Gotta be honest here, went with the little ones (3-6 years old) and we weren't impressed at all. You pay $40 per band and they are non transferable so 3 people immediately turns into $120. It does not cover the roller coaster or the kiosk games like the water gun race (which is $10 per player for a single 30 second round....even the worker agreed it's a rip off). The rides themselves were okay, they have a whole little section for kiddie rides and then a larger outdoors section with bigger rides that cover most ages up to adults. But, within 1.5 hour we already went on most of the rides we wanted to go on. And still had 1.5 hours to go as the band is for 3 hours. So paying $160 for an hour and a half wasn't really worth it in my opinion. Maybe for a larger group or something but for us, not really worth it. I wouldn't say it's bad. So on a Monday, with like 1 kid on a ride the kid running the fire engine would not a little girl ride when she is just at the YES. I understand being super picky if there are lines but 1 kid on the ride. Waste of money and horrible service workers. Always great to visit in the evening to enjoy all the lights. This year it was not overly crowded. The lines were short and the kids got on multiple times with no wait. The park was clean and had an easy flow to get around. They have outdoors and indoor rides. Keep in mind the indoor rides are for younger children. The unlimited wristbands were $40 each with a card to be scanned for each ride. Overall the kids had a good time and I got my step goals for the day. read more

In order for your small child to go on a ride, even as simple as the carousel, Trimper requires a parent to also pay to ride. This is senseless. The rides are nostalgic but not above any carnival. Excluding old rollercoaster. You also must pay 5-8 dollars to go on the average ride unless you buy a wristband. A wristband is $50 at night. Yes. You heard me. For average carnival grade rides. So before you decide to walk past these rides and let your toddler talk you into it.... Bribe them with ice cream and save your money. read more

The site and the sign out front says they open at 3 pm. We arrived at 3:45pm. They were not open and no one was inside. As we wandered the boardwalk we went to the Riley mirror maze. It was fun and enjoyable for our little kids. We couldn't go to Jolly Roger's on the boardwalk since my kids would only be able to go on two of the ~10 rides. So we thought Trimper would be perfect. Only it wasn't open. We came back around at 4:45pm to check again and noticed some employees bustling around. We asked and they said they'd be open at 5 pm. We waited the 15 min and went to the open desk to purchase a wristband for the family price $25 per person as advertised online and the sign next to the desk. They said they only honor that price before 5 pm. We were extremely upset and taken aback since there is no mention of that policy anywhere and they opened the gates at 5 pm. Now instead of $100, we would have to pay $180. We left and will not be returning. read more

We loved it here! Perfect rides for little ones. We loved that the majority of the toddler rides were under a roof. The antique rides were so charming and well-kept. The ride operators were extremely mindful of the safety of the riders and took time to interact and make special memories with my kiddos. We would highly recommend! read more

We drove alll the way here from Bethany Beach after abandoning Funland at Rehoboth because they were literally charging $20/person for an hour and a half of walking around WATCHING your kids on games. So it would have cost us $120 (2 & 6 year olds, parents and grandparents) to just watch the kids and they wouldn't even let us go in to figure out what rides, if any the 2 year old could ride. Ugh. So, we put our coins back in our pockets and drove to Ocean City where Trimper's greeted us with more rides, and no cover for non-riders! For $60, we all got to watch the boys and my husband (the designated parent) ride around on a dozen or so delightful rides. The only caveat to the review is that the $20 is a timed limit and they had several rides that were broken (the kids bumper boats and Ferris wheel) and several being manned by one operator so there was a long wait between which made it more annoying that the wristbands were timed. Overall 90 minutes is about what you need to get all the fun you Can out of this place with very small kids, but the kids LOVED it and for that reason alone, it gets 5 stars! The staff members are also kind and accommodating, and they do an excellent job cleaning between rides. Going on the Tuesday after Labor Day meant it was the end of the season so the lines were shorter and it was so much fun! read more

We went at 3ish. Wristbands were until 5 (1 to 5). I wasn't sure how many rides we could get in under 2 hours so I decided to buy the 60 tickets.That's probably a mistake. After the big wheel and big roller coaster I was done with tickets. I wish I would have purchased the wristbands. Rides were great! read more

Since you deleted my comment on a post from your page when I commented about my family's extreme disappointment in Trimpers, I'll post it right here. I even private messaged your page last night. The post was stated as seen but no reply. Being told that the indoor rides were remaining open when in fact Trimpers made the decision at the same time to close the indoor rides for the evening is totally unacceptable. It is extremely disappointing how many iconic Trimper's rides have been removed. It is a well known fact that Trimper's has lost buisness from many families who for generations have enjoyed the Trimper's experience prior to the disappointing change. My family has patronized Trimper's for 3 generations. We paid for parking after confirming with the employee who answered our call assuring us that the indoor rides would remain open. Sure, it's old, and the inside hasn't changed since the '50s, but it's NOSTALGIC PEOPLE. I gave it four stars because the bathroom was a mess, and my wife said the women's bathroom had no running water. Other than that, prepare to pay 100$ for 3-night wristbands and hit that nostalgia hard friends. read more

