My project technically isn't even done yet and I'm confident in leaving 5 stars. Alex and his team have spent the past week doing an enormous $37k+ landscape lighting installation for my botanical garden property, involving over 130 pathway, flood, and spotlight fixtures. The job involves extensive digging, wire pulling, and complicated hookups to feed into existing circuits for underwater pond, fountain, and masonry wall post fixtures, over almost an acre of property. I can't rave enough about how professional, courteous, communicative, and meticulous these guys are being. They show up right on time every day, explain exactly what they're going to do each day, make sure everything is perfectly straight and level, and have even voluntarily fixed a lot of cosmetic issues left over from previous contractors. They're still not done, but still comfortably ahead of schedule -- even with another, considerably less communicative or professional contractor frequently getting in their way. The install took about 8 hours but the team was still efficient, flexible for my schedule of being in/out of the house, answered all my questions and showed me everything I needed to know to use my lights (and how to contact them after if there were any issues). Have you ever seen a house in your neighborhood and were like.... Wow.... That looks really nice. Well this was an obsession to me at this point. All of these houses in my neighborhood had the most AMAZING accent lighting that was just under the trim. You can only imagine the Google terms I tried. It was useless. Life changed the moment our neighbor put these lights up AND THEY HAD A YARD SIGN! It's as if the heavens spoke to me. The facade angels has answered my prayers. Trimlight was it! I obsessed over the next few weeks... saw the amazing holiday lighting.. and begged my husband to cave. After following trimlight on Instagram, I saw they'd be at the Del Mar Fair. This was our chance!!!! We went to the fair with one purpose in mind..... to visit Trimlight in an exhibitor hall. B-lining it for the display, we met Alex and told him give us all the info. We pretty much knew what we wanted and just wanted to see it up close... and basically find out how to give them our money. I feel like the next day... we had trimlight scheduled out for an appointment, color matched our eaves almost identically (we have the most random eaves color and he really made magic happen) and we immediately paid the deposit for 6" spacing trimlight for our home. Alex scheduled us for today (8/25) and showed up exactly when he said he would. We were able to leave Alex and his team member, Michael, by themselves with access to the garage, to complete the project. When we came back, everything had been installed and it was as if they never even came. Alex returned this evening to show us how to operate it and it turned out to be one of the most simplest systems. He showed us some pattern options, options for singling out color placements, and even some cool features. He really took the time to make sure we understood everything the app offered. He gave us some troubleshooting tips and gave us some much appreciated advice. Trimlight's quality and quality of installation was obvious with our neighborhood million-dollar homes and I can respect the fact that the same quality and installation occurred on my much smaller home. If I had the opportunity to, I'd do it all over. I'm hoping to incorporate Trimlight into my businesses fa in the future. UPDATE: Thank you! I really appreciate the response. It's unfortunate I had to make a Yelp review to get it! Yes, I scratched my cornea and was taken to emergency the day of the appointment. Our son was home for the measurement but when the tech rang the doorbell my husband did answer and tell them why we were not home and couldn't walk around with them and they said they would still measure and send us a quote. The tech rang the bell again before he left and said we had some architectural challenges but they'd put some rough pricing together and may need to come out a second time to consul with us. (I just listened to the ring conversation again to make sure I captured everything correctly). The rest that you wrote was NEVER communicated with us AND even if you believed the tech told us those things, someone should've responded to my FB message or voicemail message. It shouldn't take a public review to get a response! ------ Super disappointed in this business. I contacted them November 22nd via FB messenger. Had guys come out and measure. They said the quote would be emailed to us. Waited two weeks, didn't receive an email. I contacted them again on FB messenger and asked when I should expect the quote. They responded and asked who my salesman was which I didn't know but gave him my address. He never responded. We figured they must be slammed during the holidays so gave them some grace. My husband called last week and left a message stating someone came out and measured and we'd like the quote. To date, no email, no call back, nothing... you've got to wonder how people like this stay in business! SO DISAPPOINTED! read more

We saw Trimlight at the Del Mar home show. Their light display drew us in to their booth. We met Alex and were very intrigued. Alex came out to our house very quickly to measure, discuss the options and give us a quote. He is very professional, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. We were sold! Alex was not high pressure at all. Installation was hassle free. We needed an electrician due to our configuration, Alex handled it all. The app is very easy to use. My husband is thrilled he never has to hang Christmas lights again. My granddaughter loves to play with the lights and save new patterns. During the day you don't even notice there are lights on the house, at night they come to life. Currently we built an "accent" pattern set on a timer. This pattern lights up the corners of our house and above the doorways. On 4th of July we had all the red, white and blue lights going. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming, we are looking forward to lighting up the house with different themes. We are very happy customers. I highly recommend Alex and Trimlight. read more
