When my air conditioning at my house in Cary stopped cooling the house this summer, I actually started by calling another company. The other company's estimate came back a little high, so when my friend told me about Triangle Repair Group, I decided to check them out. And I'm so glad I did! I used their website to request an appointment, and their customer service representative, Alex, called me soon after to schedule a technician to see what was going on. The tech, Paul, quickly identified that the issue with my 2.5-ton Rheem package unit was a leaking evaporator coil. He showed me the problem (you could hear it audibly hissing!) and asked if he could follow up that afternoon with a quote to replace the coil. Paul was friendly and helpful and explained things at an appropriate pace. Alex sent me a quote later that day. I was surprised when the cost came back significantly lower than the other company: turns out the part was covered under warranty! I was pretty happy they found that out. Since I had to go out of town, and the HVAC was located entirely outside the house, I asked if I could schedule the repair for while I was gone. Sure enough, Paul was able to get the job done a couple days later. I came back to a comfortably cooled house. Because I'm "that guy," I decided to open up the HVAC to check out Paul's work. A+, super workmanship, clean job! I think and hope we'll be able to get many more years out of this system. I was very pleased with TRG, Paul, and Alex, and I look forward to using them again when I need repairs or a new system... though, obviously, I hope I don't need either anytime soon. read more

We had the exact OPPOSITE experience of the overview of this company! If there would have been 0 stars, that is what I would have rated this company. He talks a very good game initially but does not deliver. He is not truthful and he actually said "oh you wanted a professional job" when he did not complete a job the way he said he would. He gets nasty when you say anything about his work. The company I hired to have come and finish his work says he skipped many steps which I do not doubt as he did the same with the other jobs he did. Oh did I mention, he kept saying he would be back to finish his inept work to include crawlspace floor sealing which he did not overlap sufficiently nor did he tape it. He also put in some under counter lights, which when we discussed how it would be done ultimately did not happen but rather were were hung up and excess wire was wrapped in in a bunch and run on the outside of the cabinets. Shoddy shoddy shoddy!!! So he said he would be back to complete it properly two weeks ago and once again never showed up (this has been going on since December when I paid him in full because he said "I could trust him" Huuuge mistake!!! Also important to mention I had a very expensive electric bill due to the fact that my unit was running and running and only registering 59 degrees (with an elderly mother living with me) because he FORGOT to connect the heat strips when he installed the unit!!
