The Jolly Roger Water Park is a day of water filled activities. Great family fun for all ages. The staff is very friendly and helpful should you need directions (for food or lockers). They have tons of people on staff so we always felt safe in the water attractions. The lockers were clean and the bathrooms vs changing rooms were separate which helps maintain the cleanliness of the place. Prices of the locker were reasonable. Lazy river was the most relaxing but my kiddos really enjoyed the wave pool and the climbing apparatuses. Fun spot to keep cool in the summer sun and generally, a nice open space. There are two sides to the park, lockers on both. Food is served on one side only, think hot dogs and ice cream. Otherwise, you're allowed to leave the park and bring food in from the adjacent Jolly Roger theme park. They are literally next to one another. Best part for those that just want to take a dip and then get some sun, plenty of lounge chairs available with and without shade as needed. I did come during the Summer 2021 (Aug./Sept. 1st week) during the pandemic but I felt very safe and socially distanced from others. It was not crowded either but I'm betting during the normal summer months, it could be much more packed. I guess I lucked out on the timing. POP tickets gets you admission to multiple parks or you can choose a combo ticket for select parks. My family and I scored a coupon at our local hotel and the Town Tourist catalog. Be sure to check, saves money on admission. Plus, our combo ticket got us a free game of mini golf. The tickets also allow you to do multiple days so they don't expect you to finish all the parks in a day (you just can't, but enough hours in the day). My family had so much fun! I am so glad that we got there super early. It was a beautiful day in Ocean City and we spent a few hours at this place. And we were not disappointed at all! this place is not on a huge lot however they have a ton of great rides and plenty of places to just enjoy the water on this lot. They also offer a military discount. The rides were great the lines were never too long and there was plenty a great customer service to go around. I really liked how serious the lifeguards took their jobs. I would recommend this place to any family on vacation in Ocean City or locals, go check them out!! read more

Take advantage of the afternoon special: after 3:00 PM you pay $31 ($16 for seniors) and have access to the entire park with minimal lines for 3 hours. A wave pool, multiple splash pads, body slides, an aqualoop, a water coaster, a toilet bowl, a half pipe, and more. We didn't wait longer than 10 minutes for anything, and never ran out of slides before they closed. We've done other water parks in the area, and nothing in Ocean City comes close to the size of Splash Mountain. The first thing I saw when arriving was a rat swimming in the kid area. Following that we witnessed multiple lifeguards on their cell phones. There wasn't much for our 3 year old to do as half the time they allowed him on some slides and the other half they said he wasn't tall enough despite having just rode the same slide. read more

What a fun time! Came here in a group of 6. Prices are as expected, although if you get tickets online they might have coupons. We got a deal on 4 tickets with about a $45 discount and only had to pay full price for 2 tickets. The park has lots of awesome pools, slides, food and beverage stands, lockers, etc. Perfect for little kids, big kids, and adults! I do wish there were a bit more signs throughout the park to indicate where things are, but aside from that I had no complaints. read more

Wow what fun did my family and I have at this water park . We were visiting from NYC. 44.99 for anyone 42 inches or higher. Lazy river, wave pool, lots of slides and more. Such a great place for friends and family . The lockers are 8 dollars for medium size and 12 for the large. Lots of food vendors also but just like any amusement park or water park buying food from inside the establishment is always more expensive, that Is the only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Parking is free which is a plus. I advise buy your tickets online and get to the park early . I am definitely turning this into a yearly thing for my family and I. My son Is 7 and boy did he enjoy. So the kids enjoyed themselves. Few things that kinda just didn't go with me. The life guards sitting. Maybe I'm used to our lifeguards walking and helping , instead of sitting and blowing a whistle and not helping the kids out of the water. Like blowing a whistle is going to make the younger one who can't swim that well move any quicker. The wave pool- I don't know why they would allow tubes to be in there. I seen so many kids getting hit and knocked over from the tubes when the wave pool was active. Then the tubes are right on top of them. What life guard is watching that? Bc I seen none paying attention. The last thing.... Why can we not wear water shoes??? A lot of people don't wear them and a lot of people do. Every ride made us take them off. It would be nice to wear especially for my oldest who protects her feet from any infections etc due to her being diabetic. Besides that. That's it. My youngest son did go carts with his father. This is a refreshing park that I truly enjoyed it and recommend to families to bring their children. Youngsters, even toddlers are able to enjoy the water sprinklers, and pool as well as the adults. The prices are affordable. I went in after 3:00 pm, paid half the price, and was able to go into most of the rides. The snacks they offered for sell is Hot Dogs, sweets as Flannel Cakes, ice cream, pop corn, nachos. They have a mini arcade at the entrance and gift shop. My favorite ride was the Splash Mountain. Overall, I recommend this amusement Park Jolly Roger in Ocean Beach Maryland. My recommendation is that you pay $8.00 for the lockers to keep your phones, clothes and shoes save from the water. Ladies set aside a couple extra hours In your day to go home and shower. The men get two sets of hot showers. We get one and the water isn't room temp. It's ICY cold. That's been the case all summer. If you are ok with icy cold, I have nothing else but A+ positive feedback on the slides themselves. I prefer the body slides (fast and lots of twists and turns). Great staff, fun tunes in the background. Nice wave pool and lazy river. Just don't plan on going from there to dinner. read more

