PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO TRIM TIME!!! I POLITELY ASK YOU PLEASE READ. 3 years ago I joined Trim Time excited to be part of the team. I thought it was going to be a great daycare and amazing dog handling services. Little did I know what was going on behind closed doors. The first month working was okay but I didn't agree with their dog handling Techniques at all which were kneeing a dog if they jumped up, not letting the dogs out in an orderly fashion and just letting them bark at other dogs getting very reactive causing to much chaos as well as coworkers constantly being on their phones while dogs are laying down not understanding dogs could react to anyone or any dog in just a second while not having eyes on them at all times. A month later it escalates on the amount of not professional dog training there is, daycare as well as dog bathing. It honestly was the most outrageous, unprofessional, disappointing, most traumatic experience of my life. Not only was I told by a lead bather to put a dog in a chokehold to get the dogs face dry, but I was told by a dog handler to smack a down if it gets out of control. I even remember the manager yelling at a dog smacking it so hard, I was appalled. I honestly wish I could report this and do more. I'd love to release some security footage on what went down. I've even heard the same things from many previous employers and that's why they quit. I really wish I was joking. I've seen so many of the handlers hit dogs which is disgusting to say the least and before I wondered why some dogs were reactive and then I knew why. The way I was treated as well was so rude. If I did something wrong i was constantly yelled at or if I was told one thing but told to do it by someone else I was to blame and I even got my phone thrown Across the room for not reading the directions correctly. I have used Trim Time for many years, from my 2 Borzoi, Toy Poodle and now my sweet Yorkie. Love my groomer, not sure how she gets this little Yorkie to sit still to have such even angles cut. I've recently used them for boarding and couldn't be happier, she comes home happy and clean. Last fall I put my 7 year old Yorkie into training classes. While I didn't expect much, my one goal was to have her not pull when walking. I left so thrilled at the training, knowledge, dedication and kindness of our instructor. Staff is not friendly to down right rude. Customer satisfaction is not their goal. Twice my dog was nicked and neither time did they bring it to my attention; instead, I had to discover when I got home. I just read another review and it never occurred to me until I saw it that perhaps their problem with me is a racial issues! Good God, I hope not but it could be. read more

I have been using Trim Tyme since I purchased Milo three years ago. I have had my appointments booked a year in advance. However, this last past visit and it has happened twice before he was acting extremely strange, would not lay down going in circles couldn't get comfortable, and we finally did an overview and realize that he had scraped behind his shin, so I contacted Trim Tyme and I said look this is the third time I had requested that you let me know if you nick him which is a normal situation but I know my dog and when I pulled into the appointment, he was trembling and crying and trembling so hard this dog has never ever Behaved in this manner. He is an incredible dog. People volunteer to take care of him. He is family, friendly, a standard poodle all my great nieces and nephews all family members are amazed how well his demeanor is he does not flinch with thunderstorms. He does not flinch with fireworks. And I, received from the young lady at the counter, which tried her best with customer service swore brought out the groomer. I don't think it's the original groomer that I always had which she said it was and told me that it could've been the weather or it could have been my emotions which there were no emotions until she made that statement and therefore we will never be returning again, unfortunately.. read more

Normally I do not do this yet but, I felt compelled after my parents have taken our dog here for many years with inconsistent results, for which we still heavily tipped for. We kept going back b/c our dog had never been anywhere else and for the most part the groomer we tried to book him with did a good job. Although, at times he would come home with irritations and close shaves. In 2016 my father passed away and therefore we had missed a few grooming appointments (mind you we started taking him here in 2013). We were instructed by the owner that IF we wanted to continue to come in we had to pre-pay. Since April of 2016 we have been pre-paying for our appointments. Recently my mother (early September 2021) missed an appointment, mind you for 1 we had pre-paid for. She was told she needed to pay for that appointment and that our dog would be seen 3-4 weeks later and we would pay again. We were not given a reminder call, but were called 2 days after the missed appointment to by the reception that we would be charged. When she asked to speak to the owner, the owner told my mother that our groomer (Emily) was "sick and tired of us," and that we should take our dog else where. We were shocked at this. We requested the last refund and have gone to another local, more reputed grooming services, paying more but getting better and more respectful results. We really hope this is not due to racial issues, but a sinking feeling makes us feel it might be. So much for trying to support local. read more

