AMAZING! My first time in Portland and I chose to spend my birthday with Triangle Wine Tours exploring the wines of the Willamette Valley. My husband and I were picked up at our hotel by Michele. What a wine-derful day in the Valley! Michele really knows the area from head to toe - with her amazing wine knowledge (but in a fun, easy to understand way!) and has built a lot of relationships with wineries which makes your experience even better. We did a larger production location, mid range, and a smaller boutique which was a fun variety. The van is large and comfortable and they take the stress out of driving at night in the rain after some wine! They had waters and snacks and made us feel like a VIP at each winery stop. We were so glad to find John and Michele from Triangle Wine Country Tour. We talked suggestions with them but after listening to their knowledge of the wineries, we changed our minds and chose ones that were more intimate and smaller. It's such a better experience because you spend time with the owners of the vineyards and get to ask questions they wouldn't normally have time for. John and Michele took very good care of us, talked a lot about the Willamette Valley and my favorite part was their dog Cassie! Best wine tour in the Willamette Valley! We booked a private tour for our group of 8 and could not have asked for a better experience. Michele and Tom were punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and overall great people. Every aspect of the tour was planned seamlessly and our every want, need and question was taken care of. Booking was super easy and Michele was a huge help in picking out the best wineries for our tastes. She was also great at communication before the tour. Michele and Tom also provided snacks and water in the van, which was impeccably clean and well maintained. We went to Sokol Blosser, Durant, and Furioso and had tables waiting for us upon arrival. We also had a charcuterie lunch at Durant that was just perfect. The timing of all the tastings was great and we never felt rushed. Then I got lucky and landed with John and Michelle, the kindest most accommodating and considerate people who also know so much about wine and the area. We were pickd up exactly on time and driven safely in a very comfortable van by John. Water and snacks were on board. John and Michele are very knowledgeable about the area as well as wine and kept us entertained on the drive. We had a custom tour of wineries that fit our requests. All were spectacular. I had the great pleasure of joining a friend for Dan's private wine tour last week. It is difficult to not have fun wine-tasing in the Willamette Valley, but this tour took our day to NEXT LEVEL. First of all, he personalized our tour to match our wine preferences (just from us telling him what we would normally purchase at the wine store) and set up private appointments best for my friend's 7 month old to come along with us. We learned about wine (and the passion for it) from the owner's, and got a massive education on the history of WV wines, soil, and what grows best where and why. What a fabulous trip! Julie was fantastic, so knowledgeable, and so patient with all of our questions! We learned SO MUCH about wine and got some gorgeous pictures out of it too. Being driven around while wine tasting with an expert really changed the experience and made it so special! My one piece of feedback is that Dan should really let Julie pick the vineyards next time--my parents really wanted to try some local Reisling and there was none on the trip, so I had to take them to a cellar the next day so he could try some Oregon Reisling. Also, hummus and bread is not an acceptable vegan lunch option, ever, so I ended up having to purchase my lunch separately and pay for it myself. read more

Dan took our group of 12 ladies on a wine tasting tour for a friend's bachelorette party. From the moment I contacted Dan to begin planning, he was thorough, collaborative, and flexible. He arranged to pick us up from the VRBO we'd rented in McMinnville and specifically selected wineries to visit based on their ability to host a group our size. He weaved wine education into the day while allowing us to have our own space and explore the beautiful wineries. Dan was attentive and answered our questions, allowed us to set the pace of the day, and patiently snapped photos on all of our cameras to capture the day. He also set up a Dropbox where he posted his photos to share afterward. Our lunch was delicious, and he ensured we had options for our vegetarian and gluten free friends. The black lava salt is amazing! We purchased a few cases of wine at a discount through the company, which was a nice perk.
