I was never told about a covid convenience fee.. I'm all about helping out during trying times but they didn't mention it.. I saw it on my bill receipt.. I was giving a invoice of how much everything would cost but it turned out to be roughly 75- 150 off from what I ended up paying. Some time passed and it was time for me to get a cleaning. I didn't respond to their calls, voicemails, or email to confirm my appointment. A few weeks passed and I get a nice nasty letter in the mail forwarded to my new address basically saying they should charge me 50.00 for not coming in. I'm good on this practice.. I've had lots of oral & ent surgeries done so I'm pretty used to the equipment and imaging, but even if I wasn't this was a very comfortable, pain free cleaning. I have a what I would classify as an emergency. 8-10/10 pain on a crown they did. taking 800mg ibuprofen and 1 g acetaminophen and the only way I could sleep last night was with oxycodone. I called the on call dentist and they will not come in to work on i, I have to wait til Tuesday. what is the point of having someone on call if they aren't going to come in. read more

Everyone at this dental office is very nice. Everyone is always courteous and Loretta is the best. I drive all the way from Wake Forest to get my teeth cleaned there. I moved to Wake Forest a couple of years ago but still drive out to this office. They always make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Highly recommend this Cary location.