I brought my Yorkie here for boarding .. for a week. But the entire bedside manner from me walking in the door was awful! I was not greeted by anyone so, I just stated that I had an appointment , some one took my dog and never said another word, just left me standing at the desk for about 15 minutes after. So I walked behind the desk to ask if they needed me for anything else? And they had to ask my why I was there? Upon picking up my dog same response .. I paid my bill.. they brought out my dog.. and walked away.. she's had anxiety ever since. I will Never again! read more

Always use them for grooming and boarding our two Airedales. Grooming is around $55 each. Consistently happy with their boarding services. Very clean. Dogs get to play outside seven times a day. We've used them for years and haven't ever had a problem. read more

I dropped my pups off on a Friday and explained to them about the chews, food, and night time treat (yes, I spoil my dogs horribly). I paid the $45 for one night (two dogs)- CRAZY CHEAP and told them a friend was going to pick them up the next day. They told me that they had to be picked up by 10 AM the next morning or we would be charged for another day (fine). They didn't give me any reports (physical or orally to my friend), they didn't give them any of my chews, and they didn't give them their night time treats. I know this may sound stupid to you, but these are my babies and I want them treated with the upmost respect. I also asked about there daycare prices (because they are SUPER CHEAP and they are two seconds from my home. They have hours that start at 8 and have no earlier hours). And since I work at 7:30, will not be using them for daycare. Just a note Trim Time- if you want more clients for your daycare service, increase your hours. read more

I've been to this establishment 3 times in 2020 and each time they didn't groom him to me liking. This last appointment which was originally scheduled for next week, and was rushed to be filled because they had a cancellation, my pup was not groomed to my liking. His face was completely shaved! Not groomed. They had him for several hours and upon picking him up, I still had to send him back because they didn't trim his ears. Then on the way out, another customer asked what type of dog he was and the owner then aggressively approached me accusing me of "bad mouthing" her establishment yelling at me to leave the premises. They were very unprofessional and I am very upset at how they treated me, after patronizing this business. read more

I boarded my 2-year-old dog here for the weekend--her first time away from me--and was very pleased when I picked her up. She wasn't freaked out, she smelled good, and she seemed to like the woman who brought her out. I got a report on what she ate and I got her favorite toy back. The price is right, the hours are convenient, and the location is easy to get to. Will definitely use them again. read more

IMHO this the perfect spot in the North Shore to have your dogs groomed or boarded. If your dog is boarded, they let them out seven times a day! They love your dogs and their personalities. Even if your dog is larger and may eat more, they don't charge you for more. I love that I can trust my dogs to a place that loves my dogs. read more

I took my puppy Princess to Trim Time over the weekend. The groomer was very professional and explained to me what she will be doing. When I went to pick up my puppy, she was beautiful.Very nicely groomed and clean. I love this place. I highly recommend you take your precious pup or dog/cat as well.. read more

My family used trim time with my old cocker spaniel. We had family friends open another shop so I started using them when I got my own dog. I wasn't happy with the results so I decided to take my dog to trim time instead. They were great. I asked for a mo-hawk for my pup. They were very accommodating. They made him look amazing!!! this trimtime grooming service for your pets is definitely not the place you should take your pets for any services. they let their animals out frighting other incoming pets and the receptionist was very rude insulted my name and hurted my feelings. i've never experienced so much crulety all the while i was trying to get my pet dog in for grooming services. they pushed me back letting 5 women who race was white ahead of me as a person of color, i felt bullied, they purposely crossed out my pet dogs name off the waiting list after waiting for over 7 months first without informing me they harassed my phone forcing me to bring in shot records telling me to give my dog unnecessary vet shots he didnt need making him sick and the rude receptionist was trying to be slick to ask me for my email at the last minute to cover herself still didnt care for him im very upset with this business & i talked with the owner jody and she was very rude and loud to me and told me i had to put my email down and that i would've known about their rules from which i didnt know about or had to provide any email address in the past and she went on trying to put me back on the waiting list telling me the position has been filled. she was very racist and as a person of color that i am, i felt very discriminated against cause she wouldn't even look at me all the while i was talking to her. i politely walked out so i will be calling the better business beauro. against her business do not take your pets here. this happened on 03/31/2023 at 10:56am friday. dalillrah goodwin read more