I like playing on the rides. I have had A lot of fun on these rides. I have done a lot of the indoor rides for small kids, and I have done the indoor carousel with my grandmother and my mom. I also like the bounce house that is outside. I really want to try the haunted house next summer. read more

I love the nostalgia of Trimpers Amusement park. Old school rides for children and kiddies alike. The carousel features wooden, hand carved animals and creatures, and I believe it was built in 1901. Love the old world feel of the rides, lots of visual intrigue and curiosity just stepping into this place. Not expensive but rides as short but you can pay more to go longer or try out a variety - good for kids since they have short attention spans. We came right after season and the larger rides were not operational. But the kinds enjoyed the bumper cars, air guns (15 shots for two quarters), frog ride and boat ride. The indoor ride park is probably the saddest, most depressing place on the boardwalk. Maybe it wasn't this bad pre-pandemic, but it's dim lighting and lot of rides aren't in operation. And of the ones that were running, there was one thing on a track that just whipped kids around the turn, and a water one that looked disgusting. Regardless of how old I get, everytime my family and I or my friends and I come to OC, we'll always go on at least one of these rides. I've been coming here since the first time I came to OC. There are many different rides and something for everyone to enjoy. I always go on the roller coaster and the spinning car ride but if you're afraid of heights or get quest easily, the haunted house ride is great. The tickets are pretty cheap, it's 60 cents for each ticket or you can get 40 tickets for $20 and different rides need different amounts of tickets. Overall, it's a great place to go after fun at the beach and/or walking on the boardwalk. read more

It doesn't seem to change and some of the rides are old but it's the nostalgic memories that make you forget BUT........ Then you get to the ticket booth and you the prices have gone up and the band that use to last all day until closing....now is 12-5pm on the holiday. I understand the cost going up so make the band's have like a additional $5 surcharge and different color for AFTER 5pm. ($26+$5 for after hours) gladly I would purchase it but NOT the tickets. Either way, take it all in and have fun. Be a kid again. I would have given it 5 stars but the price structure is messy! I hope they fix it next year Summer 2017! read more

I had purchased tickets in 2019 which never expired. I did not go to last summer due to Covid I went to use them only to find out that they went to a new system and will not honor those tickets. Customer service said that they sent a memo, I asked how could they send a memo without having people's information. Was told that they posted in FB and in newspapers. I would have no reason to check their website or the legal notices. Their prices went up by $7 for 4 hours after first card swipe where previously it was for 6 hours. If purchasing individual tickets it could cost you $6 for one ride. We've been frequenting this location for over 16 years and I will not give them another penny of my money ever again. Nice to see that they've finally upgraded their rides, finally! Happy also to see that the place was empty and hope to continue to see it empty and not make money! read more

I've been coming Trimper's Rides ever since way back when the excitement of the Snoopy Planes would cause me to lose control of my bladder and leave a wet spot on the seat for the next passenger. Yes, last summer was great! The truth is, there are few places in this region, if anywhere, that can compare with Trimper's for an unreconstructed nostalgic carnival atmosphere. I was hanging out in here thirty years ago, and I don't think anything has changed. My dad rode some of these same rides before me. Now I take my own kids there and buy a 40 pack of tickets for 18 bucks and let them revel in these 1950's (if not earlier) rides. They go spinning around in fire trucks while the calliope wails like a seaside zoo, and all is bliss. I stick to the inside rides with my little ones, but they have an outside area behind the boardwalk with more thrilling attractions for those too jaded to ride the Popeye Boats. In addition to buying ride tickets, they also sell bracelets good for unlimited all day riding, but my children can't read yet, so don't tell them. Of all the things you can do in Ocean City that evoke summers past none is finer than Trimper's. Even if you have no kids, take a walk through and remember what carnivals were like in your youth before the era of deep fried kool aid. read more

Trimper's on the Boardwalk is a must-stop location for those with younger kids in tow who can't really enjoy the big rides or participate in the teenage hormone festival going on in the arcades and out on the boardwalk. This indoor, air conditioned area of a larger park complex is full of rides perfect for those 2 and up. The centerpiece is a huge, gorgeous, antique carousel that's well maintained and operated. Lots of other rides, including bumper cars (2 tracks -- one for little kids and one for big kids), a mini ferris wheel, a few cars-on-tracks kind of rides, and even a boat ride. All in all there's about ten rides in the building, and a shooting gallery. The kids simply love coming here. $18 gets you a pile of tickets that should last about an hour, as the ride timers are very generous. Make sure you get the $1 off coupon that's running around. The operators are friendly and understanding -- I think they keep all the surly ones outside and let the happy ones work in the air conditioning. Or maybe being outside in the summer makes you surly, I don't know. If the weather is good, the tickets are accepted outside at the rest of the park (also operated by Trimper's) that has several rides that also work for this age group. read more

