From the very beginning, the process was incredibly easy. When I reached out for information, they responded quickly, and once I picked the date and time, they had us signed up almost immediately. Everything was simple and stress-free! The party room was very spacious with plenty of room for a big group of kids. There was a table for all the food, another table for gifts, and even a ping pong table, which ended up being a HUGE hit with all the little ones who definitely weren't interested in sitting still for long! The biggest shoutout goes to Max, who absolutely ran the show and was AMAZING with the kids! He kept them engaged, made everything fun, and somehow even remembered most of their names so he could personally cheer them on during the activities. That little extra effort really stood out and made the experience even better. If you're booking a party here, I highly recommend requesting Max. He was superb! My son had such a great birthday, the kids had a blast, and it was nice as a parent to actually be able to enjoy the party instead of having to coordinate every second of it. If you are looking for a camp that prioritizes child safety and active engagement, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.

The Wilson Rec Center is pretty central to campus and has student recreational activities. The pool is in the rear and is the only thing I saw. You can enter in front or rear for the aquatic complex. The building itself looks like "Duke". The brownstones are spectacular. Parking is reserved pretty much all around the building I found the visitors lot which is about a 3/4 mile walk. The area was clean and impeccably maintained. The aquatic complex is not as old as the building dating to possibly turn of the century. However it's no spring chicken either. Possibly built in the late 60's, not ruling out 70's. The pool and deck are maintained. Only faculty, staff and the swim and dive are permitted to use outside of special permission. My son enjoyed the pool. Although not a new pool it has underwent a couple of renovation projects over the decades. The most recent was around 11 years ago. The 25 yard pool with diving well is a nice set up for competition. Duke competes in the ACC Conference. The complex offers a compact spectator area on one side. Most reading this review will never get the opportunity to use the pool and probably never even see it. My son absolutely loved his time on campus and who knows could be a Blue Devil.

Price depends on location, but $100 monthly is what I would pay and there is a yearly sign up fee. Staff is friendly and will get you started reviewing the safety and technical info. I have all my own gear, but discounts on gear, as well as shoe and harness rentals are available. I have 40-50 years of rock, ice, and ski mountaineering experience, but price is high (for me) and my gym is 10% of the cost here. Finally , I was put off by the fact that discounts are available for students- but NOT seniors. That's the reason for 3 stars. The company would give away far more in discounts for students than seniors. Also, seniors bring in children and grandchildren, so this makes no sense to me. Too bad.