On March 10, I signed up for training classes for my puppy. The next week classes were postponed for 2 weeks due to the Covid 19 virus. Then they were suspended until further notice. I was informed in late May that classes would resume on June 8. I explained too much time had passed, and my dog was doing well and I did not want to continue and I wanted a refund, which was refused. I'm not going to return and was going to donate the rest of my money to a neighbor who wanted training classes for her dog. Jody, the owner of Trim Time refused this request, which seems a reasonable solution to this problem. Trim Time has been very uncooperative in trying to resolve this issue. After the first class, they pushed supplies, which I bought and haven't used. I would caution using this facility for training. If the classes had continued and I didn't go, I could understand not refunding the money, but this isn't the case and they should be more flexible due to the unusual circumstances. read more

I brought my 4 month Cavachon puppy in for a bathe, est cleaning and nail cutting. See was the groomer. She did an excellent job of cutting his hair, cleaning his ears, and trimming his nails. She even filed his nails and I didn't even ask her to. Just recently I brought my Cavachon in for the same thing. I had a different groomer, who could have used a groomer herself, and asked for the exact same things to be done. My Cavachon's face was poorly groomed uneven all over his face, the crease in his ears were left very dirty, and his nails ... some were ignored that needed clipping and others were cracked and sharp! I spoke with the owner zjodi who stood over me as I sat in a chair and yelled at me pointing her finger in my face!! She said she filed his front paws and cleaned his ears in less than 4 minutes. He came back to me with sharp nails and still dirty ears. Very unprofessional owner, horrible groomer. Only one that I can recommend is Dee. Best to go to Mandra zhroomers instead! read more

I've had good luck at Trim Time but over the past six-12 months, the quality in care has definitely decreased. For one, they continued to give my dog her NSAIDs even though they saw she had blood in her stool. And they did not call me to tell me about this blood. If they had, I would have told them to stop giving her a drug that can cause GI bleeds. You would think they would know this?? Secondly, some of the workers are very timid around bully breeds, which, honestly, just scares the dogs. The last time I left my dog there, they claimed she "lunged" at one of the workers (this doesn't surprise me, as I'm sure many dogs there are stressed and scared) so they refused to try and take her out of the kennel. FOR TWO DAYS. Are you kidding me?? If you want to run a pet boarding facility, you have to hire people who know how to handle animals. Any animal will get upset if they encounter someone who is rough or someone who is timid. I shouldn't have to keep telling the "experts" how to do their jobs. Even though this place is very close to my home and very cheap (I guess you get what you pay for), I will never visit there again. I can't speak to the grooming side of the business, perhaps they have better employees on that end of things. read more

Went here for many years and up until now it was great. I don't know if they hired somebody new but they out right suck now. I have 2 dogs and my bichon poodle when I got him back was all patchy and looked horrible and they didn't even clean his face or trim his ears as I asked, and with my puppy (chow chow golden) she went in because she got paint on her tail and when I picked her up they said that it came off so easily even though I still saw some on her when I got home. I also asked that they don't trim inside her ears for medical reasons and they completely ignored that request. I called asking for a in store credit and they shrugged me off and ignored it. For now on I advise people to go to North Shore Doggie Daycare on florist and Green Bay. Not only is there daycare wonderful but so is there grooming. I give the daycare 5 stars and trim time not even one. read more

I have gone to Lori for grooming for the past 10 years with my current dog and for a number of years prior to that with my previous dog. Everyone has been so wonderful and both of the dogs enjoyed going there. When my other dog (cocker spaniel) got to be quite old (he was almost 16), Lori took extra time to let him be comfortable during his grooming, and not push him. Both dogs have always looked great and I know they feel good after their grooming. read more
