    Dont rent from TriCon. I paid everything on time or early and was an ideal renter. The full security deposit was supposed to be refunded and sent to me within 30 days. It's been almost a month and a half later and I have not received the security deposit and there's no real way to contact anyone. No one is responding to my email for a contact and calling the customer service line only leaves you on hold. Deal with a local company that you can walk into their office and talk to Or at least get some numbers upfront for when you move out do you can reach someone. I need my money back! Torrie Jessee

    Up to speed I have a lawyer and making my rent payment ls through the courts aka rent bond. So a agent from Georgia their collection agent called me on Friday trying to force me out under a rent bond. Anyone I will contact my lawyer. This call was made after I complained about electric problems and the concern of these vents. I also have filed a claim to EPA. This company was on WGN charlotte news under false representation DO NOT RENT!!!!

    UPDATE: Today (8/29/23), a plumber came out to the home while I was working. When I got home I checked the work that was done and seen that the hose attached to the washing machine was duct taped and zip tied to the wall again. (Photo attached). This has been the "resolution" the last three times the home has flooded. I contacted customer care and was transferred to a maintenance manager named Nick. He stated that the plumber informed him that the zip tie and tape was being removed and that's why it flooded again. He then states that he doesn't understand why I am having an issue when other tenants don't have an issue with the zip tie method. He insinuated that I am the one removing the tape and zip tie and causing the flooding to the home. I informed him that each time I drain my tub and use the washing machine it does this. He ignored it and stated that they've done all they can do and that the zip tie and tape is actually the fix. Note, the last time it was taped and zip tied the flooding happened behind the wall where the hose is inserted. There's an obvious issue and the pressure from whatever is going on is causing the hose to be pushed out. I also addressed the issue with the wet ceilings and was told that he doesn't know why either of the issues are happening and that they see no issues with the home. "All the proper vendors have been contacted and nothing else can be done". However, I've been dealing with this issue since April and have has wet walls since August 4. I disconnected the call due to no resolution. This is my second review. Since April, my home has flooded about four or five times. The first time it took them a month to fix everything. The home flooded again after that. My home has now flooded again today (8/27) and I'm unable to get in contact with anyone on the emergency line. My carpet and bed are wet. I can never seem to get through any laundry without this issue. The ziptie and tape that was applied to the hose by the previous plumber has come off due to the pressure in the hose. Anytime an order is placed through the "emergency" line, you're routed to an automated system and no one reaches out to you until the next business day. So now I am stuck with wet carpet and wet furniture. Not only am I dealing with the flooding issue, I am still waiting on a resolution regarding wet ceilings throughout the house. (Indicating an issue with the roof). The order was placed on august 4 and the only answers I've received are pointed fingers at other service vendors. If the issue isn't resolved, I will follow the next applicable steps.

Positive experiences: I have been treated with politeness and patience each time I've called in or emailed the assistant community manager. Setting up an account and payment information is complex, but they have helped with every step. Negative experiences: My car was involved in a hit and run in the parking garage that Henderson theoretically should maintain and manage. Henderson contracts the management of the parking garage to another company. There are no cameras, which makes me feel really unsafe. The employees that I have spoken with have been nice, but that does not change that I have sustained thousands of dollars in damage to my vehicle in their building. The community manager came off unsympathetic and responded with an "I certainly understand that this incident is troublesome". Troublesome? I could have been seriously injured in the incident and now cannot even park in my own condo's facilities without feeling worried about being mugged or followed or hit again. The same week, the ceiling in a shared hallway between condo units leaked so badly, we had to contact emergency maintenance. Going through Henderson's Emergency maintenance line was a nightmare, myself and another resident were sent to voicemail and never got a callback. We had to contact a member of our HOA board to get help. Emergency maintenance didn't show up until 3-4 hours after we first frantically contacted the service, during which time the leak grew and got so much worse.

Flooring repairs were started at my rental, but the work was left incomplete after demolition. The kitchen sink, cabinets, and dishwasher were removed and portions of the flooring were taken down to the subfloor. The home was left in a partially unusable condition for over a month. Despite multiple phone calls and written requests, I still have not received any response from the property manager. Work is now being scheduled, but only after continued follow‑up, and there has still been little to no direct communication or accountability from management. If repairs are required, be prepared to advocate for yourself and document everything. Communication should not be this difficult when a rental is left without essential living facilities.

    My review to express my disappointment regarding the condition of the home I recently rented…read morethrough Invitation Homes at Olive Coast Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. During the onboarding and move-in inspection process, several items were identified that required repair or attention. Although my lease began in April and rent was paid for that month, I did not move into the property until May. Given that the property was vacant during that time, I reasonably expected that the identified issues would have been addressed before my move-in date. Unfortunately, when I moved into the home, many of the outstanding items had not been completed. As a result, I was required to take time away from work shortly after moving in to accommodate maintenance visits and repairs that could have been completed before occupancy. As a tenant, I believe it is reasonable to expect that a home is move-in ready at the start of the tenancy, particularly when concerns have already been documented and there was ample time to address them before occupancy. The inconvenience of coordinating repairs after moving in, combined with the need to miss work, has been frustrating and disruptive. I paid rent beginning in April, and I believe the property should have been inspected and prepared for occupancy before my move-in date. Instead, I was left dealing with issues that had already been identified, causing unnecessary inconvenience during what should have been a smooth transition into my new home. I respectfully request that Invitation Homes review this matter and consider an appropriate accommodation for the inconvenience and time I lost from work while facilitating repairs.     Trust me when I say: Go through ANY other company for renting…read more My boyfriend and I applied to rent a house before seeing it (it's 2013, there's Google Streetview and a virtual tour online). Apparently this wasn't "following the steps." Nowhere on the application did it say "You need to see this house before you apply to rent it." Regardless, they accepted our $60 to apply. We called 3 days before we were driving through the area to see if someone could show us the inside (we figured we would get the house since the day we applied the property was listed as "pending"). She told us no, that we need to go through a realtor. Problem: No realtor is going to show a house you already applied to through another company. I called her back and told her only her company could show the house, she said she'd send out an email to all the people who could show the house during the 2 hour window we had and call us back... Jump 3 days ahead and we hadn't heard back, but were driving through. I called back and she said, "I tried to call you Saturday... well, I called someone. This house is popular and I talked to someone who was interested." It wasn't us. Needless to say, we didn't get to see the inside. But she did inform us that we would be contacted the next day about the application. Of course we didn't hear anything the next day. So two days later we called back only to be informed that this company doesn't go with the whoever-applies-first (and is approved) gets the house. No. They go with whoever they feel is the "best" candidate, i.e. she had pushed someone else's application through so we wouldn't get it. And what about contacting us? Apparently, they mailed a letter. I was nothing but nice to this lady, but she was incredibly rude, short, and untrustworthy. I'm not saying this because we have bad credit, or can't afford this house, or anything like that. I feel very confident we (a professor and school teacher) were approved. Please don't rent/buy through this company. I should also mention, of course, the $60 application wasn't refunded.
