Course was very overrun. Lots of debris on the holes. And then it was 12.00 a person. We had fun though.

You know what you never hear about? People going to Hawaii to play mini-golf. I used to think (on those very, very, very rare occasions that I thought about it) that this was a shame. I mean, the greatest "sport" in the world (sorry, bowling) in a beautiful spot like Hawaii? But now I know why. Apparently the climate isn't conducive. The thick grasses that make big golf so great there (so I've heard), make mini-golf too easy. At least that's the excuse I'm using to give this course a slight benefit of the doubt. For grownups at least, this course doesn't seem very challenging. Except for the (nearly impossible) 10th hole, there are no holes where hitting the ball hard and straight won't get you a par. The reason is that, unlike so many other courses, the carpet is so (tropically?) thick that the ball stays where you put it. And there have been so many grooves worn in the carpet that the ball is almost guided to the hole. That's good in sex (well, maybe not the grooves), but bad in mini-golf. If the customer has a small child whose self-confidence has been shattered by other courses, this is a good one to recover it. The course's surrounding, however, are really beautiful, I have to say. There are plenty of funny plastic amusements. Sharks and surf boards and tiki sculptures (and, thankfully, no pirates). And the water is dyed a beautiful blue as it goes over landscaped waterfalls and a river that runs throughout the course (but, sadly, only has to be avoided on one hole). But it doesn't make the golf any less boringly easy. Frankly, at $7 for all day play before 5:00 p.m., it's kind a ripoff. I didn't want a second crack at any of these holes. My 46 on this "par 44" is a personal best. But it doesn't feel like it. Not that I didn't reward myself with a Hawaiian shave ice for the accomplishment. They sell them here at an attached stand for amazing low prices. And the blue water on the course made me crave them (that's how they get ya!). They're a delicious sidelight to drink and eat at one of the dozens of better courses in town. read more

If i was asked if i would recommend any of nick's mini golf locations, i would not. the courses were terribly kept and not fun to play on

This was a lame overpriced course. It was a family outing and as long as the kids enjoyed it I don't care about the price.However, the help,one very strange man working the counter, was so rude. Grunting and talking in strange voices and using profanity. My kids were afraid. It was an awful experience. read more

I really enjoyed this putt putt place. The course was interesting and had fun obstacles to putt around. We noticed that most of the holes are designed for easier hole in ones than most. If you're looking more for a good friendly relaxing game with you're family rather than competitive, this spot is excellent! 7.5/10 read more

While in ocean city with my husband and three teenage children we visited Maui mini golf It was a little off the beaten track which was good because while all the other golf places visible from the main drag were very crowded this was perfect We got on the course right away and it moved at a good pace The decor was island themed but definitely in need of a make over. This course was ok. Lots of debris and rocks on the greens stopping balls or knocking them in other directions. We went in the daytime to avoid any crowds. The good thing is it was $9.50 a person (standard in OCMD) and our kids were free since they are under 3. They did give us a few coupons when we were finished that included a free hermit crab at Sunsations and a free ice cream cone at the Shugar Shack. read more

Though definitely not my favorite golf course to hit up in the tri-beach area, it wasn't that bad. It's not too expensive and had one of those play-all-day-til-6 dealies going on. The course was only challenging at hole number 8(?) with a par of 4 and after that one, it all went downhill (for me) from there...(read: I did not win this round). As for feeling Hawaiian? There were hibiscus flowers and lilies in the pond area, a giant shark that you can stand next to or put your small child in his mouth and scare the crap outta him... and that's about it. Definitely not my first pick for mini-golfing, but if the line for Old Pro is too long, Maui Golf will suffice. read more

The sign should read: Maui Golf: The Anti-Old Pro Seriously, it's hard to top Old Pro's themed courses. I took Chickadee here last summer at the tender age of 2.5 for her first round of mini-golf. She loved every minute of it and played all 18 holes. Maui Golf shows signs of age from the torn-up greens to the chipped paint on the decorations. Although there are Hawaiian objects d'art, there's no real cohesiveness to the course. A surfboard here, a lei there--not exactly a mini golf masterpiece. It is fun to have a pic of your kid near the giant shark, though. It's fine, I suppose, if you want to avoid the lines at Old Pro. I think that the "play all day" rate is $5 before 6 p.m. Now that Chickadee is a discerning 3.5 year-old, I doubt that we'll return. read more

Decent mini golf close to play with a small group. It takes about an hour on a busy night and staff were friendly.

