However, they did not even submit the claim to insurance for nearly 2 full months, despite multiple requests to do so. Once they finally submitted the claim (in April), my insurance asked several basic follow-up questions about the treatment so they could process the claim. It has now been another two months and Crabtree Valley Dental has still not provided that info, despite multiple letters from insurance. Over the phone, they keep assuring me they will take care of it but weeks go by with no action. It seems pretty clear now that because they received my money, they they have little interest is helping with my insurance claim. I previously had good experiences with CVD, but I do not recommend that anyone pay for any treatments up front with them. Make them submit to insurance first, because otherwise you may never see that money again.

What made me write this review though was today, I had been experiencing tooth pain and in a spot where I recently got the filling that was in between teeth. Assuming that the filling must of fallen out because it was very painful full when I flossed. I called at 8 am the next morning and they scheduled me for a spot at 9:30 am that day. Well they took X-rays and the whole shabang, and found that the filling dint fall out but my teeth grinding had caused my teeth to become super sensitive. I felt really embarrassed about asssuming that and they were so nice and didn't even make me pay for the examination, Dr Zhou gave me recommendations and answers and made me feel very understood. As a Raleigh native this is probably the best dentist I've been too. I can't think of any complaints.

I would have had to pay almost $400 for something that was already covered by my insurance for free. I haven't even seen these people and already they were difficult and the receptionist gave me a lot of attitude and instead of saying "we understand and have a good day bye" she said "I agree" when I just said it isn't a good fit at this time. This lady has no business running an office . I usually try to refrain from leaving bad reviews but I have to let people know this happened so others don't experience this. I'm really sad . My therapist recommended them and I can't use them now. If I am spoken to like a 3 year old over the phone, I can only begin to imagine what my in person experience would've been. Not The place for autistic people as they interpret every tone of voice that is a lower tone to be someone upset with them and they make commands like they're training a dog with you.

There aren't words to describe the horrific way in which my husband was treated at Wells Family…read moreDental.  They told my husband that he was developing a tooth infection so to avoid any issues, my husband scheduled a tooth extraction with Stephanie Chapman.  Not only did she break my husband's tooth, but she left the room after breaking his tooth and sent in her assistant to tell my husband that he needs to go to another dental location - the earliest appointment that they could get my husband in was 4 hours later, 45 min. away.  She never came back in the room and his broken tooth was never properly gauzed or attended to.  She damaged his tooth so badly that the next dentist had to do an invasive procedure (without proper anesthesia) on my husband.  The pain my husband experienced was unbearable.  In fact, it was not healing properly and my husband had to go back for an evaluation.  The owner contacted my husband and referred him to an oral surgeon that he used to work with.  This turned out to be a disaster.  This surgeon would not help my husband.  He said that he had to follow "procedure" and even though weeks went by and my husband pleaded for some kind of help, he insisted that he must follow "procedure" and not do anything for my husband to see if it healed on its own.  He even canceled an appointment within 5 min. of the appointment arrival time - my husband had to drive 2 hours round trip + tolls.  Finally on Friday of last week, this surgeon finally admitted that my husband had a bad infection, but that he was so busy and couldn't help my husband for another 3 weeks.  What???  My husband had endured the intense and horrific pain of a tooth infection for 8 weeks now.  He's missed out on anniversary celebrations, vacations, ect.  The intense pain has caused severe migraines, and my husband has had to rely on pain meds to get him through the day.  He has had insomnia and is never without pain.  I have never experienced malpractice before so this is incredibly shocking to see the severity of pain my husband has been in and the way in which he's been treated.  This practice should be absolutely ashamed. Update: My husband had an xray to see exactly what Well's Dental did to my husband's jaw when they pulled the tooth. And they literally cut a square into my husband's jaw. Who knows the extend of repair he will need to fix his jaw. Every dentist/surgeon/periodontal doctor he sees apologizes on behalf of the dental community for the extensive damage they did to my husband. There aren't words to describe the pain and suffering my husband has endured.

I have had cleanings, fillings, referrals to Dr. Cottle for a root canal, crowns, etc and all have been taken care of with the lowest level of pain and the utmost comfort. I am a very detail-oriented, down to the dollars and cents, fairly picky individual and Dr. Sigmon runs a tight ship and I always leave satisfied. If something comes up and something isn't quite right, I know Dr. Sigmon will take excellent care of me. The receptionist Karina, is always extremely kind and everyone I've interacted with has been great.

My one complaint is the waiting area. There is an enormous ottoman that takes up a large part of the room. It's awkward if you have to get around someone and more importantly it makes the room handicap inaccessible. Some of my deepest stains did not come out and they did not have answers for why they could not get them out "in my opinion". They were all ready to do extra fillers above my eye teeth to augment where the stains were. This would be at my cost, and would make the stains, invisible to the naked eye. #4 when I went to check out, I find out there is no coordination of benefits, which was never mentioned at any point when I spoke to the office manager or staff person during the initial interview. So now I'm going to have to file the extra paperwork myself. Not cool! #5 The straw that broke the camels back is several weeks later, when I receive the bill from the insurance company stating that this dentist office is out of network for my insurance company, which I specifically asked them to check and was told they "accepted my insurance". Now I don't know what that means to them, but to me, it means that they are in network for my insurance company. Surprise, they aren't! I owe almost $350. Again, not cool!