This place has been a family staple for the past few years now that we've started having kids - they love the rides! It's everything you'd imagine at a second-rate amusement park: spinning rides (cups, planes, etc), small, children's roller coasters, and even "walk throughables" like the mirror maze or pirate's cove. The pricing is a bit much - it's $0.60 a ticket ($0.50 if you buy 40 tickets for $20). They also have an all day pass (which is the best bang for your buck), but as an adult, it does feel congested at times and I'm not sure I'd want to spend an entire day here! Overall, it's a decent place to spend some time with your kids and it's right at the boardwalk, so there's plenty to do for everyone once you're done with the rides! read more

Oh Trimpers. Trimpers, Trimper, Trimpers. This place is an institution. Ocean City's ideal family amusement park. Young, old, and everything in between will find something to do. All the classics are present, the Tilt-A-Whirl, Himalayas, Scrambler, Matterhorn (or the Thunderbolt as some may call it) and the indoor section has a slew of kiddie rides the most itty bitty ones can enjoy. When I was a kid I vividly remember how overjoyed I would get the moment we crossed the bridge into OC's mainland and I could see both the Tidal Wave and the Ferris Wheel. Now that I'm older it's lost some charm. These are some rather classic, yet somewhat outdated rides. Don't get me wrong, I will always go to Trimper's if I'm in OC and they have added some new thrill rides to spruce it up (Zamperla's Endeavor comes to mind), but it's simply not as magical. read more

Visited this place during our extended Labor Day Weekend getaway from New York City. We stayed closeby so a nice walk along the boardwalk to Trimpers was a joy. Trimpers is definitely a no frills old school amusement park. It was perfect for my 3 year old who likes the easy going rides. This place kind of filters out the teenage and young adult crowd. It is perfect for children under 10 and thats all who i saw there. A lot of the older rides were mechanical, which was cool. I loved to see the gears and mechanics functioning. Tickets for the rides were very inexpensive, 50 cents per ticket with rides varying from 4 tickets all the way to 8 tickets. Most rides have minimum heights that you can ride by yourself, and then another height requirement if accompanied by an adult. Adults do have to pay for their seats on the rides though. A ride operator was even nice enough to allow my girlfriend to go with my son for free because he was a bit scared. The staff is very helpful and friendly, which is a big plus when dealing with children. An overall great experience, the only downfall is that its not somewhere that you would spend for long. A lot of the rides are classic spinning or rotating and can become boring after some time. I'd say about 2 hours or so. Don't plan on spending a full day there. read more

Trimper's is a small boardwalk park that has an incredible collection of amazing classic rides. If you're looking for a huge roller coaster, head away from the coast - but if you want some sweet old-time thrills, take an afternoon or evening at Trimper's. The carousel is so beautiful - antique and hand-carved/painted, with great variety of animals. The Toboggan and the Zipper will show you how spoiled we are with the silky-smooth modern engineering of rides these days. We crunched our spines on the Toboggan and broke a camera on the Zipper - but laughed hysterically and had a great time on both rides! The Wacky Worm is really cute and classic, too. The Matterhorn ride is a staple at amusement parks, but this one is FAST - sort of scary, actually. With timed rides like this one, it's worth noting that the ride operators let you ride for a relatively long time (especially if the park isn't crowded). Some of the rides are designed for the little ones, but a lot of them are antiques and are at least fascinating to look at. Consider getting a wristband for the day - tickets are fairly priced, but if you want to spend a while, the wristband give you unlimited access to the amusements - sweet! Also, let's not forget how important it is to support locally-owned businesses! The Trimper family is SO sweet and kind. If you bump into one of them at the park, he will be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you have. This is a must when we come to OC. We come twice a year and come during the times for the wristbands. I believe it's 1-6 on the weekdays, not sure the weekend hours. Since my kids are 9 and 3 they love to get on multiple times and the wristbands seems the most practical for us. read more

Get the wristband for $26-$2 coupon=$24 mon to fri 1-6pm and sat-sun 12-5 - well worth it - even though jolly rogers is basically same price atleast here they DONT charge you if your kid isn't big enough to go solo. I have been going to Trimper's rides since the early 90's to mid 2000's with my family and now, since 2019, I bring my own family. Having said that , my experience with this park has been slowly decreasing in quality. They keep removing their iconic rides such as the Zipper, double ferris wheel, flying carpet, and Tobbagan. The iconic band organ that used to grace visitors as they entered the indoor portion of the park is also missing. Our last visit, 08/07/22, I brought my two daughters, 2 and 3 YOA, and purchased the day armbands for $30 each totaling $60. Upon entering the indoor rides, at least half of the rides were non operational due to lack of staff. Being my daughters were below certain height requirements for the bigger outdoor rides, they were confined mostly inside so they were only able to go on about 4-5 rides. Outside, there were 2 rides they met the height requirements but needed to accompanied by an adult. My wife asked to take them through the pirate maze but was abruptly informed that she would need to purchase her own armband or ticket to do so. So in a nutshell, I spent $60 on armbands and my daughters were only able to go on a handful rides. I hope Trimper's rides find my review as constructive criticism. All in all my girls did have a good time on the rides they were able to go on, but as a parent and customer, the park left a lot to be desired unfortunately. 20 Years ago, different story. read more