This place was horrible. Each course was almost identical. The water wasn't running so it was just still water. The only decor was a "crashed" Jeep and plants (not impressed). The lights at night aren't the greatest either. I attached a picture of what was once a photo op prop but it got hacked or something. Not worth $9.50 read more

Great place! The employees were so happy and energetic. The course is great. Even if it looks busy, it'll move quickly. The only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is because if you happen to lose your ball in one of the water areas you have to back track through everyone to go get a new one. We had a blast though. Great Prices, Awesome Food. Family Owned. Came here with my family for a round of golf. For $8 for one round and $9 for unlimited play until 7pm. The hospitality was fantastic. The course was a bit challenging, but it was still fun. After our first round we were pretty hungry. We tried the Hawaiian Style Hot Dog which had mango salsa and pineapple mustard. It was really good. A sweet taste. The prices were great. They also had ice cream, Hawaiian Style Ice, and smoothies. The atmosphere of the Hawaiian course was really appealing, we all enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this place for a family or couple to have a great time for a good price. read more

Little update action here. The has been updated with new sign poles and a couple other new features. The problem why it's fallen to a 4 Star is that the dam water is not turned on for some reason and it's kinda disgusting. There is a bunch of little bugs and stuff living in the water now. Parts where there was water is not empty with no water at all. Nicks dust is definitely taking a slow toll on the place. I will update next year to see if his dust continues or if a miracle happens and his dust is pushed back and Maui golf is restored to its former glory. read more

Maui Golf seems to be the most diverse course, in regards to holes, on the Island as well as having the best prices and coupons. I am throughly pleased whenever I come to play as the staff is always very friendly and cheery as well as respectable people on the course. This is a definite to play. read more

I have been going to this course since the early 90's. Seeing how the course has started and come along all these years have kept me coming back. What used to be a mini arcade is now an awesome shaved ice and ice cream stand. They even added a nice place to sit and play games such as checkers and tic-tac-toe. It has always been decorated beautifully and has been recognized as the most beautiful mini golf course in Ocean City in its past. It's nice seeing wild life such as frogs fish, and birds while playing. The fact that it has been family owned by an Ocean City family has always been a plus for me. I love the play all day, playing over and over again trying to best my score and learn as many tricks as possible to get hole-in-ones. It's a great family course and for me brings back nostalgia as it reminds me of all the games my father and I would play together for hours on end. read more

I've been twice and really like the place. It's not the most complicated mini-golf course, but it's a fun place to play, has a good balance of fun/challenging holes and is in good shape. (Putting surfaces must have been replaced since an earlier review by another poster.) Much of the course has shade, which is nice in the summer. The staff has been very friendly both times. Can't beat the all-you-can-play before 6:00 special. My kids like to play more than one round. In between rounds they have a good selection of Hawaiian ice and hand-dipped ice cream--good quality, and really good prices, especially for this area. They even have a nice little area with checkers/tic-tac-toe/backgammon tables to play on. Very nice touch. read more

Of the 6 mini golf courses we play in OC the Maui was my favorite. The trees add some nice shade. The hills added some challenges. Only complaint is that there is no pole basket thing to use if your ball go in to the blue water. read more

Great location, great prices, friendly staff and personable owners. I live here locally and my kids and I have come to make this our mini golf spot. They also have shaved ice and ice cream. The play is perfect for all ages and offers some challenging holes as well as some that kids can master. Fun for all ages. The greens are clean and look new and the landscaping is very tropical.
