Yelp removes all of the real customer Reviews posted on businesses& places them under "not recommended" so this one will be put in same catagory because i dont have 300 friends &reviews on Yelp but will leave reviews of people who were not customers. That being said the owner of this company has a great reputation in the tricities area. He just recently went to internet for advertising &used Yelp to put on his website to obtain reviews. He has been in buisness since 2005 with no issues until he joined Yelp to promote the buisness. Also was charged 720$ in 6weeks for "clicks" from all over the world that resulted in 6 fraudulent calls from scamers. The 1star review was same. All contact came thru messages were she was told before he would drive over 2 hrs & put her on the schedule she would need to confirm the appointment by calling. As the good man he is she was also offered the so called 100$ she spent to send a handyman to meet him back to her as a token of his word& possible miscommunication but she never responded so it was taken as another scam attempt thru Yelp. Who would want someone you had not met or spoken to doing ANYTHING to your home? If you look under the "not recommended" those are REAL customers in his area of service but because they didnt have 300 friends & reviews the real customers didnt matter. If you are looking for home improvements i would suggest going to Angies List or THE BBB where they do background checks & speak to real customers. Witch this company is part of both. I hope this Review helps people understand how certain sites accredit buisnesses & that anyone, an ex, scammer,ect can make a review on most sites to sabatoge someone. So don't always go by reviews. The owner is honest hard working & has been roofing for over 15yrs. Hes dedicated to his customers & ensures that they are happy before he leaves a job. Yelp was first advertising we started & was a mistake because they put real customers who take time to set up an account to be able to even review puts them in " not recommended" section so look at them reviews. They claim because they are not yelp elites. Ok most ppl dknt sit kn Yelp make friends & review all day. Thats rediculous. The one stars are not even customers & have never respondeded to a message. Look kn Google, BBB, Angie's List. You wont find 1 job thats complained about his workmanship, price, or anything that matters.These people who try to run other small businesses in the ground by posting 1 star with "dont call them they dont show up" need to get a life look at thier location & the buisness location why would u contact someone outa state for a roof repair? So all you ppl who have nuthing to do but make fake profiles, cant get work because you have run your name in the ground & yelp choosing what reviews to post have a good day & not you or Yelp will run this buisness in the ground he made it 15 yrs without internet & will make it 15 more. read more

Well I on the other hand had a great expirence with Tried & True Roofing and they were on time, courteous, knowledgeable and actually saved us about 1800$. The first estimate was for 2800$ because we were told we needed a whole roof & it couldnt be repaired. So we joined Angies List becsuse they actually verify buisness's, thier reviews on the company and do background checks &found this company.My husband & I are thankful we didnt listen to the other guy. There's too many construction businesses trying to scam and take advantage of others these days i feel if you have a good expirence with a buisness owner then share it. Luckly hes an honest man & gave us estimate for enitre roof witch was still 500$ cheaper & then one for repair. My husbsnd went ahead sent him to our 2 rental properties for estimates. People make some if the most petty reviews. If you want a good roofing/deck building crew read all the reviews or most of them. Believe it or not Everyone uses the internet. If you leave a message & they don't respond then call someone else because they either don't want to or can't do the job, are backed up with work or after dealing with customers & working all day might even forget. Leaving a bad review or Slandering businesses because they didn't respond or call you as fast as you wanted, couldn't stop doing another customers job to give an estimate, was working til dark couldn't call you back that day or any reason besides what really effected you is unnecessary. Don't make accusations, call another company just like if you needed any other service. read more

I am so Thankful for the excellent & professional work that Tried & True done for me. We had a terrible leak causing all kinds of problems that I thought was going to cost a fortune & destroy the house but Thankfully I was referred to Tried & True & I couldn't have been happier. they will keep you waiting for your appointments. if you want to wait 1 hour or more for them to show up, you can call them. otherwise, avoid them. really read more
