These people are the rudest people ever! My last vision exam -the tech was high on pain medications after being in a car accident, seeing double, falling asleep during the exams. I had to type my own information for her. I sat in the waiting area for over an hour bc she forgot about me. The office people are loud, obnoxious, and violate HIPPA - I listened to them tell people what other people's insurance was at Lowes Food and who paid for what. The are awful! They argue with you non-stop especially the lady who makes appts/handles billing and the lady that fits you for glasses. We will be switching. The doctor is great, but the staff are awful! read more

Simple check-in. Doctor I worked with was easy to converse with and advised on a few things I didn't consider or think of since I'm getting older. The lady I worked with to get new prescription glasses and sunglasses with really fun and engaging. Forgot I was at the eye doc after a couple minutes. I would not recommend this store. The optician argued with me that this prescription written by my regular eye Dr. was incorrect and I wouldn't be able to see. I ordered glasses with were not fitted to my face properly. The office clerical staff was very nice. When I picked up my glasses, I ordered another pair and that Optician was rude. I will be calling them Monday to find out the return policy. read more

I definitely wouldn't recommend here. I have had to appointments with them and will be switching doctors. I didn't have an issue with the doctor they were ok but the other staff members are rude and unprofessional. I was also lied to. I have been wearing contacts since I started and they want to charge you for a contact fitting every time you go which is stupid and I was told I just had to do it the first visit. On my first visit everything went well until I got to the point of checking out and they put me with this lady who also sales glasses. I get it's her job to sale glassed but if i said I want a neutral color please did not suggest red. She is totally unhelpful and rube when you disagree with her but other then that the first appointment was not awful. The next eye exam though was the one that made me want a new doctor. I went in there and everything was fine. I was upset when I found out that I would have to do and pay for another contact fitting but it was fine I'm not hard to get along with. I told the new doctor that I wanted to try and new contact brand since I felt like I could where the brand that I got last time more then 6hr. The dr gave me two samples to try. Well I got stuck with the rude and push sale lady again. She asked me if I was gonna but any glass and I showed her so pictures of glass with a tortoise frame that were large frame. They only had one pair similar but I really didn't like those. Then she began showing me pink, purple and blue frames to which I explained that not what I wanted. She kept saying over and over that she liked them and thought I should get them and I kept declining to but glasses I didn't like especially in colors I didn't what. I'm 25yr not 5 I don't what purple glasses. Well she got mad after I would not buy a pair from them and kept trying not to give me my prescription. So after I finally got my prescription for glasses I left. The doctor gave me 2 brands of contacts to try and after trying them for a few days and not liking them I went back to the office to see if I could try a different brand. Before I went back a friend had recommended their brand of contacts and found a coupon for a free trial online, printed it out and took it when I went. Well the receptionist was extremely rude and told me that the doctor had wrote a prescription and the the only brand I could get even after I explained it was an old prescription and I didn't get a prescription for contacts at my appointment. The woman at the desk told me they don't take coupons and was not willing to help me at all. It told another lady to come over and finally listen to me and tell the other lady that I didn't get script and that I was still trying different band to find ones that worked. After 3 months I finally got my contacts and then when I called about the receipt for the rebate it took me 5 days to get someone on the phone and then they acted like it was my fault I didn't get the email. I won't be back to this clinic it's not an enjoyable experience at all. read more

Was told that I was required to get dilation or eye imagining and declined both. Was told that it's required for insurance. First off, that is a lie. Second, they said that it would be fraud if they submitted it without getting it done, another lie. Just tell me the truth and say that it's a company requirement. Would be helpful if you stated as much while making the appointment. read more

I was talking to the lady in the front and was wondering why they wouldn't take tricare. Another lady (older) came out and was arguing with me about my insurance in front of the entire room. I kept trying to explain that I have been seen before and have never paid but she insisted that I was incorrect. They tried to get me to do a copay of $10 and then $39 for pictures of my sons eyes or he would have to be dilated. For the sake of not wasting my gas or time (30 minute drive) I almost caved in. How ever, due to the conduct of this "professional" arguing, I left. I made an appointment at Visionworks with tricare and have no copay or no fee for any exam. This place is a rip off and very unprofessional. Why lie? read more

If you need glasses do not go to this place. Been waiting almost a month and still no glasses. Today the excuse was that my insurance company is who orders the glasses and they were having issues with the lenses breaking. Never heard such awful excuses. read more