When came on a hot summer day, perfect for a water park. It took a little while to find a parking space. It was busy and there was a line with roughly 20 people when we arrived. Despite buying the tickets in advance, you still wait in the regular line. There is no separate line for pre-paid tickets. It is a little expensive to take the entire family but it is a water park and you can stay all day. There are many different slides, a huge play area for the little ones, and a lazy river. You can easily spend the day here. There are stands to buy drinks and quick bites to eat. I would bring lunch with us next time. The Park was clean and there are lots of people working. There are lockers you can pay to use. Overall, it was a very good experience and we will definitely come again. read more

Ocean City was a staple of my childhood and while I am familiar with most of the attractions, I don't remember Jolly Rogers having a water park. I do recall some pathetically small water park called "Slide and Ride", but I do believe that is looooooong gone. If not, it should be. But Splash Mountain is a solid water park! The selection is totally better than what I figured. Ocean City isn't exactly the most ideal place to have a water park after all, despite how contradictory that may sound. There's simply not enough land! Given the space they have to work with, there's a good amount of attractions! Some are high thrill like the ever daunting Aqualoop which will drop you and send you SPEEDING through an actual loop, while others are much more tame like your basic slides and lazy river. My pal and I did every crazy thing they had in two hours (which shows how small it is) and had a blast! The Master Blaster and Stealth ALL THE WAY! Also the Rapids will wreck you but you won't see it coming. Promise. ;) Maneuvering is an absolute headache though! There are signs, but getting around is like moving through a maze. Certain rides looked next to each other, but you would have to go AROUND THE WAY to actually reach them. Its super confusing. Either way, definitely a spot to head to! My teenage son really enjoyed himself there but had to go in by himself while we watched him from the adjacent parking lot. (Speedway allows parents to go in even though they don't go on the rides.) Only open from 10 to 6 so I recommend getting there early. If you get there after noon, you'll have to go a long way to get to parking. A great place to cool off on a hot day with a great variety of rides for the kids. read more

Fun waterpark. Clean. "Family 4 pack" was affordable while on vacation. My only issue was with some of the lifeguards. My husband and I witnessed two on their phones while on duty (one on lazy river one at the top of a body slide). Also a lifeguard walking away to vape (or maybe smoke?) While he was working at the "cannon ball". It was a designated smoking area but he was clearly the only one watching that particular attaction. Smoking areas should be outside the park. Many times I caught wind of smoke. One of my children is asthmatic and I don't expect to smell smoke while trying to enjoy a waterpark! Also wave pool was closed when arriving but we were told it would open at 12. It never did. read more

I'm a child of the 80s, which means I dragged my parents to Jolly Roger in that decade on numerous occasions. 1980s Jolly Roger was a pit. It stunk, it was filthy, and you took your life into your hands going on any of the attractions. So it was with some trepidation that I brought my family to Splash Mountain in 2015. Well, to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Splash Mountain has evolved into a clean, top tier waterpark. Yes it's expensive, but honestly I don't mind that if it helps keep some of the riff-raff out. The crowd there seemed pretty well behaved during my visit; at no point was I annoyed with roving gangs of teenage kids. The slides are great and well maintained. The staff is largely indifferent to you, but what do you expect, it's a bunch of 17 year old Ukrainians. I'm sure that if either of my kids had actually started drowning that one of them would have jumped in to save them, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. My kids ended up having a total blast. My five year old is tall and met the 42" height requirement that most of the slides have, and enjoyed them all. My two year old loved the water jets and small slides in the kiddie areas (of which there are several). My wife wasn't disgusted by the place. What more could a dad ask for? read more

Beware. They do not cap admission and lines take an hour per ride during peak season. So $40 for 4-5 rides max. Taco in a bag is $10. At 4 they make you walk back down the stairs when the park closes. They should let everyone in line ride and rope off the line. The park is expensive, packed and lines are VERY long. Save your money. We went back again... and I must confess it was the most fun I have ever had at such a place. It was busy, but not packed and it was a beautiful day. The lazy river flowed... lazily, and without traffic jams or kids darting in and out and being ridiculous. We didn't do many slides... I guess we just weren't in the mood. Only my youngest had to use a vest in the wave pool, and he wanted to anyway. The wave pool, compared to any other comparable park I have been to, was really not wall to wall people. There was room to float on a tube and enjoy it! They (again) loved the tacos. Hubby & I (again) enjoyed snacks from home because we could take a cooler in. The highlight for us this trip was a 3 hour game of water volleyball with strangers - they came in shifts and a few would come and a few would leave but it was always fun. I don't remember that attraction from the past visits. The guards at this attraction were wonderful and laughing and cheering and fetching balls for us when it would shoot out of the pool. I really didn't want to go but MAN did I have fun. So did everyone else. We closed the place down! read more

This place is a joke. We showed up FIRST IN LINE on a Thursday morning and proceeded to wait there until the Russian staff at the front desk were able to figure out the credit card machines. 10am came and went, as well as people paying with cash, as we stood there, with zero feedback or status of what was going on. Finally after standing there for 15 minutes, they decided to try the credit machine again and it worked. The rope was still up so we jumped over it. The workers still hadn't gotten around to opening up the park! Unbelievable. This was a sign of things to come... Lockers are coins only (no cards, obviously). The layout of this place is completely disjointed and scattered, which makes navigating around a complete pain in the ass. Nothing was ever clear, from where the lines began, to which ride led to which set of stairs, to which rafts to grab for which ride. And apparently some rides are "double tubes only", which isn't evident until you reach the front of the line. The main attraction at Splash Mountain is called, "Aqualoop", "Hailed by Popular Mechanics as the #1 waterslide in the country". Yeah, okay. It is the tall, orange tower and we immediately head there and are stopped by the attendant saying that anyone wearing ANYTHING pierced cannot go on the ride. I have my ears pierced, which would have been easy enough to remove, but I also have my tragus and rook pierced. I can't take that out! And I reckon most females have their ears pierced and were unable to go on this damn ride because of this unnecessarily conservative rule. I observed the line at this attraction and noticed it was close to empty THE ENTIRE DAY. That's because no one is authorized to ride the damn thing! I'll take my chances, I mean seriously. That's ridiculous. So my boyfriend went on and I did not. We went to go on the other large, green tower next to it and after getting all the way up, the rude Russian worker waited until it was our turn and scoffed that only double tubes were aloud. And then chastised us while pointing at the small print on the ride's description: "Read!" Wow. You think you could have mentioned that while you sat there and watched us with our single tubes the whole time we were up there? My boyfriend dragged them all the way down the tower and came all the way back up with a double tube. Waste of time. Basically, the trend of the day was incredibly rude and indifferent service and attitudes from the workers at this park. We literally caught some of the guards asleep, which really questioned their capability of SAVING LIVES. The wave pool was violently choppy, resulting in nausea, and there were a few dud slides but otherwise, we had a good time. Overall, the owner of this park must be a real hard-on, dictating HOW visitors can ride the rides to avoid the smallest amount of liability. I'll ride my tube the way I want. I'll choose to use a single or a double tube. And I'll keep my damn earrings in if that's the risk I want to take. Jeez. For $40 a pop, this place needs a serious staff overhaul and new management. We had a lot of fun today. 6 of us and we spent 94$ for the 4 of us to get in. Our twin 2 year olds were with us as well but got in for free. We had a blast with all the water slides, the tide pool, and the little kiddie areas. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. I do like they let you bring in your own cooler of food. They have a food stand, but it was crazy long line to order all through the middle of the day. They also allow you to come and go. This park is well maintained, clean, and has plenty to keep the kids occupied. The ONLY draw back, and it is a BIG one, is that the staff is RUDE and STANDOFFISH. This was a great place 25 years ago, and it's bigger and better now than ever before! So many slides--slides that you ride by lying down; inner tube slides; two person inner tube slides; and yes, the amazing Aqua Loop! There's even a lazy river and a wave pool, neither of which was there in the old days. I remember a great mini golf course that used to wind around the water park--my son didn;t believe me, and it turns out there's a few old vestiges of that course remaining surrounding the waterpark--cool! I've spent time at the water park areas of Hersheypark, King's Dominion, and Six Flags the past two summers, and Splash Mountain just blows them all away. read more