The worst experience ever! Dr. Ballentine gave me incorrect prescription for distance and would not change it unless I come in and pay for another exam! Are you kidding me! I wore the glasses for a month trying to get use to them. I will pay at another facility to get a another exam where they know how to give proper exam! What a rip-off! read more

The absolute worst place to go for a vision test and/or glasses. The young lady at the front desk where I checked in was very nice & helpful. The technicians for the most part were also helpful and friendly. The doctor I saw was too quick to refer me to an Opthamologist, and implied that I had advanced cataracts. (I don't!) I did not receive a statement of services rendered after my initial visit! I didn't get a copy of my current vision Rx either. I basically left empty-handed. On my recent second visit I just wanted my glasses adjusted, but the optician was rude and behaved like a loud-mouth, know-it-all who just wanted to argue. She spoke so loudly that the entire room heard our conversation, and were snickering. Even the eye doctor came out to the front office to see what was going on and I saw that SHE, too, was smirking over my conversation with the optician! AND, the optician basically refused to make any adjustments to my glasses!! I should have walked out right there on the spot. They all kept telling me I needed cataract surgery! I have never been treated so poorly by any Optometry office. The doctor should have stopped her rude behavior on the spot instead of encouraging it. In my opinion the doctor was just as unprofessional as the optician. I have since returned to my previous Optometrist for a vision and prescription recheck, and they have gone above and beyond to make corrections to the lenses in my current glasses. My suggestion to anyone considering Triangle Visions in Southern Pines is to RUN. Stay away and do not subject yourself to this kind of abusive behavior by an optician. Why that woman has a job at all is beyond me! read more

First time in many years going to and eye doctor, if nothing else the results are amazing. I believe the team has a great attitude, and made a decent connection. Terrible place and staff, including Dr. Fogleman. I informed them I was paying cash when I called to inquire about an eye exam. I was told it was $99. I Made an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, was told it would be an additional $$39 for pictures to be taken of my eye. I said no, I didn't want that and then she told me I would have to get them dilated. I said no, I didn't want my eyes dilated either. I just wanted an eye exam so I could get a prescription for eyeglasses since I was visiting from out of town and my glasses broke. I was told I didn't have a choice and it was "either/or" and I wouldn't get a prescription without it. I've never been forced to get my eyes dilated at any optometrist's office, ever! They were not understanding or friendly. Reluctantly I gave in and while I was in the chair waiting, I decided to go outside to make a phone call, 35 minutes had passed since my appointment time. I called my Dr's office in my hometown and explained what was going on and they said they don't force their patients to do anything and that she had never heard of such a thing. I was outside for approximately 3 minutes and was watched the whole time. Lol. Dr. Fogleman came outside and I explained that if that is your policy, I should've been informed beforehand when I called to make my appointment. He said , "well, wouldn't it be nice if everyone got all the information they wanted! And then said, " you're going home then, goodbye". He was calm in demeanor, but saying those remarks was very unprofessional. What a weirdo he was!! read more

My latest visit to Triangle Visions Optometry is similar to all my prior visits. Entire staff is extremely nice, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thank You. I am borderline having Glaucoma and need to be checked every few months. Dr. Fogleman had fully informed me that exercise helps reduce pressure. I did listen to this advise and my pressure in both eyes dropped this last visit. I completely trust his judgement. Tests are thorough. Exam thorough, too. I am the type of person who procrastinates with visits, then forgets to pick my glasses up for weeks, and still Dawn nicely puts up with me. When I stretched out the side of my glasses, she got me a brand new pair. Thanks for that. Love the cute glasses you took so much time helping me pick out. I trust everyone there. Terrific. In my opinion Dr. Fogelman is one of the top optometrists in Moore County. Used to know the staff who was responsive and professional to deal with. Then he went with Triangle Visions which as been a NIgHMARE They don't answer the phone since it's such a large outfit - you leave message and sometimes they get back to you. Can't answer any questions, can't give you any information pertaining to that office because they are not located there. Hidden charges so beware. Only reason I continue is because of Dr. Fogelman and the quality service HE PROVIDES. This is really a shame he chose to go with this outfit.Need to make clear the problem is NOT Dr. Fogelman but Triangle Visions. read more

I was very happy with dr Fogleman however very unhappy with reception desk. I was in the office talking to the reception gals and they told me even though their office didn't except Eyemed their other offices did and they could put the claim through the other office. I made an appointment and when I went to my appointment they told me they could not do that and it ended up costing $59 instead of a free eye exam. They should educate the people at the desk so that they give better info . I would not have gone to that office if I knew they didn't take my insurance. read more