This is an amazing water park. If you are in ocean city on vacation or live in that area this place is a must go. It is expensive but trust me it is worth every penny. They have very unique and fun slides such as the aqua loop and stealth (half pipe). They don't have much to do for toddlers but overall it's a big park with lots of slides. The life Garuda were very nice and friendly but slacked off a bit. They let so many empty tubes fill up in the lazy river that no one could move. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! I hadn't been to a water park in almost 10 years, and this one was a lot of fun! I went on the scariest water slide of my life there. It was actually a mistake, because you can't tell which line goes to which slide in some instances. It was terrifying and we were screaming our heads off, but it was a fun experience nevertheless! It's a little expensive at $34.99 (coupons can usually be found it tourist books) but if you go after 4 PM it's only $20. read more

I don't know if we just got lucky or if this waterpark is always like this. We arrived at noon on a really hot August day and were pleased to find that there were not any lines. Had a bad day here yesterday. The lines were out way past the ride entrances, so long that it wasn't even worth waiting to go on the rides (which admittedly looked pretty cool). My main complaint was the lack of available rafts to use for the rides. When I asked the staff where to get the rafts, they told me that I'd have to ask other patrons for them and that i'd have to wait for some to become available! For the pricey admission, to be told that i'd have to go begging for a raft after entering the park didn't sit well with me. There was such a shortage that people were hoarding them according to the staff member. He said that I had every right to take one away from someone if they weren't using their raft and had taken a raft back to their seating area. Of course I love to spend my vacation day starting confrontations with other vacationers over a raft! I don't blame people for hoarding rafts when the water park's policy turns rafts into such a scarce commodity. Who wants to play the raft hunting game more than once? Here's an idea Splash Mountain... Take all of that money you're raking in from your overpriced admission and buy some more freaking rafts!!! Also, you should probably set the food booths up to take credit cards. It's a lot easier to carry around a credit card in your swimsuit pocket than a wad of wet cash. On a positive note, the rides looked like they'd be a lot of fun if the lines hadn't been so long. It would've been nice to actually get to try them. Also I did get to try some of the open pool areas like the wave pool and that was a lot of fun. Not enough to outweigh the raft fiasco, but fun. read more

Me (25) and my 13 year old sister came here for the day. We had a blast here. For the parks location across from the beach they crammed a good amount of rides into the water park. Me and sis had fun on the Master Blaster, Eye of the Hurricane, Speed slides, Rapids, Lazy River and the jungle gyms for kids was even fun! These rides were a good mix of thrilling and relaxing. We went on rides multiple times and could even go double tube on all of these rides which was great because we could ride together. Ride attendants were sort of unhelpful since they didn't actually push you forward or help when my sister was trying to get on the speed slide to help her and the operator just stared. Another con was that the location of rides on the park grounds was a little confusing since so many rides are crammed together. Also I don't think we could have water shoes so we took them off before each ride but wished we could keep them on because it was annoying to keep taking them off. In any case, liked that they let you bring water and food into the park since it saved us a ton on expensive food. Overall was a great deal since with our hotel discount it was only $31 each! Definitely coming back next year. read more
